Universal

    Agatha
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agatha_hsl.png
To view her UL and LL sprite, clickhere
Agatha is Candy's aunt and (self-appointed) fairy godmother. You can bump into her in each episode and, when encountered, she will give your Candy a gift, such as an episode exclusive clothing item, action points, or gold.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Agatha wanders around the city just for fun and sometimes even into the houses of Candy's friends, all while dressed like a fairy in order to give her niece gifts. Considering how unfazed Candy's parents seem when they find out about this habit, one can only assume they're used to this type of behavior.

Non-Universal

"High School Life" and "University Life"

    Philip

Philip

Philip is Candy's father.
  • Boyfriend-Blocking Dad: Philip doesn't like the idea of Candy having a boyfriend. To him, she'll always be his little girl.
  • Parents as People: Candy's parents genuinely try to be supportive, but their tendency to give her some space and not always taking into account her actual needs ends up clashing with her anxious tendencies at the wrong moments. This generally leads her into more problematic situations than she was before. It's clear they don't mean to stifle her and they do apologize when they realize they were in the wrong.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Candy's parents will punish her if she does something clearly wrong, but they're willing to listen to reason. One example is how Philip apologizes to Candy's boyfriend for yelling at him for something that Candy did, and then tells Candy that they aren't forbidden from seeing each other like she'd thought.
  • Shared Family Quirks: Candy's parents wander around places just as much as Candy does. She even wonders if it runs in the family.

    Lucia

Lucia

Lucia is Candy's mother.

"High School Life" only

    ChiNoMimi

ChiNoMimi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chinomimi_hsl.png
ChiNoMimi is a guide who gives explanations to the player about game mechanics.
  • Author Avatar: She's an in-game representation of ChiNoMiko, the creator of and art director for My Candy Love.
  • Info Dump: Her explanations are all given in one big chunk during the beginning of the episode she appears in. These explanations are usually repeatable.

    Mrs. Shermansky

Mrs. Shermansky

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/principal_shermansky.png
Mrs. Shermansky is the principal of Sweet Amoris.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Her surname is Shermansky, but most of the characters- including the teachers- usually refer to her as just "the Principal".
  • Mood-Swinger: She's susceptible to bursts of anger followed by calmness.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Despite her extreme mood swings, she does care about doing what's best for the school and is open to new ideas so long as money isn't an issue.

    Mr. Faraize

Mr. Faraize

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mr_faraize.png
Mr. Faraize is a soft-spoken teacher who works at Sweet Amoris.
  • Extreme Doormat: Faraize allows his students to do talk during classes and walk over him.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: He clearly cares about his students and wants to do right by them. Trouble is, he has a very hard time disciplining them and is often drowned out or ignored by the more talkative teenagers. Even if they do like him, not many of his students actually respect him.

    Boris

Boris

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boris_hsl.png
Boris is Sweet Amoris's gym teacher and Dakota's uncle. He's a fun loving man with a flare for the dramatic.
  • Ascended Extra: Originally, his only appearance was in "High School Life"'s tutorial episode, where he was used to demonstrate how the affinity mechanic worked. He later became a recurring member of the cast before eventually being replaced by a different character for that portion of the tutorial.
  • Camp Straight: He acts rather flamboyant and always carries around a rose, but before he became the gym teacher and was only seen in "High School Life"'s tutorial, he would flirt with Candy.

    Ms. Delanay

Ms. Nadine Delanay

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nadine_delanay.png
Nadine is Sweet Amoris' science teacher.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: After the chemical spill incident, she seems to have cooled down and tries to be fair; for instance, she corrects the grade on Violette's homework when she realizes that she made a grading error.
  • Stern Teacher: Delanay is overly harsh in her teaching methods, and doesn't think twice about embarrassing on or more of her students in front of the rest of the class. This trait lessens considerably she managed to cause a lab safety accident on her second day of teaching.

    Patrick

Patrick Savin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/patrick_savin.png
An Australian art teacher who came to Sweet Amoris to help with the Art Day workshops. After the competition, he became Sweet Amoris' permanent art teacher.
  • Cool Teacher: He's generally laid-back and helps his students when they're having trouble.
  • Dub Name Change: His original French name was Pierrick. This was changed to "Patrick" in the US and UK versions since that name is similiar and more common in both countries.
  • First-Name Basis: He insists that he be referred to as Patrick and not Mr. Savin.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: He's probably the most responsible and Genre Savvy of the high school staff. For starters, he's the only one of them who sees Amber as a bully and troublemaker.

    Thomas

Thomas

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thomas_mcl.png
Iris's younger brother.
  • Precocious Crush: He has a small crush on Candy, though he realizes that he's too young for her.
  • Wise Beyond Their Years: He immediately figures out Candy and her boyfriend are on a date right after meeting them for the first time. Iris seemed oblivious to the fact despite having known Candy for nearly two years and her boyfriend for (possibly) even longer.

    Samuel

Samuel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/samuel_default.png
Samuel is an underclassman who is dating Capucine.
  • Likes Older Women: Downplayed. He's 15 while Capucine is 17, which is a pretty major difference when you're in high school.

    Dimitry

Dimitry

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dimitry_mcl.png
Dimitry is a vampire who lives in an impressive castle close to the grave of his long dead love.
  • Ascended Extra: He was originally intended to be a one-off character in an optional event episode. In Episode 19, he makes an appearance as a character Candy can run into during her trip at the mall.
  • Friendly Neighborhood Vampire: He's a vampire who doesn't drink human blood and is kind and caring to Candy.
  • Not Using the "Z" Word: He doesn't ever refer to himself as a vampire.
  • Our Monsters Are Different: Dimitry is a vampire who doesn't take pleasure in drinking blood or being a creature of the night.

    Evan

Evan

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/evan_sprite_1_5.png
Evan is a friend of Kentin's from military school.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Deconstructed. While he acts like a big brother to Kentin by giving him advice, the lessons he gives to Kentin aren't necessarily positive; needlessly picking fights and acting tough don't exactly make you friends or let you keep the ones you have. Evan's actual siblings, Armin and Alexy, want to look up to him but are put off by his more questionable behavior.
  • Handsome Lech: He's fairly handsome and pretty flirty, but his trouble-making and overly aggressive behavior pushes away the girls instead of making them fall for him.
  • Rape as Backstory: During Kentin's explanation of his stint in military camp, he says that "some guys came after him [Evan]" and breaks down into tears while trying to explain why Evan is the way he is. This means that Evan was most likely raped and is dealing with that trauma by acting overly aggressively.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: When Evan's around, not only is Kentin surprisingly rude and insolent, he also starts getting into fights with grown men and generally causing trouble for himself. Evan doesn't think of it as toxic, he thinks he's helping Kentin protect himself.

    Parents

Parents

The parents of the main cast. There's Francis and Adelaide (Nathaniel and Amber's parents), Jean-Louis and Valerie (Castiel parents), Maddy and Guy (Kentin's parents), Josiane and George (Lysander and Leigh's parents), Arnold and Victoria (Armin and Alexy's parents), and Denis and Audrey (Kim's parents).
  • Abusive Parents: Francis is physically and verbally abusive to their son, Adelaide is financially abusive to their daughter, and they're both emotionally neglectful to each of their children.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Each parent does or says things that embarrass their children in some way. Frances and Adelaide are haughty and snobby, and Jean-Louis and Valerie aren't afraid to show how much they care about and are proud of their son.
  • Doting Parent: Francis and Adelaide both dote on Amber, letting her get away with actions and behavior they'd punish Nathaniel for.
  • Jerkass:
    • Francis made many of the other parents uncomfortable and almost everyone Candy meets says that they "feel sorry for his son [Nathaniel]". Behind closed door, Francis is physically abusive towards Nathaniel.
    • Guy sending Kentin to military school was an act of Tough Love, but hanging up on his crying, terrified son while he was alone and dealing with bullies in a strange place just seems unnecessary cruel.
  • Mum Looks Like a Sister: Maddy is initially mistaken to be Kentin's sister by Candy due to the family resemblance, her short stature and youthful appearance. Once Maddy mentions that she's looking for her husband does Candy realize she assumed wrongly.
  • Noodle People: Adelaide is drawn much skinnier than everyone else, with thin arms and pole-like figure. Considering she's a fashion model, she most likely takes pains to keep herself slim.
  • Papa Wolf: Guy is seen looking for Amber, his tone indicating that he's going to give the girl who bullied his son a tongue lashing.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Maddy is friendly towards everyone who aren't Francis or Adelaide. She treats them with utter disdain because of how their daughter, Amber, bullied Kentin.
  • Uncanny Family Resemblance: Maddy looks almost exactly like how Kentin did before he went to military camp, right down to the sharp-cut bangs and opaque nerd glasses.
