Main Characters

    Junichi Hashiba

Junichi Hashiba

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/junichihashiba.jpg
Voiced by: Shintarō Asanuma (Japanese), Alejandro Saab (English)
The protagonist of the series, a second-year high school student who curses his lack of popularity and desperately wishes to lose his virginity.
  • Adaptation Dye-Job: His hair is changed from auburn brown to dark brown in the anime.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Junichi in general. He never noticed Nene's crush on him, knew about Yui's hidden side, and even his closest male friends constantly manipulate him.
  • Hormone-Addled Teenager: In the anime, his overactive libido even gets anthropomorphized as a giant monstrosity wearing panties on its face.
  • Insecure Love Interest: On multiple occasions, Junichi has expressed doubt as to Yukana actually seeing him as a real boyfriend, assuming that she is only using him. He likewise doesn't understand why girls like Nene or Yui would like him, assuming Nene's attempt to seduce him was just her not acting in her right mind, and dismissing the latter's first Love Confession as a joke. Even when she makes a second confession that unambiguously makes it clear that she loves him, he still can't believe a girl like her has feelings for him, though he still turns her down.
  • Man Bites Man: During his fight with Dai Mitarai in the anime, Junichi resorts to biting his leg and refuses to let go until Dai apologizes for insulting Yukana. He is eventually forced to let go and tries it again, but Dai doesn't fall for it a second time.
  • Oblivious to Love: He had the affections of both Nene and Yui for years, but never noticed either. To be fair on the latter point, though, even Yui didn't recognize her own feelings.
  • Secret-Keeper: He keeps Ranko's crush on Yukana a secret, out of fear that she would beat the crap out of him.

    Yukana Yame

Yukana Yame

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yukanayame.jpg
Voiced by: Yuki Nagaku (Japanese), Jamie Marchi (English)
The female lead, a fellow student in room 2-G and queen of the "Gals" at school. The series begins as she is asked out by Junichi.
  • Adaptation Dye-Job: Her hair is given pink tips in the anime.
  • Alliterative Name: Yukana Yame.
  • Befriending the Enemy: Yukana is so cheerful and friendly that even people who actively despise her or are plotting against her are charmed enough to forestall their plans or even become her friend outright.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Downplayed. Yukana doesn't necessarily like Junichi giving attention to other girls (especially during moments which are supposed to be just for the two of them), but she doesn't see it as a problem. She trusts his fidelity, and also thinks that being so popular with girls proves she has a hot boyfriend.
  • The Defroster: Yukana is either directly or indirectly responsible for "thawing" Ice Queens like Yui Kashii or Student Council President Iris Kotohayashi.
  • First Girl Wins: She is the first heroine introduced into the show, and her relationship with Junichi is pretty much a foregone conclusion.
  • Gyaru Girl: She is a legitimate Gyaru (the titular one of the story, in fact) that has been living in that style for years. She is even considered the "queen" of the Gyarus at her school, due to her beauty and extremely friendly personality.
  • Incompatible Orientation: Yukana never demonstrates herself to be anything but heterosexual, likely meaning that Ranko's crush was hopeless from the start.
  • Magnetic Girlfriend: Played With. After Yukana became his girlfriend, Junichi suddenly gets asked out or propositioned for sex by three separate girls. However, one of them (Ranko) has no real interest in him and only wanted to seduce him to break up his relationship with Yukana, one of them (Yui) may have at a tiny crush on him that she didn't realize until he found another girl and one of them (Nene) has been openly pining for him since grade school.
  • Ms. Fanservice: The primary fanservice girl in the series, with beautiful features, a warm smile, shapely body, and (reputedly) the second-largest chest size in the series.
  • Oblivious to Love: She has known Ranko for years, but has never noticed that she is in love with her.
  • The Pollyanna: Even when people are insulting her, attempting to ruin her relationship, or otherwise being mean, Yukana is almost always cheerful and willing to overlook their actions. The exception is when those people are hurting or insulting her friends — then she'll get serious.

    Nene Fujinoki

Shizune "Nene" Fujinoki

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shizunefujinoki.jpg
Click to see her as a Gal
Voiced by: Yui Ogura (Japanese), Brittany Lauda (English)
Junichi's childhood friend, who has been trying to gain his attention for many, many years.
  • Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: She sneaks into Junichi's room in the middle of the night completely naked and tries to entice him to take her virginity.
  • Big-Breast Pride: She is very proud of her breast size, and will eagerly use them to get Junichi's attention.
  • Changing Yourself for Love: At the start of the series, Nene reveals that she adopted a "Little Sister" personality because she thought that was what Junichi liked. When he starts dating Yukana, she changes herself into an imitation Gyaru Girl to win him back, while still keeping remnants of the "Little Sister" persona.
  • Childhood Friend: She knew Junichi when they were both very young, but the two had been apart until she began attending his high school.
  • Childhood Marriage Promise: She asks Junichi to marry her if he doesn't "become cool" by the time they're grown up. This is why she doesn't take his sudden "popularity" and relationship with Yukana very well.
  • Gyaru Girl: After losing Junichi to Yukana, she quickly remodels herself after a Gyaru in an attempt to win him back. She retains that look throughout the rest of the series.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Nene wants to break him up with Yukana, but doesn't want to Junichi to be sad in the process. In the anime, both she and Yui wonder why they are "helping the enemy".
  • Marshmallow Hell: She will always look for any opportunity to mash Junichi's body against her breasts, knowing they're her best asset to try and seduce him.
  • Ms. Fanservice: A gigantically-breasted "loli" who refers to the protagonist as "Onii" and even gets in his bed naked to try to seduce him.
  • Older Than She Looks: Other than her large chest and the fact that she goes to high school alongside the other characters, one would be forgiven for thinking Nene is a middle-schooler.
  • Passive-Aggressive Kombat: Nene's preferred method of attack is to "innocently" and cheerfully invade Junichi's space (especially when he's with another girl), all the while keeping up her pretense of being a sweet, cheerful young child. If the other girl(s) start to get angry, Nene plays it off as if their anger is unjustified, often making subtle digs at the other woman's age, breast size, style, etc. to belittle her in front of Junichi.
  • Patient Childhood Love Interest: Nene thought that Junichi would never become popular, so she was content to wait until they were grown-up before making major moves toward him. It backfires when he begins dating Yukana completely by accident.
  • Speaking Like Totally Teen: Nene's attempts at gyaru slang. She learned it from magazines and the internet, but her sources were years out of date, so she sounds like some older person trying to sound hip.

    Ranko Honjo

Ranko Honjo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rankohonjo.jpg
Voiced by: Eri Kitamura (Japanese), Morgan Garrett (English)
Yukana's childhood friend and a fellow Gal, who is fiercely protective of Yukana and secretly in love with her.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Ranko has had tanned skin since she was young, and now it fits her gal image well.
  • Attempted Rape: She tries to force herself on Junichi both to "soil" him so that no woman would ever want him, and to make him likewise afraid of women.
  • Easily Forgiven: Despite trying to use physical violence and rape to force him to break up with Yukana, and threatening to do more if he makes Yukana cry or reveals Ranko's crush on her, she is still treated as a normal part of their friend group.
  • Enemy Mine: She has tried to help Nene or Yui steal Junichi, as that would leave Yukana available again.
  • Excellent Judge of Character: Ranko is a wiz at reading people. She correctly assumes that Junichi started dating Yukana to lose his virginity, figures out early that Nene is only putting on an act to steal Junichi, correctly figures out that something is off about Yui, and notices that Junichi's friends have dirt on Yui which she can use. In the manga, she also correctly figures out that Yuki is the mastermind behind some of the strange things happening between Yukana, Yui and Junichi.
  • Hopeless Suitor: Despite every attempt, Yukana will never see her as anything but a friend, especially with Junichi in the picture. After graduating, Ranko finally accepts this and leaves Yukana to Junichi's care.
  • Ms. Fanservice: A tan-skinned, large-breasted, scantily-dressed and sexually-aggressive lesbian gal. She ticks a lot of fanservice boxes.
  • Patient Childhood Love Interest: Ranko has had a lesbian crush on Yukana since they were children, and tried to wait until Yukana noticed it. Unfortunately, she never does.
  • Psycho Lesbian: Ranko is willing to use manipulation, violence and even rape to prevent Yukana from being "spoiled" by Junichi, and has stated that she will beat him half to death if he ever gives her an excuse.
  • Secret-Keeper: She keeps Yui's hobby as a streamer secret, and even guest-stars on it from time to time.
  • Secretly Gay Activity: Ranko takes advantage of bathing with other girls to grope their breasts and rub against them intimately, despite the fact that she's clearly attracted to women.
  • Secret Test of Character: Ranko offers to take Junichi's virginity, because she pegs him as the type who's just interested in sex and not a relationship. She's surprised when he turns her offer down.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: Ranko happily exploits her assets, and wears as little clothing as possible.
  • Stupid Sexy Friend: Though Ranko usually only has eyes for Yukana, spending time with Yui (particularly in sexually-charged situations) has given her a minor crush on her as well.
  • Tsundere: Ranko starts out intensely jealous of Junichi, as she has been trying to entice Yukana into a same-sex relationship for years. Even after she accepts that the two love each other, she still belittles and teases him, only begrudgingly accepting their relationship to not hurt Yukana. She also repeatedly teases him, trying to entice him into cheating on Yukana. As time passes, she comes to genuinely like him as a friend and finally gives up on trying to steal Yukana from him.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Ranko is a Butch Lesbian who can beat the crap out of several dudes, and she happens to love to go shopping with Yukana.

    Yui Kashii

Yui Kashii

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yuikashii.jpg
Voiced by: Ayana Taketatsu (Japanese), Alison Viktorin (English)
The beautiful and intelligent Class Representative of Class 2-G, with a very dark secret.
  • A-Cup Angst: When Shinpei mentions Yui has small breasts out loud, you can see her eye twitch for a moment. During the Beach episode, her reactions to seeing Nene in her swimsuit are not favourable.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: In the anime, Yui figures out that she's in love with Junichi based on her jealousy over seeing him with Yukana and any other girls. In the manga, it takes slow buildup for Yui to figure out her feelings for Junichi. Well after their argument on the rooftop, she continues to think of him as "Doggy" and continues scheming to get him away from Yukana, intending to get her "pet" back. However, the more she fails and the more jealous she becomes of his relationship with Yukana, the more she gets confused and wonders why she even cares so much and why thinking of Junichi makes her think crazy, perverse things. This goes on for a while, until she learns that her stream chat already figured out that she's completely hung-up on "Doggy". She then decides to confess her love for real. Another trait that was changed was Yui's decision to change herself to be a worthy mistress of Junichi. In the anime, she tells her stream audience that she tried not to fall in love with Junichi because of his girlfriend, whereas in the manga, she quickly decides that she will never stop loving him and will at least be his "number two".
  • Adaptation Dye-Job: While streaming as "BoA-sama", she wears a blonde wig in the manga and a redhead one in the anime.
  • Aggressive Submissive: Despite her bossy and haughty attitude, Yui has always daydreamed about being forced or coerced into sexual situations by Junichi, even before her Love Epiphany.
  • Animal Motifs: Both Yui and Yukana say that he often behaves like a "dog".
  • Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: After being caught in a series of traps that can only be opened by perverse acts like kissing and fondling, Yui is immensely disappointed when Junichi finds solutions that don't require either.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She is used to hiding her selfish, haughty personality behind a false smile, with almost no one able to see her true persona underneath. She grows out of it, mostly, but still keeps a prideful and manipulative streak.
  • Break the Haughty: She's haughty, arrogant, and a Karmic Butt-Monkey.
  • Broken Ace: Yui is smart, beautiful and popular, but being showered with unending praise and attention for her talents gave her an enormous ego wherein she believes the whole world exists "for her". Everyone else is either a butler, a maid, a sycophantic fan, or a pet. When her favorite "pet", Junichi, starts paying more attention to his new girlfriend, she sees this as a "dog" showering someone else with the love meant for their "owner". It takes a long while for her to truly understand why this bothers her so much, and growing out of this mentality.
  • Casual Kink: Yui's common Imagine Spots and Erotic Dreams almost always include her being in some form of bondage or coercion, along with a brief shot of Junichi licking her armpits.
  • Changing Yourself for Love: During a "date" with Junichi, she implies that she began acting as a mature, dignified woman because she was sure that was the type of girl he liked, surprised that he instead started dating Yukana. After she falls in love with him for real, she promises to revise herself into a much better and ideal woman in order to earn his reciprocation.
  • Class Representative: Yui, who possesses both brains and beauty, is the class representative for class 2-G and idolized by her classmates (which has over-inflated her massive ego).
  • Cool Big Sis: Her little brother Yuki looked up to her all his life, and she often defended him from bullies. He becomes upset at her change in demeanor after she becomes obsessed with Junichi, and he begins toying with them to force Junichi out of her life. When these events lead into Yui having a Love Epiphany, she regains her composure and once again becomes the Cool Big Sis Yuki loves, although he also makes the decision to begin walking on his own two feet.
  • Covert Pervert: Once her feelings for him are in full swing, Yui constantly schemes to find ways to be held, groped or "accidentally" kissed by Junichi, trying to keep up her appearance as a dignified young lady.
  • Easily Forgiven: Despite insulting, blackmailing and insulting him, Junichi instantly forgives her when she asks him to, and she even remarks how easy it is to "reset" things with "Doggy".
  • Entitled Bitch: Yui begins the series feeling entitled to the adoration and respect she gets from everyone around her, often expressing her entitled beliefs to a sycophantic audience in her "BoA" persona. She gradually grows out of it, somewhat, though she remains extremely haughty and proud.
  • Entitled to Have You: Having known Junichi since middle school, and having the beauty and demeanor to get him to do anything she wants, Yui enjoyed seeing him as her personal "dog". When he begins dating Yukana, she becomes extremely furious that she's no longer (in her mind) the center of his world.
  • Everyone Can See It: Her crush on Junichi is so obvious that Ranko, her brother, and even her entire stream chat realize that she's in love with him before she does.
  • Excellent Judge of Character: She is very perceptive, such as noticing that Yuki was the person who made an anonymous message in her chat.
  • Good Angel, Bad Angel: While lost at an amusement park with Junichi, he falls asleep and both a devil and an angel appear on her shoulders. The devil wants her to kiss Junichi fully on the lips, and the angel just wants her to kiss him on the cheek. She's shocked that both of them agree that she should kiss him at all.
  • Green-Eyed Epiphany: She didn't recognize her feelings for Junichi until he began dating another girl and it made her angry. In the manga, it still takes her a long time to realize that she's actually jealous, as she thought her anger was due to Junichi "disrespecting" his "owner".
  • Gyaru Girl: During the day, she lives as her normal, proper self. In the evening, she live streams as "BoA", a bossy, egotistical gyaru.
  • Hoist by Her Own Petard: Yui's schemes to seduce Junpei (along with other goals) almost always backfire against her. Such as her blackmail attempt resulting in her being blackmailed, and her attempt to force Iris to apologize by making her overheat in the sauna causing her to actually pass out from the heat.
  • Hopeless Suitor: Once Junichi began dating Yukana, her chances of becoming his girlfriend dropped to zero. Once she realizes that she can't have him, she instead decides she'll become his mistress.
  • I Love You Because I Can't Control You: She falls in love with Junichi when he stops following every command she makes, finding it unacceptable that her "dog" won't obey her.
  • Imagine Spot: She has a habit of imagining what she'll do once she has Yui under her spell. At first, these daydreams started as simply lording herself over him, but they quickly turned into perverse sexual fantasies.
  • It's All About Me: With her beauty and intelligence which made everyone fawn over her, Yui came to believe that the entire world was "for her", and saw everybody as her personal servants or pets.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Post-Character Development. On more than one occasion, Yui has put her personal feelings aside to fix problems or rifts in Junichi and Yukana's relationship, simply because she loves him and likes Yukana as a friend. In the anime, she and Nene wonder aloud if they should be "helping the enemy", but in the manga, Yui is attempting to prove that she can be an ideal mistress, if she can't be Junichi's girlfriend.
  • Karmic Butt-Monkey: Yui is a haughty Alpha Bitch hiding behind a dignified and pleasant demeanor. However, this illusion is shattered when her favorite "pet", Junichi, begins dating another girl and no longer gives her the same attention. Her jealousy prompts Yui to hatch multiple schemes to steal "her dog" back from Yukana, which typically fail and result in her being placed in some kind of humiliating or objectifying position. Even after she goes through a Love Epiphany and Jerkass Realization, and no longer sees Junichi as merely a "pet", she still has a habit of scheming to seduce him, usually with the same results. When one character asks why she keeps putting herself through it, she simply states that any chance of being with Junichi is Worth It.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: Post-Character Development, Yui still has a somewhat haughty and manipulative streak, but also genuinely cares about her friends.
  • Love Confession: She gives her first "confession" to Junichi in an attempt to break him up with Yukana, but he turns her down and causes her to under a Villainous Breakdown. Her second confession (which was prompted by her brother, Ranko and her stream chat) was completely sincere, although she still gets rejected.
  • Love Epiphany: After repeatedly failing to regain her "dog's" attention, Yui becomes increasingly jealous and frustrated until she sees a message in her stream chat saying she "likes Doggy". At that point, she becomes further confused, until Ranko likewise crashes her stream and asks her chat what they think "BoA's" feelings are. The entire stream chat universally agreed that it was obvious Yui was totally in love with "Doggy", and it's this moment that finally makes Yui accept it.
  • The Mistress: After realizing Junichi will probably never be hers, she decides that she will prove herself to be a good mistress.
  • Ms. Fanservice: While not possessing the same physical attributes as the other girls, Yui's haughty behavior and tendency to Hoist by Her Own Petard often leaves her in extremely humiliating and objectifying situations. Part of her appeal is seeing such a self-important girl being reduced to a sexual punchline.
  • Not Good with Rejection: After her first Love Confession goes south, Yui goes on a loud tirade about "Doggy" disobeying his "owner" and then attempts to blackmail him into going out with her.
  • Oblivious to Love: It's suggested that she has had a crush on Junichi since middle school, but never recognized her feelings for what they were.
  • Patient Childhood Love Interest: Yui probably fell in love with Junichi in middle school, but failed to recognize her own feelings. It never occurred to her that he would even give another girl his attention until he began dating Yukana, and afterwards, it completely shattered Yui's ego.
  • Pretend to Be Brainwashed: While in a trap laced with aphrodesiacs, Yui starts begging Junichi to do lewd stuff to her. He's shocked, because it took Iris much longer to succumb, but Yui didn't want to wait and simply used the aphrodesiacs as an excuse.
  • Schemer: Yui is always thinking up failure-prone plans or schemes to get what she wants, and sees other people as merely tools. Even after her Character Development, she still has a habit of launching crazy plans when an opportunity arises, although they don't tend to go any better.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Connections!: She manages to stop the perverted maid cafe manager from forcing the girls into reading erotic light novels by making a phone call to the owner, while still ensuring that they would get their bonus pay regardless.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: She has only ever loved Junichi, and as far as she's concerned, that doesn't change even if he has a girlfriend. She'll be his mistress if she has to.
  • Stupid Sexy Friend: During one attempt to get her "dog" back, she has an Imagine Spot thinking about what she'll have him do for her...only for the daydream to quickly become lewd. When she comes back to her senses, she's confused where the heck that came form.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: After her Love Epiphany, she decides to become a better person for Junichi, even if there's almost no chance he'll ever go out with her.
  • Tsundere: Yui begins as a snobbish Alpha Bitch who only sees Junichi as her "dog". It's all but stated later that she was probably in love with him from the very beginning but was too scared to fully embrace her feelings, and so justified them by seeing Junichi as her servant whom she was entitled to have. After he gets a girlfriend, she becomes angry about it but isn't sure why; in the manga, she continues treating him as "just a dog" until her younger brother forces her to confront her true feelings. After which, she devotes herself entirely to earning Junichi's love.
  • Unknowingly in Love: A narcissistic Bitch in Sheep's Clothing who views everyone around her as her "servants" or "pets". Her favorite "dog" is Junichi, with whom she has been in the same class with since middle school. However, when Junichi suddenly begins dating the titular gal Yukana, Yui becomes angry, justifying it as "her dog" giving someone else attention that's entitled to its owner. Yui begins scheming to steal Junichi back by any means necessary, including seducing him, often becoming confused by how aroused she gets when trying to win him over and questioning why she even cares so much. Through convoluted circumstances, she eventually comes to realize that her jealousy is because she's in love with him and that she probably always has been, but didn't realize it until it was too late. This makes her undergo a Jerkass Realization and pledge to be a nicer, kinder person to try to earn Junichi's love. She realizes that it's probably too late now, but she refuses to give up and tells him she's willing to settle for being his mistress if necessary.
  • Villainous Breakdown: The moment that Junichi rejects her confession, Yui completely loses her composure and screeches at him, and attempts to blackmail him. In the manga, she continues to plot and scheme to win him back, and continues to rant about him at least once every stream. Yuki notices that his once-Cool Big Sis has suddenly turned into a mess, and launches a scheme for her to get over Junichi. Her breakdown ends once Yuki and Ranko's actions force her into a Love Epiphany, and she finally decides to become a better person to earn Junichi's love.
  • What Is This Feeling?: After her "dog" stops paying her attention, Yui becomes increasingly angry. On multiple occasions, she asks herself why she even cares so much, and she's also confused why starts having erotic fantasies whenever she thinks about getting Junichi back under her control.
  • When She Smiles: Early on, Junichi notes that there's something "odd" about the way Yui smiles, and the audience is meant to recognize that this because she is a Stepford Smiler who hides her nastier, selfish personality behind a pleasant façade. After she genuinely falls in love with Junichi and resolves to be a better person to earn his love, she begins showing her real, genuine smile, and it is unbelievably sweet and adorable.
  • Worth It: Even after her Love Epiphany and Level in Kindness, Yui still has a habit of launching schemes to steal him away from Yukana and the other girls, which almost always end with her suffering a humiliating defeat. When asked by Nene why she keeps trying, despite how things turn out, Yui simply says that any chance of being with Junichi is worth it.

  • Flanderization: Minoru's interest in elementary school girls was severely downplayed to background gags in the manga, but becomes a recurring personality trait in the anime.
  • Secret-Keeper: He, Shinpei and Keigo promise to keep Yui's hobby a secret, as they are "Supreme Gentlemen".

Other characters

    Yuki Kashii

Yuki Kashii

Yui's younger brother. He is an extremely beautiful and effeminate young boy that dresses exclusively in girls' clothing.
  • Adapted Out: Despite playing a big role in Yui's character arc, he is completely missing in the anime.
  • Ambiguously Bi: He is a crossdresser that reacts very favourably to attention from both men and women. He is also a massive flirt and tease, being extremely forward to and sexually flustering Junichi and friends, as well as the girls, on multiple occasions. It's unknown whether his various advances are legitimate or he's just playing The Gadfly.
  • Big Sister Worship: He adores his big sister, and his scheming at the beginning was out of concern that she had suddenly changed from being the confident, cool big sister he always knew into a wreck who was completely hung up on just one guy. He was determined to "get her back" no matter what it took.
  • Dude Looks Like a Lady: Yuki is a boy and identifies as one, but he loves to dress and act like a young girl and make people believe he is one.
  • Sadist: He enjoys toying with people's emotions. He even smiled at the thought of making his sister cry.
  • The Trickster: Yuki is a diabolical underclassman, gleefully pushing the other characters' buttons, and manipulating them into doing what he wants. His intentions are usually benign; originally, he selfishly wanted his sister to return to being a Cool Big Sis rather than the awkward, Smitten Teenage Girl she was becoming thanks to Junichi. His actions are what lead to the Love Epiphany that solidifies Yui's decision to be a better person. While this wasn't quite what he intended, Yuki is still satisfied, as his big sister has regained her coolness and confidence again.
  • Troll: He likes making people uncomfortable. In addition to making people mistake him as a girl, he loves to flirt with both men and women and leave them confused about their feelings.
  • Wholesome Crossdresser: Yuki Kashii, the younger brother of Yui, tends to wear the female school uniform as well as grow his hair out to look like a girl, giving him the nickname "Boy-Kun". He also gets his fair share of fan service as if he was a woman, such as flirting and teasing with Junichi and his friends, flashes of his panties, and erotic fantasies, as well as being considered very beautiful by the rest of the school.
  • Xanatos Gambit: Yuki's plan was to put a definitive end to Yui's obsession with Junichi so that she could return to being the Cool Big Sis he loved. To this end, he wished to force her into a Love Confession. He knew that it was almost certain that Junichi would turn her down, which would force Yui to move on. But even if he didn't, then that would still mean that his sister got the man she wanted. Or she would give up streaming (and thus have more time for Yuki) because her obsession with "Doggy" was ruining her show. Or, he assumed that Yui's confession would make Yukana jealous or insecure enough to break up with Junichi, and once again give his sister the man she wanted. No matter how his plans turned out, he would get what he wanted. Even the real outcome (Yui gets rejected but becomes determined to be Junichi's mistress) still works out in Yuki's favor because now his sister feels poised and confident again.

    Iris Kotohayashi

Iris Kotohayashi

The Student Council President, who makes it her mission to clean up the perverted things happening in Class 2-G.
  • Adapted Out: She plays the role of central antagonist during the school festival arc, but does not appear in the anime.
  • Arc Villainess: She is the principal antagonist of the School Festival arc.
  • The Bet: She refuses to give Class 2-G the funds to do the "Gap Moe" cafe they want for the school festival unless Yukana agrees to dress like a proper student until the day of the event. Yukana gladly agrees. However, after Yukana continues to stand up for her, Iris changes her mind and grants the funds without issue.
  • But Not Too Foreign: Iris is a dual-Nationality of Japanese and French.
  • Butt-Monkey: Her serious and authoritative persona is constantly laid low by something perverted happening to her. The usually Running Gag being Junichi accidentally pulling down her skirt.
  • Cool Big Sis: After Yukana wins her over, Iris begins to dote over her, giving her protection and advice. At one point, she tells Junichi that she cares about Yukana's well-being just as much as he does.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: After Yukana wins her over, Iris stops antagonizing her and instead begins doting on Yukana like a Cool Big Sis.
  • Graceful Loser: When Yuki and Yui trick Iris into being forced to dress like a Gyaru Girl, Iris simply puts up with it (though clearly unhappy) and never complains.
  • Ice Queen: What she originally appears as, before Yukana wins her over and she begins showing her Hidden Depths.
  • Moral Guardians: She appoints herself as the watchdog that will monitor and crack down on the "lewd" activities of Class 2-G, including the large number of Gyaru Gals in the class, and the "harem" that has formed around Junichi.
  • Oh, Crap!: After the first few instances of Junichi accidentally molesting her, she panics and yells for him to stay away from her every time they meet. (It still usually ends with her being molested.)
  • The Ojou: Her family owns a bakery, which she will likely inherit someday. As such, she has the look and behavior of a proper, high-born Japanese girl.
  • Running Gag: Every time she and Junichi comes face-to-face, he accidentally does something perverted to her, like pull down her skirt, grab her boob or fall on her.
  • The Stoic: Rarely ever shows emotion, even when she is blatantly fawning over Yukana.
  • Student Council President: The president of the school's Student Council. They border on Absurdly Powerful Student Council, as when they show up, the series temporarily turns into a "battle manga" complete with silly powers. Her goal is to force Class 2-G to clean up their behavior; especially Junichi and Yukana.
  • A Taste of Their Own Medicine: Yui and Yuki try to force Iris to dress like a Gyaru because she did the opposite to Yukana and made her dress normally. Yukana makes them stop because Iris is clearly unhappy with it, and even though she started it by forcing Yukana to wear "normal" clothes, the difference is that Yukana doesn't mind at all. This kindness is what instantly makes Iris befriend Yukana.
  • Throwing the Fight: She and Yui have a contest to see who can sit in a heated sauna longer, with Yui suggesting the contest to make Iris apologize to Yukana for her actions during the school festival. Iris doesn't even flinch while Yui becomes increasingly uncomfortable and even passes out while demanding that Iris apologize. When Yui wakes up, Iris declares Yui the "winner" since Iris stepped out of the sauna first while carrying the unconscious Yui. Yui believes that she manipulated this so that she could apologize to Yukana but save face.
  • Tsundere: Iris is a very stern, cold and prudish Student Council President who at first opposes the gals (especially Yukana, their de-facto leader) and Junichi, whom she sees as a pervert intentionally building a harem around himself. Despite her constant antagonizing, Yukana still acts graciously accepts Iris's actions and even defends her with the rest of the cast try to retaliate against her. This earns Iris's friendship, and while she still puts on an act of being cold and harsh, it's clear that she's become a surrogate big sister to Yukana and wants to look after her.

Voiced by: Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Japanese), J. Michael Tatum (English)
Yukana's ex-boyfriend from middle school.
  • Vile Villain, Saccharine Show: Despite the light-hearted nature of the series, he is a completely vile, detestable villain. He is also unique to the anime, as no villain of his type appears in the manga
  • Would Hurt a Child: In the second half of episode 10, Mitarai hits a young girl, which does not sit well with Minoru.
