- BackToSchool: Played with. She's the oldest of the whole team (but not much, somewhere between 18 to 20 years old). She was already a MA-Vess test pilot working for IX, but they make her go through her training all over again, joining Akashi and friends, who are high school students in their first and second years. Enforced with the fact that the uniform they wear as trainees has all the appearance of an institute uniform, making her look like she's at school again.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Her to other girls. It's telling when she by "going to a date" means "hitting the basketball court with your boyfriend".

- Butt-Monkey: She's the weakest of the team, easily scared, the easiest to cry and the one with lowest performance during tests and practices.

- Self-Made Orphan: He's feared in public because he wiped out his biological family after surviving the Lightless Realm.

Aoshi Saginuma

- Heroic Sacrifice: He sacrifices first time to get back the Argent to return from Lightless Realm, and after he sacrifices to save Kasane in episode 20
- Killed Off for Real / Double Subversion In backstory Akashi believes that his brother's dead, but later he discovers that actually he became a LIM, but in episode 20 after Akashi uses the fully synchronization, Aoshi sacrifices himself to save Kasane, and dies inside the LIM.

- Mad Scientist: He has no problem to force the LIM and really he has forced the Linkers experiments with the residents from Yomijima island, killing many of them, and after that, he kills his belevoled Mimei.

- My God, What Have I Done?: After she understands that Corpse is crying for the sins.
- Necromancer: Her main power is to reborn any Corpse.
- Vapor Wear: That white nightgown is the only piece of cloth she wears. A strong wind only helps us to corroborate on this.
- Yandere She loves Akashi a lot... maybe too much.
