Claire Valliere

Player: Umbraflamma

Arcanum: XV - The Devil

The rather short, genius heiress of the French Valliere company who has come to Madasui to manage the local branch, Claire is one example of the city's rather diverse populace. She has inherited all of the arrogance and presumed authority of her family's high status, but also is rather effective as a leader.

Claire's Persona is Blackguard, a dark knight who swore herself to Asmodeus.

Tropes:

  • Brutal Honesty: Claire sees very little reason to lie, especially when someone else has failed due to incompetence.
  • Big Eater: Were it not for her interest in and engagement with sports, Claire would likely succumb swiftly to the perils of eating too much.
  • Pride: Claire assumes that she is the most important person in the room at any given time, and expects her commands to be carried out by anyone she deems her inferior. Coupled with her loathing for manual labor, this makes her into something of a Spoiled Brat.
  • The Perfectionist: Claire insists on excellence in all things, from both herself and those around her. Unfortunately, some do not have the extensive training that she does...
  • Teen Genius: Well, preteen, technically, as she completed her education when she was but twelve. She's no longer a teen, but likely was at some point between her completion of education and her arrival in Madasui.

Rei Nakura

Player: Cipher

Arcanum: XVIII - The Inverse Moon

Rei is Kumi's twin brother and another member of the Nakura family. He works as a pharmacist, somewhat ironically given his own affliction - tuberculosis. Unlike his sister, he is socially withdrawn and emotionally distant; like her, he is incredibly proud.

Rei's Persona is Sugawara no Michizane, a Heian scholar and official who became posthumously known as Tenjin, who was originally a god of storms and natural disasters, but has become far better known as a deity of scholarship.

Tropes:

Runako Nakura

Player: Cipher

Arcanum: V - The Inverse Hierophant

Rei's and Kumi's mother and the workaholic head of Nakura Pharma. Like her children, Runako has certain mental difficulties of her own. Distant even when she tries to be friendly, Runako does not like to redo or repeat her efforts.

Runako's Persona is Homunculus, an artificial humaniod.
