Heroes
In general
- Badass Crew: No, seriously. Everyone, including the Butt Monkeys can, or have been known, to pull off some crazy awesome stunts at least once.
Sky (Adam Dahlberg)
The titular character.
- Berserk Button: Any time a squid shows up.
- Calling a Block of Gold a Block of Butter
- Cloud Cuckoo Lander: OH. SO. MUCH.
- Combat Pragmatist: Sky doesn't play fair unless they have to. The best example would be in the second BMX vs. Kamikaze video, where their response to Mithzan crashing their bike in front of them was to shoot him +7 times in the chest before he could stand up.
- Cool Shades: Yes, yes they are. Though a lot of people call them the eyepatch shades.
- Deadpan Snarker: Can be this at times.
- Large Ham: OH GOD YES.
- The Hyena: Adam is almost always laughing. This is why they almost never succeed at Do Not Laugh.
- Through the Eyes of Madness: Out of the main three, they're the only one who can hear the Squids.
Deadlox (AKA Ty / Tyler).
Sky's best friend and a common figure in their videos.
TrueMU (AKA Jason)
Another friend of Sky's and is also a common figure in their videos.
- Big Damn Heroes: He is usually the one to save the gang in PvP. Also, he is the first person Sky calls for when they are scared or startled, to the point that the words "Jason, I'm startled'' have become a sort of meme.
- Calling A Bar Of Gold A Stick Of Butter: He actually does this in his own videos. Not as much as Sky, though.
- Only Sane Man: He has his moments.
- True Companions : With Sky.
HuskyMudkipper (Quentin)
One of Sky's friends, who is a recurring character in their videos.
- Badass in a Nice Suit: He is skilled at PvP, has, on record, lasted the longest in the Survival Games he is in on average(Sky has won more, though), and he has a very nice black/grey suit with a red tie.
- Butt-Monkey: He frequently becomes the target of others during PvP mini-games.
- Catchphrase: The use of the word butts.
- Insistent Terminology: He is often called a "fish", while he insists that he's an amphibian. This always leads to the others bullying him.
- Stuff Blowing Up: To the extent that he does an episode of him blowing up a map every Saturday.
- Token Nonhuman: He's a Pokémon, more specifically a Mudkip, wearing a suit.
ASFJerome (Fluffy/Jerome)
A friend of Sky's who is a recurring character in their videos.
- Badass Adorable: He is renowned throughout Minecraft Youtubers for his skills at PvP, is totally awesome with an axe... and his skin is based off of Chewbacca.
- Badass in a Nice Suit
- Butt-Monkey: Seriously, if something bad has to happen,it will always happen to Jerome first.
- Carpet of Virility:.To quote Sky, "He's a furry animal!"
- CloudCuckoolander
- Heterosexual Life-Partners : With BajanCanadian, who's been friends with him since fourth grade. They commonly appear together in videos.
- Large Ham: Not as much as Sky, but HELL YES.
Dawnables (Dawn)
Sky's ex-fiance, who showed up a fair bit in their videos.
- Amicable Exes: Despite the break-up, she and Sky are still friends.
- Butt-Monkey: She gets ripped on so much that it has become a Running Gag.Sky: For the lulz Dawn! For the lulz!
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Her skin's hair color is split between purple and pink right down the middle, and has mismatched eyes.
MunchingBrotato (Tyler)
A close friend of Sky's and shares his name with Deadlox and Logdotzip (all three of them share the name Tyler). He is great friends with Dartron, Kyle, and Kyle's girlfriend Heather. He has a girlfriend he plays Minecraft with named Shelby.
- Alter-Ego Acting: It's unknown how many he has, but his two most well known ones are an old woman named Janet and Munching Burrito.
- Butt-Monkey: He,Kyle,Dartron, and Shelby (also recently Kyle's girlfriend Heather) embodies this trope. Whenever, you see them in a video at any time, you can guess whatever kind of bad luck falls upon and you'll pretty much almost ALWAYS be right.
- Crossdresser: As with above, he changes his skin depending on either the mood, what's happening or his personality. This can range from him dressed up like a dinosaur, to Janet, to...grumpy cat?
- Hetero Sexual Life Partners: With Kyle.
KKcomics (Kyle)
Kyle is a close friend to Sky and Tyler.
- Butt-Monkey: He, Tyler, Shelby and his girlfriend Heather embodies this trope.Whenever, you see them in a video at any time, you can guess whatever kind of bad luck falls upon and you'll pretty much almost ALWAYS be right.
- Hetero Sexual Life Partners: With Tyler.
- Running Gag: It's been a Running Gag in their Cops N Robbers is that Kyle is almost ALWAYS unable to make it to the boat at the ends of their videos. Sky lampshades this a lot.
Mithzan (Max)
One of Adam's editors who works at their office and is also a recurring character in their videos.
- Berserk Button: Always happens when he's being called Mad Max, sad Max, dad Max, a tad Max, etc.
- Other things that make him angry include puns, (especially ones that are repeated over and over again) comparing Rosalina from Mario to Elsa from Frozen, fanfics about him, and being the Butt Monkey.
- Butt-Monkey: Is frequently the butt of everyone's jokes and pranks at the office, which pisses him off to no end.
- Fiery Redhead: Has a huge temper that is easy to set off, such as when anyone calls him Mad Max, which usually makes him run over to Adam's office to beat them up on camera to get him or anyone to stop.
- Hetero Sexual Life Partners: With Ross, due to their shared love of anime.
- Screams Like a Little Girl: He does this a lot in Adam's videos, which makes him sound hilarious.
- This also happens often when he dies.
- Trademark Favorite Food: He really love corn dogs.
Villains
The Squid
Sky's archnemesis.
- Animal Nemesis: Sky hates this guy's guts.
- Attention Whore: He even yells to Sky to pay attention to him.
- Big Bad: The one who targets Sky every time he shows up and opposes his army.
- Catchphrase: "I'm a squid."
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He may just seem to be an annoying mob that really is useless, but make no mistake he has kidnapped Sky and taken him prisoner on more than one occasion, built a Butter-powered robot, and in When Squids Strike!, he managed to kidnap Dawn.
- Determinator: One of his incredibly few admirable traits is that despite all the crushing (and utterly humiliating) defeats over the years, he has never once considered giving up.
- Harmless Villain: Despite occasional Not-So-Harmless Villain moments, this guy is a joke. Even when he legitimately gains the upper hand he fails because of his own stupidity, idiotic planning and arrogance.
- It's Personal: Outright says this in regards to his vendetta against Sky in Cops and Robbers: The Squid Returns!
- I'm a Humanitarian : In the Anti-Plant Virus mod, he reveals to Sky that he eats sushi, or more specifically, calamari. Which is made of squids. And he liked it .
- Most Definitely Not a Villain: Tries this in the ZombieTech Mod Showcase. Unsurprisingly, it didn't work.
- Smug Squid: Suicidally overconfident, still comes back to harass Sky despite being defeated so many times and so effortlessly to the point of being pathetic, just to name a few reasons.....
- Too Dumb to Live: Despite occasional moments of intelligence, they're still very stupid. To the extent their plans have failed simply due to their own stupidity.
- Unexplained Recovery: Sky kills him in practically every one of his appearances, but he's alive again soon after, sometimes in the same episode.
