At some point in the past, the Creator assembled a group of four Trophies to act on its behalf: to ensure compliance, each Trophy was imbued with a "self-destruct" of sorts—if any of the mercenaries were to defy orders, the Creator's essence inside of them would be destroyed, effectively destroying the Trophy as well. Currently, three objectives of theirs are known: destroying Ridley, capturing Bowser so the Creator could dismantle him personally, and locating Rayquaza.

General:

  • Anti-Hero: While all of them can be considered this, Samus and Wolf embody the trope in particular. Samus is a condescending Jerkass who firmly believes in Black-and-White Morality when it comes to the Creator's interests vs. Bowser's, while Wolf is Only in It for the Money, who ultimately betrays the group in order to become a member of Team Ganon.
  • Dwindling Party: While initially consisting of four members, the group eventually starts falling apart a little before, and much more after the Hotel Bowser / Norfair incident. Zelda decides to leave the group of her own accord after disagreeing with the Creator's policies, Samus is killed by Ridley in Act III, and Wolf betrays the group by willingly becoming part of Team Ganon in Episode 21. This leaves Snake as the only man actually affiliated with the group by the end of things.

"Here in reality, dreams don't save the world!"

A ruthless bounty hunter, and the object of Wario's affection. She is tasked by the Creator to bring Bowser to Him.

  • Action Girl
  • Anti-Hero: Although her mission to capture Bowser is seen as morally wrong to Peach and the others, she's only acting because it's the will of God.
  • Arm Cannon: Her main weapon.
  • Bounty Hunter: Sent by the Creator to capture Bowser and bring him in to them.
  • Berserk Button: Samus cannot stand Wario in the slightest due to him constantly stalking and professing his love for her.
  • Broken Pedestal: Becomes this to both Peach and Wario after her mission to capture Bowser is revealed to the public. Beforehand, Peach had looked up to Samus as an idol and role model of hers, whereas Wario had his one-sided crush on her.
  • Charged Attack: Her Plasma Cannon.
  • Dying Declaration of Love: Downplayed. While she doesn't say it, Samus's last thoughts before she's swallowed whole by Ridley are of Wario's smiling face.
  • Lust Object: For Wario.
  • Ms. Fanservice: The main reason why Wario lusts after her. This fact repulses her in the Miiverse short, where she is furious that people see her only as a sex symbol.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: Regardless of what others say about her mission to capture Bowser, she knows that the Creator's word is absolute, and refuses to back down.
  • Plasma Cannon: Uses this to try and subdue Bowser. It didn't work.
  • Samus Is a Girl: Uttered word for word by Bowser in Racconto File 12. Justified, considering Samus was never seen outside of her armor in Melee.
  • Send in the Clones: Dedede has several "Zero Suits," floozies who are modeled after Samus. As to how he cloned her and why they're bustier than the original... Well, that's better left a mystery. Peach implies that Samus is aware of their existence, and hates looking at them.
  • Shock and Awe: Uses her paralyzer to take care of Wario whenever he stalks her.
  • Swallowed Whole: Meta Ridley eats her in a single bite in the premiere of Part 3.

"I won't shed a tear when I shoot you both."

A stone-cold mercenary, tasked with capturing Bowser by the Creator.

  • Anti-Hero: Helps Bowser escape from Ganondorf's lair, only to try and capture him (albeit reluctantly) some time later.
  • BFG: His Grenade Launcher.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Played with. Snake doesn't actually want to take Bowser by force, hoping that there's another way to make things right. Unfortunately, he is unable to find the "legend" (later revealed to be Rayquaza) in time, forcing him to follow the Creator's orders to the letter.
  • Made of Iron: Despite being stabbed In the Back by Phantom Ganon, he's still alive. Though that might have to do with the fact that he and the others are trophies with different kinds of bodies and probably no normal organs, but hey, still cool.
  • Pet the Dog: Snake might have orders to capture Bowser on behalf of the Creator, but he still treats the guy nicely before the Norfair incident. He willingly assists Zelda in rescuing him from Ganondorf in Episode 8, and informs him that his team is currently fighting Donkey Kong at Jungle Japes. There's also the fact that he tried to avoid going through with the Creator's orders by trying to locate Rayquaza instead.
  • Send in the Clones: The Metal Gears, who are Dedede's personal army of guards. Like Samus and the Zero Suits, it's unknown how Snake was cloned.
  • Smoky Voice: Up until Episode 18, his voice was played the same way as the English-language localized versions of his home games, giving him a weathered, gruff, and gravelly voice.
  • Sole Survivor: With Samus dead, and Zelda and Wolf willingly leaving the group for their own reasons, Snake is the only active member of the Creator's mercenaries as of Episode 21.
  • Sticky Bomb: Part of his arsenal.
  • Vocal Evolution: Snake's voice was initially a gruff and gravelly Smoky Voice, which resembled the character's original voice actor, David Hayter, from his respective series. After being replaced by TokaAsh, Snake's voice is now much more of a baritone, drawing parallels to CrayZBrawlr's Ganondorf voice.
  • Walking Armory: Has a Grenade Launcher and several grenades at his disposal.

"I believe that is game, set, match, dear Bowser."

A ruthless mercenary, tasked by the Creator to capture Bowser. He defects from the group once the situation gets too out of hand, and fully defects to Team Ganon when Ganondorf helps remove the Creator's essence from his body.

  • Affably Evil: While not exactly a villain, he does treat his enemies with some sense of respect. He even states that if Wario weren't an enemy, he'd take him out drinking and try to hook him up with Samus.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: In the Episode 2 remake, he is seen battling Peach in an exhibition match. This is several episodes before his role in the series is revealed, and an entire season before he even plays a prominent role.
  • Evil Brit: He has a slight British accent for much of his appearance, though he's later replaced by a voice actor with a much more American sounding one in the 21st episode.
  • Face–Heel Turn: While Wolf was never really a good guy in the first place, he firmly solidifies himself as a true villain by officially joining Ganondorf in Episode 21, after Ganon helps untether Wolf from the Creator's influence. Since Lucario previously underwent a Heel–Face Turn after rejecting Mewtwo, Wolf is signed on as the new third member of Team Ganon.
  • The Gambler: Enjoys games of chance, including an Absurdly High-Stakes Game involving setting off Smart Bombs.
  • Natural Weapon: His claws.
  • Only in It for the Money: Unlike Snake and Samus, who genuinely believed in the Creator's goals, Wolf only joined the group in order to get handsomely paid. Eventually, this leads to Wolf asking Ganondorf to help him sever ties with the group by removing the "bomb" within him that the Creator implanted in case of disobedience.
  • The Rival: Still appears to be this to Fox and Falco, as Falco recognizes him while they're both infiltrating Ganondorf's headquarters and decide to duke it out. He also appears to see himself as one towards Wario.
  • Smoke Out: Uses Smoke Balls to cover an escape.
  • Tank Goodness: He helps Samus and her team break into where Ganondorf is containing Ridley via the Wolfen.
  • Vocal Evolution: Wolf's voice changes significantly in Episode 21 due to being replaced with a new voice actor; with his dastardly Evil Brit accent toned down significantly.

"The oppressive, despotic soldiers challenging the free, autonomous sovereignty that surrounds them."

A skilled magician, and well-versed poet. She is tasked with capturing Bowser, but is far more apprehensive about doing so compared to her allies.

  • Adaptational Wimp: Most incarnations of Zelda have their own magical abilities. In this series, it's heavily implied that a majority of Zelda's powers come from Midna, who is demonstrated to have quite a powerful chokehold over her.
  • Best Friend: To Peach.
  • Cultured Warrior: An accomplished poet. She enjoys writing poetry with Meta Knight.
  • Grand Theft Me: Becomes on the receiving end of this by Midna come Episode 19, who uses her body to join up with Peach, Meta Knight, Falco and Pit on their way to the Fountain of Dreams, with no one aware of who's really in her body.
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: Although Zelda became part of a mercenary group to defeat Bowser and take him to the Creator, she feels heavily conflicted in doing so. She eventually defects from the group after going rogue one too many times, but by this time, her friendship with Peach is drastically shaken. And that's not even getting into her relationship with Midna...
  • Light 'em Up: Her Light Arrows.
  • Magical Girl
  • Not So Above It All: For all of her collectiveness and relaxed personality, Zelda gets quite miffed at Dedede considering her a "boring" choice for a woman in Episode 8. Although she compliments Dedede on his motivational talk to Peach, she makes sure he gets his comeuppance by furiously beating the crap out of him shortly afterward.
  • Ninja: As Sheik.
  • Psychic Powers: Displays some levels of telepathy, and can receive visions. It turns out that Midna had a hand in this, being responsible for giving a good chunk of Zelda's power set to her.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her eyes briefly flash red while she's being possessed by Midna in Episode 21.
  • Regretful Traitor: Is conflicted about the mission to capture Bowser: not only does it strain her relationship with Peach, but also leads the others to question her loyalty.
  • Ship Tease: With Meta Knight. Episode 5 has the two of them dancing at Bowser's house party, while later episodes reveal that the former often visits Zelda's house to exchange poetry.
  • Smoke Out: As Sheik, she uses this on occasion.
  • Unwitting Pawn: It's revealed in Episode 16 that Zelda is this towards Midna, who gave her the powers that she has, and has a sinister goal that involves getting Bowser and Peach together.
