Dinky Doo family
Pinky Dinky Doo
- Voiced by: India Ennenga
An imaginative storyteller who uses her made-up tales to help people with their problems.
- Cool Big Sis: Pinky acts as a role model to Tyler most of the time, teaching him lessons through her imaginative storytelling in every episode.
- Interactive Narrator: She talks to the viewer at least twice each episode, and usually asks the audience to join in whatever she's doing.
- Ironic Name: She does not like the color pink, despite her name and her hair color.
- Meaningful Name: Her hair is pink, and her name is Pinky. However, she does not like pink.
- Ms. Imagination: Pinky, who loves making up wacky stories. Her stories always have the solution to the episode's main problem.
- Out of Focus: In several episodes, especially in season one, Tyler and Mr. Guinea Pig get a central focus in the stories and even "think big" instead of Pinky.note
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The Tomboy to Daffinee's girly girl. Pinky doesn't have much feminine qualities and is pretty gender-neutral in terms of her interests, though she does have some idiosyncrasies which typical girls would frown upon, like wearing salami on her feet to compensate for her lost shoes. Daffinee though is a Girly Girl and Rich Bitch who's extremely into fashion shows and dress-up.
Tyler Dinky Doo
- Voiced by: Felix Chrome (Season 1), Allison Wachtfogel (Season 2)
- Disproportionate Retribution: In "Stinky Pinky Doo", Tyler tries to flush an unseen character named Johnny's favorite cap down the toilet after the latter called his socks stinky.
- Just One More Level!: In one episode, he gets addicted to a video game. The vocab word in that episode was "engrossed".
- Pink Girl, Blue Boy: He has blue hair, and Pinky has pink hair.
- Vocal Evolution: His voice is much louder in the second season, due to a change in voice actors.
Mr. Guinea Pig
- Voiced by: Juan van Michaelangelo (Season 1), John Rogers (Season 2)
- Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: A blue guinea pig with a bright pink nose.
- Hidden Depths: In Pinky's stories, he is a wealthy art collector, astronaut, and whatever else Pinky can imagine.
- Team Pet: The only animal of the main cast.

Pinky's best friend who likes to do everything in weird ways.
- Amazing Technicolor Population: Has yellow skin.
Bobby Boom
The smartest kid in Pinky's school, who uses a wheelchair.
- Black and Nerdy
- Super-Powered Alter Ego: His superhero identity is Boom Sonic Boom.
- Vocal Evolution: In season two, his voice is calmer and much deeper.
Daffinee Toilette
A covetous, sometimes selfish rich girl who is Pinky's frenemy.
- Bilingual Bonus: Her last name is the French word for "toilet".
- Catchphrase: "Honestly!", which she always says in a disgusted tone whenever something goes wrong.
- Cute, but Cacophonic: In "Tipsy Topsy", she is portrayed as a princess who is much smaller in height than she normally is, but her voice is so loud it can shake up an entire room. Fortunately, she learned to control the volume of her voice by the end of the story.
- Non-Standard Character Design: Has eyelashes and actual whites in her eyes, unlike most of the cast who have simple dot eyes.
- Portmanteau: Her name is a play on the word "daffy" (a word that means crazy or foolish) and the name "Daphne".
- Shoe Size Angst: She suffers this in the "Balloony Feet" story when the eponymous made-up condition (in which her feet get bigger everytime she gets excited) causes her to outgrow new shoes everytime, putting her in jeopardy for the upcoming fashion show.
- Valley Girl: Often speaks with a Girly Girl gossipy voice.
