Player Characters
Vitius Dragomir
Player: ZAVA Zggg
A former town guard turned vampire, sentenced to join the hoods after his transformation.
Tropes:
- City Guards: Was one of these before being sentenced to join the Red Hoods
- Friendly Neighbourhood Vampires: Puts up with all the Fantastic Racism that gets thrown his way, and hasn't murdered anyone yet.
- Vegetarian Vampire: Can technically survive off animal blood alone.
- Weakened by the Light: Has to cover his skin when outside to avoid burning to a crisp.
- Stages of Monster Grief: Is not particularly pleased with his newfound vampirism.
Eliza Chase
Player: Ms.Morningstar
A magic user proficient in the use of charms and elemental magic, she came into her powers later in life, and joined the Red Hoods after training with her somewhat eccentric mentor, Ethaniel Whitwing.
Tropes:
- Ritual Magic: Uses bottled spells, charms, and clay sculptures to fight, all of which must be prepared in advance.
- Glass Cannon: Can do a lot of damage with her elemental spell bottles, but isn't too good in a close-up fight
- Squishy Wizard
- Long-Range Fighter
- Parental Incest: Of the Abusive Parents variety, and hinted at as being the reason for her being a recovering alcoholic.
- Recovered Addict: Has been on the wagon ever since meeting her mentor, Ethaniel, although in the non-cannon she did fall Off the Wagon at one point
- Beware the Nice Ones: Is one of the least openly aggressive initiates, but that doesn't stop her crushing the trial beast to death under a ton of rock.
- Abusive Parents: She was molestedby her father from the age of 8.
- Noble Bigot Worships the goddess, and as such, is prone to Fantastic Racism based off her religous beliefs.
Loona Celestina
Player: Tenma Tendo
A sweet, somewhat shy fairy who volunteered to join the hoods.
Tropes:
- Break the Cutie: Happens within minutes of being exposed to Colin and Kiri in the same room as each other, to the point where she ends up Hulking Out
Colin Rivington
Player: Northern Kraken
A human archer who volunteered to join the hoods. He is [[Agressive Categorism: not fond of vampires.]]
Tropes:
- Bullying a Dragon: His interactions with Vitius thus far have been somewhat... antagonistic, despite the fact that Vitius could probably rip his head off if he wanted to.
- Bow and Sword in Accord: His weapons of choice are a bow, as well as a pair of twin daggers he saves for when he is forced to fight at close range.
- Long-Range Fighter: Whilst he can more or less hold his own in close quarters, he much prefers to shoot at enemies from afar.
- Red Oni: To Kiri's blue
- Jerkass: His Establishing Character Moment involves pointing his bow at Vitius, and he goes on to start trouble with just about everyone he interacts with.
- Tragic Bigot: It's revealed early on that he's had some pretty nasty experiences with vampires, and as such vacillates between being absolutely terrified of them, and wanting to fight them, more often than not at the same time.
- Trauma Button: A few, and to varying degrees. Namely vampires, unexpected touch, fire, tight spaces, and being locked in places
- What Measure Is a Non-Human?: He has a tendency to see vampires as Always Chaotic Evil, beyond that, things get a little muddled.
- Book Dumb: Is functionally illiterate, primarily due to not having access to any kind of formal education.
- Cowardly Lion: Is scared of... a lot, but will still usually come through in the end with sufficient motivation.
Bartholomew Whitlock
Player: Argetlam
Nyssa Devout
Player: Damo 021
A rare dhampir who volunteered to join the hoods.
Tropes:
- Ambiguously Human: As a dhampir, Nyssa lacks a lot of the trademark features that mark someone as a full blooded vampire, leaving the other initiates to draw their own (differing) conclusions.
- Dhampyr: As a Dhampyr, Nyssa has greater strength than a human's when not in sunlight,
Brighid O'Shay
Player: Almalthia
A magic user and werewolf, sentenced to join the hoods.
Tropes:
- Establishing Character Moment: Releasing the sentenced recruits from their shackles using magic.
- White Mage: Is a white healer, and heals injuries by taking the pain of them onto herself.
- Squishy Wizard: Averted, she is actually quite physically strong despite being a magic user, due to her status as a werewolf.
- Dark and Troubled Past: According to Eliza, she disappeared one day, and popped up several months later with a werewolf bite and a dead brother, and that's not even taking into account the implied Training from Hell she underwent to become a White Healer.
- Badass Bookworm: Is well-versed in all things magical, but also has werewolf-related super strength.
- Combat Medic
- Parental Abandonment: It's implied that she was at least partially raised by her brother, Declan.
- Find the Cure!: No spellcasters before her have survived their first werewolf transformation, suffice to say, she's eager to figure this out.
- Tomboy: Has shades of this, as she likes to wear more masculine clothes, and has been shown to not be a fan of dresses.
- Fiery Redhead: Has red hair, and is not afraid to stand up for herself.
Kiri Hae
Player: c3p-0h
The human daughter of Qiran nobility who volunteered to join the hoods after her uncle's death.
Tropes:
- Does Not Like Magic
- Action Girl
- Determinator
- Badass Family: The Haes are this, or at least, her cousin and uncle when he was alive.
- Blue Oni: To Colin's red
- The Quiet One
- The Stoic
- Sheltered Aristocrat: Downplayed, whilst the Haes are a noble family, Kiri was still trained in badass-ery by her uncle.
- Beware the Quiet Ones
- Hidden Depths: Likes to fight stuff and go to bookshops.
Ryder Shaw
Player: Red VII
A fully qualified Red Hood, assigned to supervise the group of new initiates alongside Finlay after sneaking away to kill the wendigo on his own.
Tropes:
- Crusading Widower: The first thing he does upon gaining his red hood is go and kill the wendigo in revenge for it killing his wife.
- Drowning My Sorrows: What he does after the trials and being assigned to the new group of initiates.
- Revenge Before Reason: What Blanchette Rouge accuses him of.
NPCs
Commander Blanchette Rouge
Zeke
Tropes:
Captain Anthony Jericho
Tropes:
- Out of Focus: In comparison to the commander and Zeke, has only appeared once so far.
Finlay Dougal
- A Father to His Men: Despite his tough love attitude and frequent Cluster F Bombs, he actually genuinely seems to care about the initiates (although that may be because their success reflects back on him)
