    Bowser Jr.

"You just don't sleep on the Super-Stong, Ultra Fearsome, and Mega-Chivalric Prince Bowser Jr.!"

The adopted son of Bowser and Liz. He's the de facto leader of the Koopalings, and was in charge of their group prior to meeting Liz.

  • Vitriolic Best Buds: He and Waluigi are quite close with one another, in spite of the fact that they constantly insult one another.
  • Wild Child: Lived with the Koopalings without any parental supervision until Liz showed up.

    The Koopalings

The adopted children of Bowser and Liz. Led by Bowser Jr., they go around causing trouble whenever they can.

  • The Casanova: Roy.
  • Children Are Innocent: Well, Morton is anyway.
  • Double Entendre: Roy's an expert at these.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Iggy. He built a subterranean bunker for the Koopalings to sleep in when Bowser and Liz decide to go at it.
  • Incest Subtext: Roy tries to make a move on Liz. Though it's before she officially becomes their mother, it's still a bit creepy.
  • Saying Too Much: Morton seems prone to this. He reminded Bowser about the kids being grounded, long after Bowser had forgotten.

    PAC-MAN

"Hey there, everybody! How's your day been? I bet it's been smashing!"

A happy-go-lucky trophy who always wants to make someone's day.

  • Ascended Fanboy: While not exactly a fanboy in the literal sense, he does seem to have a lot of respect for Bowser. He's ecstatic when he gets invited into Bowser's group of friends.
  • Happily Married: To Mrs. PAC-MAN.
  • Nice Guy
  • Perpetual Smiler
  • Sixth Ranger: To Bowser's group of friends, even though Bowser doesn't like PAC's constant happiness.

    Palutena

"I'm kind of a big deal."

The Goddess of Light, who rules the Fourth World alongside Dedede. Compared to Mr. Vice Guy Dedede, Palutena is more of a Benevolent Boss.

  • Barrier Maiden: Her duty is to keep the world in balance should evil threaten it. When Ridley and Ganon succeed in conquering New Pork City, both Dedede and Peach realize she needs to be awakened.
  • Benevolent Boss: Pit is more devoted to her than to President Dedede.
  • Big Good: As befitting the Goddess of Light.
  • Canon Character All Along: It was thought that Palutena's only appearances would be in Smash King HD. Then Episode Peach happened.
  • Foil: Arguably, to Midna. Both of them are powerful female deities who keep watch over their respective realms in Brawl, and have many special capabilities. They also both have important characters who borrow their power for plot-related events, those being Peach and Zelda respectively. The differences are that the well-meaning Palutena doesn't meet Peach directly due to being in hibernation mode; instead having her power given to her by President Dedede for an emergency situation until she's able to wake up. On the opposite spectrum, Midna gave Zelda her powers in person, and clearly has some ill intentions waiting to be unleashed at any moment.
  • Gate Guardian: The gatekeeper to the Creator's Realm in Brawl.
  • The High Queen: Palutena, when awakened, rules alongside Dedede to maintain the balance of the World of Brawl. Once this happens in Smash King HD, Dedede's luxurious lifestyle comes to an end.
  • It Amused Me: Her reasoning for putting up with Bowser Jr.'s constant challenges.
  • Light Is Good: A goddess of light whose role is to stop evil when it arises.
  • Physical Goddess
  • Sealed Good in a Can: In Brawl, she was kept in perpetual slumber until the time came for her to intervene.
  • Women Are Wiser: Compared to Dedede, who's usually motivated by his own wants and desires, Palutena acts more rationally.
