     Xane Tachibana
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_73.png
Silver Reaper
Illustrated by: Soramani Kagome-Kagome
Xane Tachibana is nothing more than a villager. He was born and raised in the Village of Elm all his life, until the fateful event of the Incident of Gingalain occured, and wiped out his entire village. He was the only survivor of the chaos, and met Sempronia Quentin later on, as he journeyed with her to find the source of the chaos.

Tropes that describe Xane are:

  • Badass Adorable
  • Badass Boast: He delivers one to Kay, at the beginning of the game.
  • Badass Normal: Compared to a Temple Maiden, a Amnesiac Stratigest and the Daughter of the Big Bad, Xane is pretty normal.
  • Big Good: To Siegfried's Big Bad.
  • Bullying a Dragon: He does this to Claus, before both Shefa and Claus kick the absolute shit out of the party.
  • Butt-Monkey: To Alex.
  • Evil Counterpart: Revealed in the newest patch through looking through the files, he has a counterpart named Xane Alter.
  • Expy: Xane is a Tiz Arrior, but with a spear.
    • If he were female, he'd be a pretty great Saber as well.
  • Foil: Xane is a Foil to Siegfried. As the plot progresses, Xane becomes a hero that saves all through just and right means. Siegfried wants end the worlds suffering, and wants to become a hero that saves all.
  • Game-Breaker: Using For Someone's Glory and then waiting to use Zero Storm usually deals more or around Three-Thousand Damage, depending on the level you're at.
  • Glass Cannon: His Character Alignment Neutral Good increases his Luck.. But his defense is pitiful because of it. His attack is very high though.
  • The Hero
  • Idiot Hero: Averted. He may be unaware of things outside his surroundings, but he's not dumb.
  • Leitmotif: Theme of Shikanosuke Yamanaka.
  • Limit Break: Zero Storm ~ One Thousand Lances
  • Neutral Good: In-Universe Alignment.
  • One-Man Army: This at the beginning of the game.
  • Red Baron: Silver Reaper.

     Sempronia Quentin
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_52.png
Winged Angel
Illustrated by: Soramani Kagome-Kagome
A "medium" is someone who can talk to the Gods, or a figurehead of them. Sempronia is the Goddess of the Spirit Temple, though her title does not mean she's an actual Goddess. Before meeting Xane, she traveled with Alex, her guardian and servant to her. Originally, she came from Quartz to investigate the Gingalain Incident, and to see if the Sacred Treasure, the Time Gear of Gingalain, was safe. She meets Xane and Miyasaki afterwards, and treats them like family. Kind and trusting, she's is beloved by any who come in contact with her.

Tropes that describe Sempronia are:

  • A God I Am Not: As Sempronia explains, "Goddesses" are merely humans that channel Mystic Energy through them.
  • Berserk Button: When someone doesn't see her as capable of any task, she gets mad. This is seen before fighting Anna.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Her attack stat is high for a support unit.
  • Cute Bruiser: See Beware the Nice Ones.
  • Damsel in Distress: She becomes one when being hunted by Kay and co. Luckily, Xane saves her.
  • The Dragon: To Xane.
  • Expy: To Angés Oblige.
    • To Michaiah from Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn as well.
  • Fanservice: Her original design had large breasts. Now, her shoulders are completely exposed.
  • Foil: To Lucretia, and to a smaller extent, Anna. Lucretia and Sempronia have a Blue Oni, Red Oni thing going on between the two, while Anna and Sempronia are closer to divinity in their parties, but their goals are different. Sempronia wants to get all the Time Gears to save the world, Anna wants to destroy them to save the world.
  • Game-Breaker: Claw Dance.
  • Girly Girl
  • Lawful Good: In-Universe Alignment.
  • Leitmotif: Id~Hope.
  • Limit Break: Claw Storm ~ One Thousand Slashes
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Averted, and twisted. The Empire puts the Gingalain Incident on the shoulders of the Goddesses, which is why Sempronia is on the constant move. However, the Gingalain Incident was not caused by her, which is why it's an Averted trope.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: She pulls this with Alex with the Spicy Food Incident.
  • Plot Device: Not Sempronia herself, but the abilities she has. Her abilities to awaken crystals is a plot device.

     Miyasaki Yoritoki
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/image_34.png
Wandering Tactician
Illustrated by: Soramani Kagome-Kagome
A young man with no recollection of his memories. Finding himself in Ruby with a splitting headache, he travels to Gingalain, seeing if he can figure out his identity from investigation. When Xane and Sempronia arrive in Gingalain, he is intrigued by their actions, and follows them, before making himself known and joining their ranks. Throughout the story, Miyasaki can be seen as a strategist to Sempronia and Xane, as well as a deadpan snarker to others. Planning, and generally a nice person to be around.

Tropes that describe Miyasaki are:

  • Anti-Hero
  • Badass Bookworm: Magic Wielding Strategist, what else do you need?
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Does this in Camelot.
  • Co-Dragons: With Lucretia.
  • Combat Pragmatist: A meta example, but he as a passive skill gains the ability to regenerate his magic gauge(ie: 10%), meaning he'll never run out of magic. Also, he knows the most magic skills out of the five. Another example is that he uses a Feather Fan(though averted when he uses his Special Weapon: Mikazuki Munechika)
  • The Cynic
  • Dark Is Not Evil: He might look and sometimes act like a Deadpan Snarker, but he's far from villain status.
  • Deadpan Snarker: All the time.
  • The Evil Prince: Implied to be one by Mordred before he lost his memory.
  • Expy: Of Ringabel from Bravely Default
  • Foil: To Kazami Decim. Kazami and Miyasaki are both True Neutral allies, but while Kazami's loyalties are to the restoration of humanity and destruction of the Time Gears, Miyasaki follows Sempronia without any complaint. Kazami's True Neutral is closer to the actual True Neutral than Miyasaki's, due to his alignment to the Federation being restoration of the natural order being his goal. Miyasaki's is closer to Lawful Neutral, but due to his loner status, is True Neutral.
  • Game-Breaker: His Magic Attack stat is the highest out of all the characters, meaning he can be Offensive or Supportive. Other than being slow, he can heal and deal damage to enemies not resistant against Dark and Holy Magic. Downside is that he's a Glass Cannon with his defenses, and won't survive long without backup.
  • Glass Cannon: See Game-Breaker above.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He can be this.
  • Leitmotif: Large Feather.
  • Limit Break: Unholy Nether.
  • Obviously Evil: Averted.
  • Power Trio: At the beginning of the game, with Sempronia and Xane. Now with Lucretia and Tamayo.
  • Red Baron: The Wandering Strategist. Or, the Crystal Strategist post Chapter 3.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: With his sister, Mordred Rhasphody/Tamaki Yoritoki, the Red Oni and him, the Blue Oni.
  • Ship Tease: With Tamayo Fuuma. He even chooses her over the other three in his and Tamayo's segment in Camelot.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: With Tamaki Yoritoki.
  • True Neutral: In-Universe Alignment.
  • Tsundere: Type A, towards Tamayo.

     Lucretia Pluto
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucertia_pluto.png
Elegant Princess
Illustrated by: Soramani Kagome-Kagome
Lucretia Pluto was a retainer to King Bors the II, and served under him until she was swayed by Sempronia to switch sides. However, it's revealed that she is the Princess of Eternia, and the daughter of Siegfried Pluto. However, what sways her is the fact that she's heard and seen Siegfried's actions, and they don't match up. So now, she aims to figure out what her father's goal is, even if it means she has to stop him.

Tropes that describe Lucretia are:

  • Action Girl: It runs in her family.
  • Co-Dragons: With Miyasaki.
  • Despair Event Horizon: When she has to fight Siegfried in Chapter 4. Averted in Chapter Final, where she has to fight both of her parents where she knows it has to be done.
  • Disappeared Dad: Averted.
  • Expy: To Edea Lee from Bravely Default.
  • Fanservice: Her chest is the second biggest of the cast, Tamayo the largest.
  • Foil: To Shefa Kanzaki. Lucretia has had everything since the beginning, and was trainined to be a proper mage, as well as being a Princess of a well endowed country, but Shefa died, and before that, was poor and had no money, and had to work hard for her earnings as a human. When she died, it drove her insane due to that part of her life and now she hates Lucretia for her betrayal, due to her turning back on someone who raised her.
  • Flaming Sword: Her signature weapon, Excalibur Galatine.
  • Game-Breaker: Lawful Neutral and a 25% magic evasion allow her to be this, as she can last against Magic Attacks the longest out of every character. However, she can't take Physical attacks that well. This is balanced with her signature weapon, Excalibur Galatine, where she can burn opponents easily.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She plays this trope.
  • Heel–Face Turn: In Chapter 2, after seeing how corrupt Siegfried's officers are.
  • I Am Not My Father: She says this multiple times throughout, and even says it to Siegfried directly.
  • Lawful Neutral: In-Universe Alignment.
  • Leitmotif: You of the Dark.
  • Limit Break: Mystic Spell.
