* ExtravertedNerd: His attire is stereotypically nerdy, and he's both very friendly and currently in a relationship.

These are characters who don't fit any other categories.

Agatha is Candy's aunt and (self-appointed) fairy godmother. You can bump into her in each episode and, when encountered, will give your Candy a gift exclusive to that episode.

* CloudCuckoolander: Agatha, to the nth degree. She wanders around Sweet Amoris, and sometimes even the houses of Candy's friends, all while dressed like a fairy in order to give her niece gifts. Considering how unfazed Candy's parents seem when they find out about this habit, one can only assume they're used to this type of behavior.

* OverprotectiveDad: Philip doesn't like the idea of Candy having a boyfriend. To him, she'll always be a little girl.
* ParentsAsPeople: Candy's parents genuinely try to be supportive, but their tendency to give her some space and not always taking into account her actual needs ends up clashing with her anxious tendencies at the wrong moments. This generally leads her into more problematic situations than she was before. It's clear they don't mean to stifle her, though, and they do apologize when they realize they were in the wrong.

* AscendedExtra: He was originally just a one-off character in an optional event episode. In Episode 19, he makes an appearance as a character Candy can run into during her trip at the mall. At one point, he was part of HSL's tutorial episode before being replaced by Leigh.
* FriendlyNeighborhoodVampire: He's a vampire who doesn't drink human blood and is kind to Candy.
* OurMonstersAreDifferent: In a game about dating boys, this kind of things were bound to happen. He's certainly different from the usual conception of a vampire.
* TheLostLenore: Magdelene, his long dead love. The entire Halloween 2011 episode sort of revolves around her.

* BigBrotherMentor: Deconstructed. While he acts how you might expect this archetype to, the lessons he gives to Kentin aren't necessarily positive. [[spoiler:The twins]], his actual siblings, want to look up to him but are put off by his more questionable behavior.
* HandsomeLech: He's fairly handsome and pretty flirty.
* RapeAsBackstory: [[spoiler: Heavily implied. Kentin says "some guys came after him" and breaks down into tears while trying to explain why Evan is the way he is.]]
* SiblingYinYang: He's pretty different from [[spoiler: the twins]]; they're different enough between each other, but neither have Evan's various issues; they were babies when their parents died, and were adopted by loving and supportive parents. Evan was 10, and ended up going to a harsh military school and accumulating all sorts of trauma.
* ToxicFriendInfluence: When Evan's around, not only is Kentin surprisingly rude and insolent, he also starts getting into fights with grown men and generally causing trouble for himself. Evan doesn't think of it as toxic, though; he thinks he's helping Kentin protect himself.
* WalkingSpoiler: The fact that he's [[spoiler:Armin and Alexy' older brother]] is hard not to mention.

* FreudianExcuse: Francis was sabotaged at his job, and is now stuck in a basic position despite previously being considered for the vice president position (which is apparently causing financial issues for his family as well). Because the person who sabotaged him was a young man fresh out of college, his son assumes that Francis is projecting his anger at that man onto him. Candy points out that while that is unfortunate, it doesn't justify his actions.
* HappilyAdopted: Armin and Alexy were adopted by a pair of fun-loving people who connected very easily with them.

** Nathaniel and Amber's parents. Francis in particular made many of the other parents uncomfortable and almost everyone Candy meets says that they "feel sorry for his son". Curiously, no mention is made of feeling sorry for Amber.
** Guy sending Kentin to military school was an act of ToughLove, but hanging up on his crying, terrified son while he was alone and dealing with bullies in a strange place just seems unnecessary cruel. No wonder Kentin latched onto Evan so quickly.
* MumLooksLikeASister: Candy mistakes Maddy for Kentin's sister before she mentions something about "finding her husband".
* NoodlePeople: Adelaide is drawn much thinner than everyone else.
