The Isle of Scaly
Home of the dragons. General
- Our Dragons Are Different: They (save Spike) have Cutie Mark-like patterns on their thighs like ponies, and their fire each has different kinds of magic which was previously unique to Spike. Their magic is what makes their scales shimmer, which is lost when Opaline starts stealing their magic through the Dragonstone.
Spike
Voiced by: Martin Roach
Former compatriot of the original Mane Six, Spike has since ascended to the leader of the dragons.
- Continuity Nod: Spike being the Dragon Lord calls back to how he briefly held the title in Friendship is Magic before quickly passing it on to his friend Ember.
- The Gadfly: Age has not diminished his playful wit; when Sunny asks if she can call him by name, he replies, "It would be weird if you called me Fred or something, because that's not my name!"
- Kid Hero All Grown-Up: The baby dragon companion of Twilight Sparkle and her friends is all grown-up now and is the Dragon Lord.
- Large and in Charge: He's not just the leader of the dragons, but also the largest among them.
- Living Legend: He's the reigning Dragon Lord and is known to Sunny as part of the original group that pioneered friendship throughout Ancient Equestria with Twilight.
- Mythology Gag: His waking up after hundreds of moons is similar to his G3 counterpart, who woke up after a thousand-year nap in Princess Promenade.
- Took a Level in Badass: Spike's magic fire breath has grown much stronger since his last appearance, allowing him to teleport things to and from wherever he wishes at will. With a single flame, he's able to teleport all Sunny's friends from three different locations.
Blaize Skysong
Debut: "Lavarynth"
Voiced by: Louisa Zhu
- All There in the Manual: Her last name was first revealed on a figure of her in the toyline.
- Armor-Piercing Question: She scoffs at the ponies idea of being able to come together to stop Opaline as being delusional, but she's quickly rebuked by her own kind as well after Fountain asks if it's better to abandon their friends to Opaline and letting her evil plan to take over Equestria and subjugate all of the ponies succeed. Blaize can only barely stutter out a response.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's cynical, rude, and dismissive of the ponies the second they arrive, even after the other dragons have been convinced that they're worthy of their trust to the point that it took her own leader telling her to stand down for her to finally do so. However, she also genuinely cares about her friends and mainly seemed to act this was out of a defensive mechanism, and after getting called out for her negative attitude by everyone, including her own leader, and seeing proof that they may have a chance against Opaline after all, she notably mellows out and becomes much more cooperative and friendly with the others.
- Shutting Up Now: She spends quite a bit of time trying to talk down to the ponies and makes it clear she doesn't trust them, but is put in her place pretty darn quickly once the current Dragon Lord confirms his connection to the ponies and tells her to stop being so judgmental of them with a single line.
Lava and Jade
Debut: "Nightmare on Mane Street" (vision)

- Adaptation Name Change: In the Tell Your Tale short "Nightmare Night Market", Lava is referred to as "Charcoal".
- Brainwashed and Crazy: Opaline takes control of their minds using the Dragonstone, making them her temporary minions.
Tumble
Debut: "Lavarynth"
Voiced by: Julius Cho
- Blow You Away: His magical fire allows him to control the wind.
- Only Sane Man: Compared to Blaize's blind suspicion and some of the other dragons quirky habits, Tumble is noticeably more down-to-earth and reasonable, explaining some of the Dragons' situation to the ponies and scolding Leaf for trying to eat their gifts for them.
Luxxe
- Cannot Keep a Secret: Blaize whispers for her and Leaf to stay behind and keep an eye on Misty, Izzy, and Pipp, but she immediately blurts out to them that they're "definitely not staying behind to keep an eye on them".
Leaf
- Eat Dirt, Cheap: As is normal for dragons; he immediately tries to eat the sparkly friendship bracelets that Izzy gifts him and the other dragons before being told off by Tumble.
Fountain
- Making a Splash: Her magical fire is said to control water.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Has an extreme hatred for dungeons due to dragons having a habit of being chained up in them and even experiencing it for herself.
Starlight Ridge
Auroricorns
Debut: Secrets of Starlight
A race of unicorns with the unique magical ability to affect and gain magical energy from the auroras of Starshine Ridge by feeling genuine joy and merriment.
- Color-Coded Wizardry: When they use their magic, both their horn and whatever they are manipulating light up with a swirling aurora.
- Emotional Powers: All of their magical abilities are fueled by their happiness and joy.
- Gem Tissue: Their horns, hooves and cutie marks are all crystalline.
- Suspiciously Similar Substitute: A subspecies of ponies that sport crystalline features, live in a supernatural and cold environment which also grants outsiders a marketable makeover that helps them fit in, can cause magical phenomena to occur when they feel strong positive emotions, and are in possession of a special magical artifact, sounds very similar to the Crystal Ponies in Friendship is Magic.
Violet Frost
Debut: Secrets of Starlight
Voiced by: Evany Rosen
The vibrant leader of Starshine Ridge who loves her town more than anything.
- Large and in Charge: She's noticeably bigger than the other Auroricorns and she becomes the new leader of Starlight Ridge after Allura is deposed.
- You Are in Command Now: After Sunny and her friends recover the Star from Allura and reject the right to lead Starshine Ridge due to needing to go back home to Equestria, they name Violet Frost as the new official leader with the rest of the Auroricorns voicing their agreement.
Comet
Debut: Secrets of Starlight
Voiced by: Cory Doran
An enthusiastic but clumsy Auroricorn who secretly dreams of seeing the world outside of his village.

A seapony that Izzy meets while on a quest to unclog her creative juices.
- The Hyena: She'll laugh at just about anything, and according to her, seaponies hold laughter in very high regard in their culture and believe that it can cure anything.
