Main Characters
Microsoft Sam
The main character, he is also the director.- Berserk Button:
- His hatred of commercial plugs,
- Whenever someone interferes with his authority.
- Calling him a control freak.
- Stealing his laugh line is the big one.
- Joking about him having erectile dysfunction. This one's especially notable because he immediately throws a tantrum and doesn't even try to calm down.

- Character Catchphrase:
- "Places everyone! Roll camera! Cue the shield!" (to start each episode)
- "SCOTTYYYYYYYYYY" (when Scotty messes up)
- "YOOOOOOU'RE FIRED!" (whenever he fires Scotty)
- "Shut up, you asswipe!" (usually when Mike makes a remark)
- And of course his famous laugh line: "Hahahahahahahahah soi soi soi soi rofl rofl rofl rofl!"
- Control Freak:
- Dear Lord. So VERY much.
- Later episodes show that it's actually caused by a "tic controllosa". Anna and later Abby (after Anna disappeared) have taken to curing him of it using laser eyes whenever he relapses.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Sam usually does this to Scotty whenever he messes up one too many times, and sometimes to Dave for interfering.
- Expository Hairstyle Change: Beginning with Episode 221, Sam now sports a black, spikey hairstyle, which was revealed to be done by Anna herself. Notably, this was done after his control freak tendencies were dropped.
- Jerkass: Big time in the first run, especially in the 2013-2014 episodes. Averted in the second run, where he gradually Took a Level in Kindness.
- Laser-Guided Karma: All the time, usually due to his plans to take control completely failing.
- Moral Myopia: He labels his own actions against the crew as justified (sometimes responded with "Justified my ass!"), and calls their actions and retribution against him as mutiny.
- Official Couple: He and Anna make up one of them in the series.
- Prima Donna Director: Especially perpetuated by Scotty, for abusing loopholes in his commands.
- Sir Swears-a-Lot: Has seemingly become this in recent episodes.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Starting with Episode 141, Sam starts being nicer and acting more civil, and by Episode 218, he completely loses his control freak tendencies.
- When He Smiles: The few times that Sam does genuinely smile, it is actually pretty cute. Extra points if he does his signature laugh with it.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: With Mike, by mostly calling him an asswipe and threatening to convict him of perjury for denying it
Microsoft Mike
- Berserk Button: Calling him an asswipe, and flirting with Mary are excellent ways to piss him off.
- Character Catchphrase: "I'm not an asswipe, you sonofabitch!" (in response to Sam)
- Official Couple: He and Mary make up one of them.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: With Sam.
Microsoft Mary
- Berserk Button: Don't call her a bitch, or assume she's loony.
- Character Catchphrase: "They're playing my song again!" (whenever Merrie Melodies appears)
- The Cutie: To some extent.
- Official Couple: With Mike.
Microsoft Anna
Anna is Sam's girlfriend. She usually protects him when a scary logo shows up. She disappears in Episode 112 after she is abducted by an unknown force, along with LH Michael and LH Michelle.- Action Girlfriend: Oh so much.
- Badass Adorable: A beautiful 25-ish woman with laser eye powers.
- Berserk Button: Don't call her a "harlot", or make her say a bad word and then tell her to watch her language. Also, don't keep Sam away from her.
- Official Couple: With Sam.
- One Head Taller: In some earlier episodes, Anna was depicted as a head or so taller than Sam.
Lernout & Hauspie Michael
- Berserk Button: Don't call him a "wild turkey."
- Mistaken for Gay: Sam often called him a "gay boy." This died down after Episode 31.
Lernout & Hauspie Michelle
- Berserk Button: Don't call her a "lesbian harlot."
- Hair of Gold
- Mistaken for Lesbian: Sam often called her LH Michael's "lesbian sister." This ended after Episode 31.
Radar Overseer Scotty
Voiced by Tru Voice Adult Male #1 (American English)- Always Identical Twins: With Guy, although he and Guy are fraternal.
- Berserk Button: Don't fire him or he'll kill himself.
- Butt-Monkey: Sam constantly berates him for messing up the intro, he always gets fired and (occasionally) thrown out of the studio, which then triggers his Berserk Button thinking he has no point in living any more, before finally trying to commit suicide.
- Character Catchphrase:
- "Uh-oh! Methinks I goofed again!". He also tends to say "Sheesh."
- "In the words of Steve Martin: well, excuuuuuuuuuuse meee!"
- Driven to Suicide: Whenever he gets fired. In one episode, he almost got through by hanging himself, fortunately he survived.
- The Gadfly: Outside of blundering the WB shield, he can mildly annoy Sam.
- Happily Married: With Beulah as of Episode 72.
- Official Couple: He and Beulah make up one.
Jimmy
Voiced by Tru Voice Adult Male #2 (American English), Jimmy is Hank's best friend.- Berserk Button: Don't call him an asswipe and suggest he needs a head transplant.

Hank
Voiced by Tru Voice Adult Male #3 (American English), Hank is Jimmy's best friend.- Berserk Button: Don't try to frame him for something you did wrong and get him suspended for it.

Served as the Shield Guy until Episode 29. Returns in Episode 41. - Genki Girl: She certainly is energetic, but Beulah is nowhere near as cheerful as Abby.

David N. Madson
The creator of the series, he is also the producer.- Art Shift: Due to Dave being a photo, he will shift from live action to hand drawn whenever he throws a tantrum, when he vomits or gets thrown out of the studio. Also, whenever Dave expresses shock or yells, an open mouth will be drawn on him. Beginning with Episode 101, he is now completely animated to match the rest of the cast.
- Author Avatar: Starting with Episode 33.
- Berserk Button: Threatening to send the Devil and She-Devil after him, threatening to punch his lights out, trying to take over his studio or wasting his video time throwing tantrums.

Voiced by Robo-Soft 5- Fangs Are Evil: They only appear with a close-up view of her face.
- Yandere: Acts this way towards Dave.
Angela the Angel
Voiced by Robo-Soft 4- Guardian Angel: Aids the Almighty whenever the Devil and the She-Devil appear to bother davemadson's studios, and always cleans up the mess that the two of them have made with their shit.
God
Voiced by Mike in Space- Big Damn Heroes: Whenever the Devil and She-Devil appear.
- Big Good: He's framed as such in the series.
- Giving Someone the Pointer Finger: He's always depicted doing this when He's on-screen.
- God: Obviously.
- Have a Nice Death: His victory call against the Devil and She-Devil:"Sore losers, yes. Prophets, no"
- He Who Must Not Be Seen: Only His hand is ever shown on-screen.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: He was willing to let the Devil and She-Devil take Sam in Episode 59. Considering that Sam summoned them while holding Scotty and Beulah hostage, it really speaks volumes of how badly Sam screwed up for God to do that.
Officer Franklin D. Flanigan
Voiced by Speakonia Adult Male #4 in Episode 39 and again from Episode 75 on, and Speakonia Adult Male #7 from Episode 49 to Episode 72.- Alliterative Name: Played straight and Subverted; If you're going strictly by first and last name, it's played straight. If you're going by his full name, it's subverted.
- Race Lift: Originally African-American in Episode 39; changed to Caucasian in Episode 49.
Mr. W.B. Warner
Voiced by Speakonia Adult Male #6. Joined in Episode 55.- Benevolent Boss: Not to Sam, though.
- Berserk Button: He doesn't like control freaks, which explains his attitude towards Sam. And don't say "fuck you" to him, as Sam often does.
- Fun with Acronyms: His first two initials are W.B.
- Jerkass to One: He's very friendly towards most of his employees, but he's often very harsh towards Microsoft Sam. Considering that Sam's control freak tendencies frequently cause problems for the studio, it's justified.
- Not So Above It All: Often throws tantrums when trying to deal with Sam's control freak tendencies.
- Only Sane Man: Even compared with Dave.
- The Faceless: Until Episode 64.
Robo-Soft 3
The narrator for most of the episodes.- Berserk Button: Don't call a joke lame, he'll threaten to send the WB letters flying to the offender.
