    Takuto Hasegawa

Takuto Hasegawa

Described as being "Extremely normal in all fields." The main male lead in the story who attends school in both the normal world and the magic world. During an incident on his retake summoning test he accidentally summoned Tanarotte.

Most of the incidences he is in is usually caused by the antics of Tanarotte or being summoned by Sakuma for some mission (given the nickname Harem, which Takuto dislikes). He is normally the voice of reason and finds ways to get the answer without the use of violence. At the end of Episode 8 of the anime, Gabuyan and Agarin refer to Takuto as the 'Holy Mother', a being with the power to create Gods and Demons. Fablom has told Sagami that Takuto must be killed out of fear of him causing an upset of power between the Gods and Demons.

  • Above the Influence: He tries his best but with all three (well mainly two) of his harem mates constantly trying to get naked with the man, it's impressive he's held on this far. Hell, even his own classmate who has a major crush on him was shocked that he had three beautiful woman living in his house and immediately thought he was into *ahem* that kinda stuff.
  • All-Loving Hero: Despite all of the trouble and headaches they cause him, Takuto has never once thought of any of his harem members as burdens.
  • Apologises Alot: Ends up having too frequently seeing as how seventy percent of the time property damage is concerned, it's either Tanarotte's or Suzuho's fault.
  • Attractive Bent-Gender: Just see for yourself!
  • Black Comedy Rape: Gets subjected to these quite often, by his own harem of course and even a man.
  • Celibate Hero: Downplayed. He shows attraction to the multiple females of the cast but doesn't really act or show any favoritism to any of them. You could say he favors Tanarotte but it's more of a "Big Brother" relationship.
  • Chick Magnet: Tanarotte, Futaba, and Suzuho are quite obviously in love with him while Falche and Eineus are affectionate with him and favor him. He's even been given the nickname "Harem" to his displeasure.
  • Got Volunteered: Sakuma has a habit of volunteering him in helping with situations that occur.
  • Heroic BSoD: Has one when Tanarotte is seemingly killed in episode 10 due to a wooden spike that was directed at Takuto but Tanarotte jumped in the way. The dude freaks out so much that he causes a space rift in the dimension and it takes both Agarin and Gabriel to stop him.
  • Intimate Healing: Ends up on the receiving end of this by Miyabi in order to heal his wounds. From the looks of his expression during the kiss and what happened after, he very much enjoyed it.
  • Nice Guy: Easily the nicest character in the series.
  • Non-Action Guy: Even though he's a magician and can cast combat magic, he's average at best and is easily outclassed by most of the characters in the series to the point that most of the fights don't even include him.
  • Ordinary High-School Student: Downplayed a bit. He may be a normal human being studying for his exams, but he is also a secret magician that attends a prestigious magic school so you could say he's a "special" high school student.
  • Red Baron: Sakuma has given him the code name, Harem. Takuma repeatedly tells him to stop calling him that.
  • Ridiculously Average Guy: There was nothing really special about him as he has average looks, average grades, and lived a very average life style. Then they showed up and turned his life upside down.
  • Teeny Weenie: During his shopping trip with Tanarotte, he notices a baby and it's mother and Tanarotte looks at the baby naked and compares the baby's junk to Takuto's, stating they were the same. Needless to say, even the baby's mother pitied him.
  • Unwanted Harem: He loves them all but...they're fondness of him can get out of hand.

    Suzuho Hasegawa

Suzuho Hasegawa

Voiced by: Ui Miyazaki (JP)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/suzuho_image_1172.jpg

Described as being "Really shy. Takuto's sister-like-cousin. Boobs + Glasses" She is Takuto's cousin and is so shy that she is mute, communicating to others by writing on a sketch pad and hiding in various objects, the most common is a doll helmet which the eyes also move on their own. She too is a magic user like her cousin but she has a rare ability to suck the powers of any magic user around her when she unbraids her hair. This turns it a distinctive blue color which earned her the nickname from her terrified classmates "Midnight Blue Vampire."

She clearly has affection for Takuto, blushing to his compliments and nearly destroying Magic Academy to get him back; because of this she moved in with Takuto now that he lives with Tanarotte to keep an eye on her. However anytime a character points that affection out, she gets extremely nervous. In episode 4 she becomes a student in the same school as Takuto where she is popular among the other female students because of the high-class high school she used to go to before this school.

  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Her other half's most prominent trait. Any female who touches or interacts with Takuto will receive an open invitation from her to unleash hell.
    • Taken up to extremes in Episode 3 when Miyabi kissed Takuto, causing Suzuho to hilariously transform into a jealous blood weeping man.
  • Cute Bookworm: Just looking at her, you would naturally assume both cute and bookish.
  • Double Standard: Abuse, Female on Male: Downplayed quite a bit. Though she doesn't physically hurt Takuto to extremes like other female characters, she is usually the first one to cover Takuto's eyes whenever he sees something lewd. By "cover his eyes", read "forcibly shove her notepad in his face to stop him from seeing it".
  • Kissing Cousins: She is quite obviously in love or at the very least crushing on Takuto...who just so happens to be her blood related cousin.
  • Shrinking Violet: Her non-"vampire" side. She's so shy she doesn't have the courage to speak and instead uses a notebook to convey her messages.
  • Split Personality: Somehow, she has two distinctive personalities that are connected through a ribbon tied on her pony tail. Suzuho is a shy, quiet, and thoughtful girl who is insecure about herself and hides her shyness through a notepad. The the other Suzuho known as the "Blue Vampire" is the complete opposite, voicing her opinions on a daily basis and not hesitating to unleash hell on anyone who pisses her off.
  • Weak, but Skilled:
    • Never shown to have a fight in the series but her other half has an ability that drains the magic power of any person within a set distance of her. She makes use of this power to weaken her enemies.
    • Despite not having the monstrous physical strength that Tanarotte has, she opts to use a weapon powered by magical energy that can quite literally, obliterate the entire school in a single shot.

    Tanarotte

Tanarotte

Voiced by: Mariya Ise (JP)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tanrotte_image_7316.jpg

Described as being "Unknown". A young, well-endowed, familiar that was summoned by Takuto but it is unknown if she is a god or a demon. Her magical power is over 100,000, divinity power 5,000, offensive power 5,000 and defensive power 78,000 and is physically strong as well, able to hold off a small army of Golem units with only a single hand. When first summoned she was running on pure animal-like instincts and tended to act like an affectionate cat around Takuto (only saying Myu, clinging to him while being completely naked, and licking his cheek).

It wasn't till Takuto had named her (as she reminded him of a cat he once had named Tanarotte) that she calmed down and was able to talk. She is shown to have a genuine affection towards Takuto and treats her Familiar service to him as if they were a newly married couple, but her personality resembles that of an energetic child. It is later revealed that Tanarotte has the power to 'evolve' into either a god or a demon.

  • Bad Ass Adorable: Despite her petite appearance, this girl can fight.
  • Cannot Keep a Secret: She has a habit of just spouting off secrets she really shouldn't without a care.
Students: You're a foreign exchange student?
Tanarotte: That's what Takuto told me to say.
  • Cute Bruiser: Now just imagine this girl being able to defeat an army of thirty feet golems...without even trying. Frightening, ain't it?
  • From the Mouths of Babes: She looks and acts like a hyperactive child, but will often say things that cause Takuto to asks where she has heard that from.
  • Genki Girl: The girl just doesn't seem to run out of energy.
  • Innocent Fan Service Girl: Wears less clothing by the episodes and doesn't seem to care one but about it, which of course troubles Takuto as people begin to wonder if that's the kind of thing he's into.
  • Lightning Bruiser: The most physically powerful and most agile member of Takuto's group who can also take a major seemingly lethal hit.
  • That Came Out Wrong: She will answer truthfully, but how she says it can be easily misinterpreted.
Futaba: Takuto. Who (Falcé) is this?
Tanarotte: (Cheerfully) That's his Dutch Wife, she came here in a box.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: She flat out says she doesn't care if Takuto became a monster or grew tentacles as she hugged him who turned into a girl.
  • Undying Loyalty: Just as a dog is incredibly loyal to it's master(s), Tanarotte has decided to remain by Takuto's side forever.
  • Verbal Tic: She usually ends her sentences with "nano de aru".
  • Worthy Opponent: Sees Suzuho's "other" half as this and seems to get on her nerves on purpose just to have friendly matches with her.

    Falcé the Variable Wand

Falcé the Variable Wand

Voiced by: Yukari Fukui (JP)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/macademiwasshoi2_286.jpg
Also known as "Falcé the Variablewand". When Falcé is in her 'humanoid' form, she has the appearance of a tall, well endowed woman with a pair of spiraled horns on either side of her head. She has a very ditsy and naive personality, calling herself the Demon King, though she is a female. Despite this, she is incredibly powerful (Magical power estimated to be around 58,000), able to use magic even when Suzuho is in her "Midnight Blue Vampire" form. She was the last and greatest masterpiece of a powerful dark magician and alchemist who died long ago leaving her alone without even naming her. When Takuto stumbled across her chamber during a training session, Falcé took him captive. After fighting with Tanarotte and Suzuho, she was defeated. Later she returned, having accepted Takuto as her new master.
  • Contractual Genre Blindness: While playing as the Demon Lord, she made sure to fulfill the standard tropes of what a Demon Lord should and shouldn't do.
  • Mundane Utility: She uses her power to change into any object to be used as school supplies for Takuto.
  • Unfazed Everyman: Very little seems to change her reaction of blissful cheerfulness no matter what craziness happens around her.

Magician's Academy

    Eitarou Sakuma

Eitarou Sakuma

Voiced by: Takuma Terashima (JP)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/66426_1826.jpg
Described as being "Most stuff unknown Part-time teacher here and also very skilled magician." He is an easy-going teacher that helps out Takuto and Suzuho.

He is clearly a powerful magician, as shown when he easily broke the barrier that Miyabi and Sinclavier erected and even overpowered them. He is also highly knowledgeable on the use of magic, since he was able to summon a black demon lord to do his bidding. However, his personality and behavior are rather perverted, and he is an unabashed otaku, who often joins in with Professor Frankenstein perverted schemes.

  • Meaningful Name: Sakuma Eitarou, Samael.
  • Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: He is a part-time teacher, with the heavy emphasis on "part-time" as he is usually seen indulging in his hobbies and never seen teaching. Nevertheless, he seeems to have quite the bit of pull in the school as he has a huge office and regularly leads the school in times of crisis.

    Eineus the Barghest

Eineus the Barghest

Voiced by: Ayako Kawasumi (JP)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/109125_8393.jpg
Eineus is Eitarou's familiar, described as being "She is a relatively ethical character in the show." She is actually a type of demonic beast, called Barghest, and she is known to be the strongest among them all. Eitarou has her dressed up as a dog-girl maid; she is very devoted to him, but will not hesitate to harm him if he strays off because of his perverted ways, and frequently lectures him.

She is a very capable fighter, able to fight on-par with Tanarotte, with the ability to make copies of herself. She wields a weapon that is a combination of spear and broom in combat. It is hinted that she might have feelings for Takuto, as she was annoyed that he referred to her as a "mother figure", and has a picture of when they went out on their "date" stickered to her weapon.

  • Dark Horse Victory: Wins the MaU-Con despte the episode not focusing on her at all throughout it.
  • Just Friends: She clearly gets annoyed when Takuto refers to her as a "mother figure" after their "date".
  • Undying Loyalty: Despite physically harming Sakuma several times for embarrassing her, she is always by his side.

    Professor Sagami

Professor Sagami

Voiced by: Omi Minami (JP)

Described as being "Professor and also adviser of the discipline committee. He uses his "Golem" Droid Army." A child-size professor with the unique ability to separate his head from his body, which he uses to instruct his class while his body writes on the board. However this has shown to be a problem as well as they tend to separate from any attack. It is suggested that he is a possessed doll, inhabited by a tentacle eyed demon who uses magic to control both his body and his head separately. And when Suzuho takes off her ribbon, he equips an oversized AAA battery on his back to power his body.

    Professor Frankram Stein

Professor Frankram Stein

Voiced by: Nobuyuki Hiyama (JP)

A professor that is also perverted like Sakuma but is more vocal about it, even describing why girls dressed in animal cosplay are the best as one of his class lectures. To fulfill his perverted fantasies, he invented a machine called Mimigar Z uses magic to change the students of Magician's Academy into part animal and gives out animal ear headbands to his students. He reinvented the machine to the point that it doesn't rely on magic, which he called Mimigar ZZ.

  • Punny Name: His name is obviously a pun on Frankenstein.

    Trincia

Trincia

Voiced by: Akiko Kimura (JP)

Described as being "Virtual God in a PC. She works as a coach, guide and examiner for students." She appears to be a little girl in the computer system that helps students with their exams. Takuto usually calls her Trin or Torin.

    Hapsiel

Hapsiel

Voiced by: Nobuo Tobita (JP)

A mid class level 3 angel who is a masochist, pansexual, and a former teacher of the magical academy. From his appearance, he is muscular man, wearing a black/purple S&M, purple lipstick, & has halo over his head in the shape of a fused male and female sign (symbolizing that he is pansexual ), and he has 3 sets of small angel wings along his back. 20 years prior the start of the story, he was a tyrant who would give a horrible French kiss to his students, whom he adores

  • Beware the Silly Ones: He acts like a Casanova Wannabe and Lovable Sex Maniac, he also can plow through solid concrete with his face, take missiles, bullets, claws, and lasers with no damage at all, and essentially terrified a lot of the students and teachers at the academy when he showed up.
  • Combat Sadomasochist: He is a hardcore pervert who gets off on pain. Which makes him a extremely difficult person to deal with as he just gets turned on by any attack thrown at him.
  • The Dreaded: Everyone flips their shit the moment he shows up. He's not as powerful as most of the characters on this list but sheesh!
  • Extreme Omnisexual: Hapsiel doesn't really care what or who the thing in front of him is, he'll french kiss anything ranging from a golem, to a werewolf, to a little girl who sicced the golem on him in the first place!
  • Fan Disservice: In-universe and out his over-the-top and borderline criminal actions horrifies essentially everyone he comes across in his debut episode.
  • Fired Teacher: Thanks to him staying sealed up for twenty years without bothering to come out because he enjoyed it. He seems not to have realized this until he's told. He was fired long before he broke free.
  • Forgot Flanders Could Do That: One could easily forgiven to forget he is still an Angel, and will give genuine comfort to those in need.
  • Leitmotif: This guy has his own special theme song in his debut episode. It starts up whenever he recovers from an attack or just when he appears on the scene in general.
  • Macho Camp: The outfit, the muscles, the purple lipstick, the leitmotiv that pops up whenever he showed up in episode five! The fact that he french kisses everyone. He's described as 'hard gay' by one of the characters.
  • Nigh-Invulnerable: Let's count the sheer amount of things flung at him as soon as he pops up. Giant mecha robot with More Dakka? Worthless. A teacher transforms into a werewolf and tries to attack him? The claws don't even break his skin on his nipple! Gets tied up? That actually DOES work but only because he ENJOYS it! Summoning a monster which blasts Hapsiel with a laser beam that causes a Sphere of Destruction? To everyone's horror Hapsiel activates his light leaving mission control to comment that he's so durable that he doesn't need an angel shield! The only thing that stops him is being told he's fired because he spent so long being sealed up when he could've broken out at any time! This causes him to lose all motivation.
  • Personal Space Invader: He has no sense of personal space and could really care less about that.
  • Sadist Teacher: He adores his students way too much. He isn't mean or malicious to his students but forcefully french kissing them whether they want you to or not causes the characters who knew him to describe him as this.
  • Too Kinky to Torture: He loves being beaten up, tied up, sealed up, you name it he loves it.

    Dwarfs

Dwarfs

They are employed to repair the damages to the Academy, but they can be used to fix stuff in the human world as Takuto called them to fix the hole Suzuho blasted through his apartment and completely fix a city.

    Metalys

Metalys

Voiced by: Akeno Watanabe (JP)

A robotic student that is powered by magic. Because of this he is heavily affected to Suzuho's magic stealing ability. He is initially hinted to be homosexual and attracted to his friend George. However, it turns out that he is actually in love with the Midnight Blue Vampire, Suzuho's other personality, and only wanted to talk to George about his feelings. Metalys's feelings for the Midnight Blue Vampire prove to be so strong that he is willing to risk his own life to save hers. Though he discovers she has feelings for Takuto, he keeps trying to impress her though he needs to run off a separate battery system to be able to chat with her. The two seem to have at least hit up an unusual friendship, though Metalys craves more.

  • Bait-and-Switch: For several episodes it looked like he was about to confess his feelings to George, who is horrified at this, only for something to happen. It isn't until several episodes in that it is revealed he has been trying to tell George about his feelings to Blue Vampire.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: When saving Suzuho, she unconsciously calls out to Takuto. Despite being hurt by that, he still does everything he can to save her.
  • Mistaken for Gay: A lot of the school thought he had feelings for George, including George. So they were suprised when they found out he was actually in love with Suzuho's Blue Vampire side.
  • Opposites Attract: He is a Robot powered by Magic who fell in love with a woman who completely drains all the magic in the area she is in.

    George

George

Voiced by: Mitsuhiro Sakamaki (JP)

A student that is commonly seen with Metalys, yet over time he seems to be growing increasingly creeped out by Metalys' unusual attraction towards him. However, when he thinks Metalys is about to confess to him he starts to respond positively, only to find out Metalys was speaking to Suzuho, and he becomes deeply distraught.

    Mikariya Haruka

Mikariya Haruka

Agaliarept

Voiced by: Jun'ichi Suwabe (JP)

    Miyabi

Miyabi

Miyabi is The West of the Four Gods, Byakko, with long silver hair dressed in a miko outfit with the special ability to heal others through kissing. She holds the honor of being Takuto's first kiss, causing immense rage and jealously in his harem.

    Synclavier the Siren

Synclavier the Siren

Synclavier is a Demon with short red hair and a very revealing leather outfit with chains. After being defeated by Sakuma, she and Miyabi became slaves under his control and had their powers sealed. She is a very flirtatious woman that has no problems using her voluptuous body to obtain what she needs, such as seducing several students in the academy to gather information.

    Baltia

Baltia

She is a demon who is known as a fanatical bishōjo figure collector and a smuggler of goods (most are bishōjo figures) from the human world to the demon realm. She respects Sakuma Eitaro after their encounter and wouldn't go against him despite being bribed to do so by Miyabi and Synclavier, and even sold them out to Sakuma. In episode 12 she is running a shop selling anime goods. She is only seen wearing a black or dark purple cloak and in her first appearance it is suggested that she doesn't have anything else.

    Germi

Fermi

She is a masochistic maid or servant of Agaliarept, who loves to receive his punishment. She is loyal to him and was greatly concerned when she found out his huge collection of gal games (all with his name on the package - as the president of the underworld anime league). She does not appear to be hugely intelligent.

Other characters

Futaba Kirishima

Voiced by: Rina Sato (JP)

Described as being "Bright, active, and courageous yet also girly". She attends the normal school along with Takuto and is completely unaware of his magical powers. She has a strong crush on Takuto, but hides this fact. She is very surprised when she discovers that Tanarotte and Suzuho are living with Takuto. Matters become more complicated when she meets Falce at Takuto's apartment in a naked apron outfit.

Hazuki Kirishima

Voiced by: Yuuichi Ishigami (JP)

Described as being "His face is Yakuza. Attacked by his sister." He is the twin brother to his sister Futaba and knows about his sister's crush on Takuto. He always figures out ways to hint at his sister's attraction to Takuto, even though doing so causes Futaba to hit him hard (to the point his body impression is left on a stone wall). Then again, she seems to hit him after he speaks about anything.

Izumo

A gatekeeper between the Human and the Magic world that is a large stone face on the door. He allows the students into the school and many other locations as well. He has also appeared as a shield for Takuto and grown to a large size that he could transport the entire school of Magician's Academy.

Principal

The Principal of Magician's Academy. A very long time ago, there was another student at the Academy who had the same ability as Takuto to create unaligned divines. Her name was Maria, and she created one she named Jesus. She has long since died, but like all divines her created one is immortal, and now he's the Principal of Magician's Academy.

Professor Fablom

A professor that is always seen chained and hanging upside-down. It is his school uniform design that the students are currently wearing, winning the MaU-con 3 times in a row. It is never truly explained what position he has in Magician's Academy but it is suggested it might be right below the Principal.

Next-Door Neighbor

He is Takuto's, Suzuho's, Tanarott's and Falce's next door neighbor who has been identified by other inhabitants of the apartment building as 'Omuro-san's husband'; he has a young daughter who lives in the same apartment as he, and presumably his wife. His own name is never mentioned. His most noticeable feature is his large, carp-like lips. He appears to be a bit of a pervert as he enjoys listening to the suggestive antics of his neighbors. In episode 12 of the anime, it is revealed the constant mind-wipes from the dwarfs repairing the apartment have damaged his cognitive functions in a seemingly irreversible way.
