X- 1 Alpha
"Remember, kid; Serve, Protect, Survive.
The primary character of the game, X-1 Alpha is a LAPD-service mecha that is used to control the streets. Armed with missiles, mines, gattling lasers, miniguns, grenade launchers, mortar launchers, torpedoes, a riot shield, concussion beam, K-9 drone, plasma flares, shockwave generator, the ability to turn into a hovercraft and a flamethrower, and is only deployed in Code Red situations. First starting in Griffith Park, X-1 Alpha would later get to travel to Venice Beach, the LAX and Long Beach (all on the same day).X-1 Alpha is an example of the following tropes:
- Angry Guard Dog: K-9 Robo Drones are literally flying robot dogs.
- Chicken Walker: Fits the bill pretty well.
- Gatling Good: Has miniguns mounted on it's cockpit. Also, what is even better than a gatling gun? A gatling laser!
- Deflector Shields: Both in weapon form and perma-mounted as the Health Bar. The weapon form must be found first; it creates a front or - if upgraded - bubble around X-1 Alpha to protect it from harm and can also be used to incinerate enemies touching it.
- Humongous Mecha: Obviously.
- Kill It with Fire: Also has a flamethrower.
- Impossibly Graceful Giant: Even if it's not all that big by mecha standards, it's still at least as tall as a Tyrannosaurus, and it has a crapton of weapons, to boot.
- Instant Awesome: Just Add Mecha!: Obviously.
- More Dakka: As mentioned above, X-1 Alpha has a lot of weapons.
- Transforming Mecha: Can alternate between a walker mode for combat situations and a vehicle mode for pursuit situations.
