    Etania
A priestess of Lamashtu and the mother of one of her monstrous children.

    Lamashtu's Child
One of Lamashtu's children, "gifted" to Etania for her dedication.
  • Combat Tentacles: A whole mess of them.
  • Fusion Dance: It consumes its mortal mother and allows her consciousness to control its body.
  • Healing Factor: It can heal most wounds in seconds, though a sword directly through several vital organs is too much for it.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: Part of its birth ritual was feeding it the souls of Etania's goblin cultists.

Of Tooth and Claw

    Thelsikar
A cultist of Lamashtu and a talented alchemist.

    Black Fang
A young black dragon that chose Sandpoint as his hunting ground.

City of Secrets

    Lady Heidmarch

Lady Shelia Heidmarch

The venture-captain of the pathfinders in Magnimar.

    Kasadei
A member of Magnimar's city guard investigating a series of killings.

    Zadendi
A serial killer targeting Sarenite priests.

  • Back Stab: She prefers to fight from the shadows, using a Silence spell to sneak up on the opposition.
  • Fallen Hero: She was once a cleric of Sarenrae herself before Avalexi corrupted her.
  • More than Mind Control: Avalexi started out using Dominate Person spells to enthrall her, but now Zadendi is fully loyal to the succubus.
  • Serial Killer: One that targets priests of Sarenrae most of all.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Avalexi. It ends badly for her.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: She is killed by Avalexi in order to use her heart in an evil ritual.

    Avalexi
A succubus who serves the demon lord Shax.

  • Bad Boss: She betrays and kills Zadendi, who was wholly loyal to her, just because it was slightly convenient.
  • The Dragon: She's Thulgroon's most prominent agent.
  • Smug Snake: Like most demons, she looks down on mortals and assumes that their efforts against her are doomed to failure. Kyra proves her wrong.
  • Villainous Breakdown: She doesn't take it well when the heroes turn the tables on her.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: We are not shown what happens to her after she's forced to retreat. It's implied that she was killed by Thulgroon for her failure.

    Thulgroon
A veiled master with plans to destabilize and seize control of Magnimar.

  • Arc Villain: The main villain of City of Secrets.
  • The Chessmaster: Thulgroon is a brilliant schemer who controls numerous pawns throughout Magnimar and always seems to be one step ahead of the competition.
  • Graceful Loser: Takes the failure of his plan in stride, well aware that he still has many resources and backup plans.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: When the heroes finally reach him, he admits a temporary defeat, then runs away, taunting them about the inevitability of the veiled masters' success.

Origins

    Veltus

Veltus Vesk

A caravan leader from Cheliax whose cargo keeps attracting trouble.

    Zemora
A sorcerer hired by Veltus to protect his cargo.

    Drogon's Dozen
A group of mercenaries hired by Veltus.

    Sycorius
A powerful demon sealed within a stone idol.

    Vint

Vint Hassir

A ratfolk whose village was attacked by bloodsucking monsters.
  • Action Survivor: Not much of a fighter, but still willing to do what it takes to save his village.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Not really his fault, but he told Kyra and Seelah that his village had been attacked by vampires, when they were actually chupacabras. Which made their preparations useless.

    Milos and Asad
Criminals offered an out from the noose by helping save Hassir's village.
  • Boxed Crook: They were due for the gallows until Seelah offered them another chance.
  • Fat and Skinny: Milos is the skinny one while Asad is the fat one.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Unlike Asad, Milos seems genuinely regretful for the murder he committed, and it's heavily implied he had done it in a moment of panic rather than out of malice.
  • Redemption Equals Death: Milos is killed by the chupacabras while saving Kyra's life.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: As soon as things start to go south, Asad tries to bail out. The chupacabras still get him and tear him apart.

    Mercival Jeggare
Head curator of the Jeggare Museum.

    Delghad and Lavaul
Hellknights of the Order of the Nail, hired to protect the Jeggare Museum.
  • All Crimes Are Equal: They don't believe in shades of mayhem, only in order and anarchy. Par the course for the Order of the Nail.

    Lord Corvelis' Head of Security
A worshipper of Zon-Kuthon who commands the guards and servants of Lord Corvelis' mansion.

    Shalelu
An elven adventurer hired by Sandpoint to investigate an upswing in fey activity.

    Grustmier
The leader of a group of redcaps in Tickwood.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: As with all redcaps, his strength comes from his blood-dyed hat. When it gets shot off his head, he panics and orders a retreat.

    Akoni
A dryad who serves as the de facto leader of the fey in Tickwood.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: Is furious over Ovana being 'kidnapped'. The issue is that she is already dead, and her family simply wanted the body buried in what they view as a proper funeral. To Akoni, there is little difference between a living mortal and a dead one, and he wants her back so that she can become one with the forest.

    Ovana

Ovana Scarnetti

A resident of Sandpoint and Akoni's longtime friend.

    Truan
Ezran's younger brother who took over their father's business after he was arrested for treason.

Hollow Mountain

    The Castellan
A kalavakus demon left behind by the runelord of wrath to guard her fortress.

    Gregan
A pathfinder sent to explore Hollow Mountain.

    Blood King
The leader of the sinspawn within the Hollow Mountain.

    Sinspawn Executioner
A sinspawn who serves as the Blood king's executioner and the strongest warrior of the sinspawn.
  • Blood Knight: It would rather die in battle than live without conflict.
  • Combat Pragmatist: When fighting the Castellan, it lets its allies distract him before sneaking around to stab him in the back. It doesn't help him.
  • Covered with Scars: It has scars on every visible body part.
  • The Dragon: To the Blood King.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: At, and on, the claws of the Castellan.
  • Mauve Shirt: It's the most prominent of the sinspawn, but really just there to die for the protagonists.
  • We Have Reserves: Its response to the sinspawn being used as cannon fodder against the traps of Hollow Mountain.

Runescars

    Tiro
Seoni's brother.

    Signifer Lazku
A hellknight and Varisian sorceress.
  • Arc Villain: The main antagonist of Runescars.
  • Broken Bird: The wrongs she has suffered have done a number on her personality.
  • Child Mage: Her sorcerous powers began to manifest when she was just 12.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Her clan betrayed her family and left her for dead, so now, in her mind, all Varisian clans must pay.
  • Freudian Excuse: Her mother was murdered by envious rivals, and she was framed for the crime. After she killed several of her accusers, she was subdued and left behind to die, but she survived and now wants to destroy all Varisian clans in revenge.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: Merisiel calls her out on her insane reasoning, pointing out that it was only a clan that betrayed her, not an entire culture.
  • Revenge Before Reason: See Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse above. She had already killed those responsible for her misfortune. At this point, she's just venting her rage on innocent people.
  • Serial Killer: Subverted. She does have a practical reason for killing Varisian sorcerers and taking their tattoos. Of course, her endgame isn't exactly sane, either...

    Tanin
A member of the Grey Maidens of Korvosa and Quinn's partner for the investigation of the Varisian murders.
  • Action Girl: As a female member of the Grey Maidens of Korvosa, she's a seasoned warrior.
  • Birds of a Feather: With Valeros. Which is why her death hits him particularly hard.
  • The Bus Came Back: She appears again in Spiral Of Bones, as a soul awaiting judgement in the Boneyard, and tries to help Valeros clear up his identity with Yindaal.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Usually at Valeros' expense.
  • Fiery Redhead: A strong and combative woman with a long mane of brilliant red hair.
  • Sacrificial Lion: She gets a fair amount of characterization and chances to show her skills before she's murdered by Lictor Diviri.

    The Gutter king
An otyugh living in Korvosa's sewers.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Gets distracted in a fight by Kyra's shiny holy symbol.
  • Heel–Faith Turn: Thanks to Kyra introducing him to the faith of Sarenrae. Granted, he was never really a Heel in the first place.
  • Malaproper: Several of its words sound hilariously wrong. Then again, it's justified in that the average otyugh has an Intelligence of just 5.
  • Non-Malicious Monster: It looks monstrous, but is actually not evil, just trying to survive.

    Lictor Diviri
A Hellknight commander of the Order of the Nail.

  • Evil Old Folks: He's certainly evil, and he doesn't exactly look young either.
  • Faux Affably Evil: A black-hearted villain who nonetheless acts in a very couth and erudite manner.
  • Karma Houdini: The closest thing he gets to a comeuppance is being forced to give up the Runescar Stylus, and being denied an excuse to kill Valeros.
  • Kick the Dog: Right after acquitting Seoni's group from the accusations of trespassing and theft, he executes Tanin on a technicality. After that, he never misses a chance to taunt Valeros about it.
  • Lack of Empathy: Hellknight law doesn't say one should feel something as trivial as that.
  • Obstructive Bureaucrat: Constantly using loopholes and byzantine laws to have his way and trip up the heroes.
  • Old Soldier: Despite his age, Diviri knows his way in a fight and is in great physical conditions.
  • Red Right Hand: Though it's kept hidden beneath a gauntlet during his appearance in the comic, one of his hands was stripped of its flesh by a curse.
  • Smug Smiler: A more subdued example than most, but still present. He gets a full-on Slasher Smile when he kills Tanin.
  • Sore Loser: Downplayed. While he still carries himself with grace and poise, he can barely hide his resentment when Seoni's group wins their Trial by Combat, and when Quinn forces him to give up the Runescar Stylus.
  • Strike Me Down with All of Your Hatred!: Invoked. He tries to enrage Valeros into attacking him by taunting him about Tanin's death. If attacked, Diviri would have been within his right to defend himself with lethal force against Valeros and his companions, and he could have recovered the Runescar Stylus from their bodies. Thankfully, Valeros doesn't fall for it.

    Astera and Aurochs
Shoanti imprisoned by the Order of the Nail.

Worldscape

    Empress Camila
The queen of an forgotten African tribe that ended up trapped in the Worldscape. She rose up to become the demiplane's ruler after taking the crown and the scepter.
  • Big Bad: In Pathfinder: Worldscape Vol. 1, she is the leader of the evil party and the titular demiplane's tyrant.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: She is killed just before the climax in Volume 1 and while she gets revived later, she is no longer evil and is replaced by other villains.
  • Immortal Ruler: According to Hebert West, she is over 600 years old. Its unclear if she is naturally this way or because the Worldscape.
  • Public Domain Character: She is an obscure villain from the Golden Age of Comics.

    Kulan Gath
An Hyborian sorcerer that frequently tangled with Red Sonja in her adventures.
  • Big Bad: Shares this role with Camilla in Volume 1.Ultimately he proves to be the bigger threat.
  • Court Mage: Serves this role in Shareen's court as the only sanctioned magic-user around.
  • Evil Sorcerer: Per the course for any sorcerer in the Hyborian Age.
  • Joker Immunity: He has been killed and returned so many times that Sonja expresses annoyance at seeing his face constantly. Even when he is facing his last stand, he boasts that he can never be killed permanently. And he is set to be revived soon since Phaidor recovered one of his fingers and forces West to resurrect him so she can be of use to him.
  • Multiversal Conqueror: His end goal is to reunite the Crown and the Scepter to become all powerful and conquer all possible worlds.
  • No Kill like Overkill: He is stabbed, shot and vaporized by a Physical Goddess just to make sure he doesn't come back.
  • Rogues' Gallery Transplant: Even though he is Sonja's Arch-Enemy, he was originally a Conan villain and has also fought against heroes from other comic book companies.

    Holy Hekkador Phaidor
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rco017_6.jpg

The Holy Hekkador of the Holy Therns that rose to power following her father's dead, she was the one that converted Camilla to the Cult of Issus and made it the state religion in Shareen.

  • Adaptational Modesty: In Warlord of Mars, she wore nothing more than jewelry. Her Worldscape counterpart is far modestly dressed.
  • Adaptational Villainy: This Phaidor is even more ruthless and cruel than the one from the source material and the comics.
  • Alternate Self: This Phaidor was born and raised in the Worldscape unlike the ones from Barsoom.
  • Dragon Ascendant: She takes over Shareen after Camilla is overthrown in Volume 3.
  • A Nazi by Any Other Name: Phaidor belongs to an race that considers themselves superior to everyone else whether in Mars or the Worldscape. She fits this trope even more due to donning an Nazi-like outfit rather than the Diamonds in the Buff look and she also has blonde hair and eyes.
  • High Priestess: To the Cult of Issus.
  • Human Aliens: Phaidor is an White Martian, an very human-like race. Even compared to other members of her race who are bone-white pale, she looks indistinguishable from say, an Scandinavian woman.
  • Love Is a Weakness: Feels this in regards to the other Phaidor who was Driven to Suicide out of love for John Carter. As well as to Camilla, after she returns softer and kinder after being revived.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Even though she is established as the White Martians' Holy Hekkador and the one responsible for turning Shareen into The Theocracy by making the Cult of Issus into its state religion, Phaidor isn't even mentioned or alluded to in Volume 1.
  • Sensible Heroes, Skimpy Villains: Inverted. Unlike Vampirella, Dejah and Red Sonja who are all scantily-clad, she wears an obscuring outfit. This also extends to her Alternate Self, since she is more heroic there and is almost completely nude there.

Spiral of Bones

    Zeladar the Animator
An ancient Thassilonian wizard whose soul is at the center of a large courtroom dispute in the Boneyard.

  • Arc Villain: The main antagonist of Spiral of Bones.
  • The Archmage: As an ancient regent of Thassilon, his magical prowess is second only to the Runelords themselves.
  • Deal with the Devil: Made a contract with Hell in exchange for power. Unlike most who do the same, once he had power he spent the rest of his mortal lifespan improving the lives of those under his rule.
  • Easily Forgiven: Downplayed. Valeros doesn't exactly forgive him for his actions, but he does ask Wini and Yindaal not to be too harsh on him, since he understands that Zeladar was mostly motivated by fear rather than greed or malice.
  • Grand Theft Me: His soul involuntarily possesses Valeros when he picks up the soul gem it was stored in from a dungeon room.
  • It's All About Me: Zeladar is a profoundly egotistical man, and his empathy towards Valeros was mostly due to the fact that Zeladar saw the swordsman as a kindred spirit of sorts. Even his stated goal of making Varisia a better place has a definite "only I can save these people from themselves" vibe to it.
  • Soul Jar: Trapped his own soul inside a gem before he died as a way of circumventing the contract he made with Hell.
  • Talking Is a Free Action: Subverted. Valeros punches him in the face while Zeladar is gloating about his greater skills in manipulating his mental world.

    Yindaal
The judge presiding the trial for the final destination of Zeladar's soul.

  • Not So Above It All: She is seen enjoying Valeros' tales during a pause in the trial.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: She resembles a dragon covered in black feathers, with a bird's talons and a snarling mask covering her face.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Yindaal is a strict but fair judge of the dead. She is also willing to accept that she has made a mistake, and take the necessary measures to remedy it.

    Kyron
A marut inevitable sent by Axis to claim Zeladar's soul for his infringiment of the laws of life and death.

  • "Ass" in Ambassador: He gets to the Graveyard and begins acting as if he owned the place, assaulting Wini when she tries to defend Valeros, and even attempting to subvert Yindaal's authority. Yindaal harshly calls him out on it.
  • Shock and Awe: Like all maruts, Kyron can surround his fists in a crackling electrical aura. Valeros gets to experience this firsthand.

    Wini
A nosoi psycopomp guiding Valeros through the Boneyard's bureaucracy.]]

  • Clever Crows: She takes the form of a crow and is quite smart and authoritative.
  • Nice Girl: Though she may be overcritical at times, Wini is nothing but helpful to Valeros, trying to make sure he gets a fair trial - even as she still believes him to be Zeladar.
  • Polly Wants a Microphone: Again, a sentient, talking crow.
