  • Family Honor: Family always comes first, in his mind, thus his plot to take down the Elizondos after his sister's suicide.
  • Family Man: He is a textbook example. A traditional, hardworking, loyal man who always puts his family first, even when they dissapoint him.
  • Honor Before Reason: A very proud and traditional man, he refuses to ask for help or even accept someone else's money even when he is in dire need of it.

  • My Greatest Failure: Libia's suicide, as he blames himself for it.

  • Because You Were Niceto Me: He always makes it up to the people who once helped him: He gives Leandro a huge amount of money for his business because he gave Oscar a job when he was broke, offers Manolo and Miguel a standing job offer because they were his witnesses during his wedding ceremony and invites Ruth to stay with him and his family if she ever needed it.
