The Protagonists
Griffin Campbell

The eldest child of Ben and Sarah, he moves with his family to Sulphur Springs after his father decides to buy and reopen the old Tremont Hotel where he spent his childhood. At first Griffin is uninterested in his new town, until he meets Harper and together, they start getting invested in the mysteries involving the Tremont.- Aloof Big Brother: Griffin isn't particularly close to his younger siblings, though this has more to do with age difference than outright indifference. When he starts investigating the mysteries of Tremont Hotel, he doesn't bring them in even though they're both making investigations of their own (though theirs often leads to ludricous conclusions).
- From New York to Nowhere: Although Sulphur Springs isn't exactly nowhere, it's relatively small town especially compared to Chicago where Griffin and his family used to live. He's not to keen about moving there, at least until he starts investigating the mystery involving the Tremont hotel.
- Relationship Upgrade: By Season 2, he and Harper kiss and by the end of Season 3, they become an Official Couple.
Harper Dunn
Harper Dunn
Played by: Kyliegh Curran
A young resident of Sulhpur Springs who befriends Griffin on his first day in town. Together, they start investigating the mysteries involving the Tremont Hotel, including those involving her and Griffin's ancestors.- Big Sister Instinct: When she discovers that there's a bad future in which her brother Topher suffered a fall during an attack by the ghost and was left in a coma. Harper insists in doing whatever it takes to prevent that from happening.
- Contrived Coincidence: Harper befriended Griffin by sheer coincidence, unaware that their parents (namely Griffin's father and Harper's mother) were childhood friends when the Tremont was open in the 1990's but also but also their great-grandmothers got involved in covering a crime in the 1940's.
- Disappeared Dad: Her father died years earlier in a car accident.
- Identical Granddaughter: She looks exactly like her paternal great-grandmother Daisy Tremont, whom she meets when she and Griffin travel to the 1930's.
- Relationship Upgrade: By Season 2, she and Griffin kiss and by the end of Season 3, they become an Official Couple.

Griffin's father, he had the idea to buy the Tremont Hotel and restore it to reopen. He spent his childhood there in the 90's, and as it turns out, he met the mysterious Savannag, whose disappearance became a legend in Sulphur Springs.- Everyone Went to School Together: It turns out that he and Harper's mother Jess were childhood friends when they lived at the Tremont Hotel.
- Lies to Children: When asked by Griffin and Harper if he met Savannah, he says he didn't but they were childhood friends, and he blames himself for not being there when she disappeared.
- Supernatural-Proof Father: At first, he can't seem tonotice that there's something supernatural going on at the hotel, even when his own wife starts seeing and noticing something strange.
