Characters who have appeared in Harvest Moon: One World.
The farmer protagonists of One World, who only know the bountiful variety of crops from an old picture book they received on their birthday. They dream of travelling the world and finding many new crops and their seeds to plant.
After awakening Vitae, they are tasked with travelling and collecting the medaillons from the other harvest sprites to reawaken the Harvest Goddess.
- Canon Name: Their default names when starting the game are Ryan for the male farmer and Courtney for the female farmer.
- Cutscene Incompetence: The first time they head into the desert or icy region, they will immediately faint from heat exhaustion or hypothermia, respectively. Even if the player had just eaten a heat- or cold-resistant dish, it won't work for those cutscenes.
The descendant of Doc from the previous games, he's just as much of an enthusiastic and dedicated inventor as his relative. He's a friend of the farmer and thinks their book is nothing but a fairytale, but becomes interested when it turns out to be true.
- Ambiguously Related: Exactly what his relation to Doc in the previous games is remains unclear, whether he's his direct son or merely a relation with uncannily similar appearance.
- Cloudcuckoolander: Just as eccentric of an oddball like his ancestor.

- Gadgeteer Genius: He refines ores and material into other resources, invented a portable farm that can be placed inside of a tiny squeeze-ball (One World) or transported via mechanical bird (Winds of Anthos), and other gadgets that make farming a little easier.

- Mythology Gag: The squeeze-ball the farm can be placed inside of is shaped like Doc's head.
Bachelors
Braden runs a small ranch in the grasslands of Calisson and is frequently trailed by Elijah. He appears brusque and surly at first, but it belies a gentle heart for animals.
His birthday is Spring 19th.
- Animal Lover: He runs a ranch and was willing to sell it, so that he'd have enough money to pay Gabrielle to treat his sick animals. He has a special spot for the cow Emily, who was the first calf he ever helped birth.

- Manly Tears: He gets teary-eyed when Emily's health improves through the farmer's help.

Kanoa lives in the beach paradise of Halo Halo and works as a fisherman there, acting as the leader of the town's fishermen despite his young age. He's cheerful and laidback, sometimes to the point of obliviousness.

- Fiery Redhead: Becomes excited rather easily, especially when the farmer thinks that the sudden capsizing of a boat could be a mystery to solve.
- Oblivious to Love: He takes a while to realize he likes the farmer.

Jamil lives in the desert of the Pastilla region with his mother and helps care for the animals of her shop. He's a kind and thoughtful young man that can sometimes worry about small things that make him blind to the bigger picture.
His birthday is Summer 3rd.
- Animal Lover: He loves the animals he cares for at the shop and was focused on saving the wild ones during the forest fire, sad that they lost their natural habitat.
- Does Not Like Spam: Tuna Carpaccio.
- Navel-Deep Neckline: His attire is loosely tied in front, showing off quite a bit of his chest. Easy to miss due to the shawl around his neck.
- Ocular Gushers: His crying expression has him cry streams of tears.

Tristan runs the bakery alongside his sister in the mountains of Lebkuchen. He's a hard worker and desperately wishes to make bread delicious enough to carry on his father's name, but tends to also keep his true feelings inside.
His birthday is Spring 9th.

- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: He's more serious next to Laura, who has a slightly ditzy personality even outside of her memory issues.

- Tsundere: He's a mildly spicy type because he keeps his own feelings generally hidden to avoid making trouble for his sister or his deceased father, but quickly plays things off when he does reveal more than he wants.
Sami is the de-facto leader of the icy Salmiakki region, a position he takes very seriously and struggles to fulfill with the harsh conditions of the place.

- Forest Ranger: Performs this job alongside his duties as the region's leader by patroling the cold paths, and is the one to find the farmer when they first enter Salmiakki.

- Sharp-Dressed Man: Wears a waistcoat, coupled with a red cravat and long overcoat. Befitting the responsible position of the leader.

Shogen lives in the village of Wagashi as a lonely samurai, according to his own words. He's courageous and enthusiastic to a fault during the daytime, but becomes fearful at night.
His birthday is Fall 1st.
- Cowardly Lion: He's afraid of the dark and overall very self-conscious about going to unknown places, but considers this a shame for a samurai like him. He is willing to go out of his comfort zone, as he intends to move past his issues.

- Slipknot Ponytail: He keeps his long hair tied in a basic ponytail, common for a samurai.

Bachelorettes
Gabrielle works on the outskirts of the grasslands of Calisson and the only veterinarian around, if not the only one with proper medical training. She's blunt and aloof to people, but she's actually rather kind.
Her birthday is Fall 20th.
- Better with Non-Human Company: She doesn't interact with the people in Calisson unless absolutely necessary and prefers to live with her cat.
- Does Not Like Spam: Banana Pie.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She certainly appears to be unfriendly and seems to charge steep prices for her veterinary treatments, but she does love animals and is willing to help them get treatment for free by handing over the medicine and simply having it applied by other people.
- Nonconformist Dyed Hair: She has long blonde hair with the inner layers dyed a hot pink, along with a pink streak in her bangs.
- Not a Morning Person: She doesn't like being up early and the player can't even go visit her until she's up sometime in the evening.
- The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: She's said to be a veterinarian, but outside of handing the player animal medicine for Emily during the Calisson events very early on, she doesn't seem to do her job very often. One villager even notes he's never seen her actually treat animals.
Ahina lives in the beach paradise of Halo Halo and helps out Holokai in his restaurant. She's an upbeat young woman with a can-do attitude and excited to try out new dishes.
Her birthday is Spring 28th.

Malika lives in a tent in the desert Pastilla region, far outside of the town. She loves animals and flowers, and often plays her flute in her freetime. She refuses to move back into the town.

- Your Tradition Is Not Mine: She left the town because she was against the strict adherence to tradition as her father insisted, with Malika even saying that this way of tradition meant they completely forgot the meaning of the town's original sayings regarding outsiders and the tree forest.
Laura works alongside her brother in a bakery in the mountains of Lebkuchen. She's sweet and a little ditzy, with an unfortunate memory that can make life hard on her.
Her birthday is Winter 4th.

- Stepford Smiler: Despite not remembering things and having to be reminded of them every day, she still keeps a smile on her face so she won't bother her brother.

- Trauma-Induced Amnesia: She was so overcome with sorrow at her father's funeral that she lost the ability to make new memories. She can't remember what happened day to day since, resulting in Tristan reminding her every day.
Kirsi lives in the icy region of Salmiakki and works as an archeologists, as well as teaching the children of the town. She has a very logical way of approaching things in life, which can make her come across as uncaring, but she's quite warmhearted.
Her birthday is Summer 14th.

Vitae
The first harvest sprite awoken in the introduction. She's the one that tasks the farmer with travelling the world and reawakening the Harvest Goddess.

- Meaningful Name: Vitae is Latin for 'life' and she's the first harvest sprite awoken, after the player brings 'life' back into the soil by planting a seed and growing it into a crop. She also gives the Medaillon Of Life.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: She's a pink-haired sprite and an adorable, friendly sprite.
- Spirit Advisor: Her main role is to provide the player with some helpful tips and guide them on what they might need to do to awaken the harvest sprites and goddess.

Soli
The harvest sprite of the Calisson region.
