Starter Characters

    Moose Salto

"You can call me... Moose!"
Portrayed by: Estelle Son

A confident and playful moose with tons of energy and spunk.

Their personality card is "Power Legs", which grants them the ability to double jump.

  • An Arm and a Leg: The intro for the game shows their leg getting shot off by Spike with an Albatross 21.
  • Double Jump: Their speciality, allowing them to traverse the map much more easily and evade more shots.
  • Shotguns Are Just Better: They lean on the Boomstick in their idle animation and character screen.

    Duck Anderson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_xkqglyqyjb.png
"Duck Anderson, at your service."
Portrayed by: Adam Diggle

A laid-back, fun-loving duck who (according to rumor) is a relative of the Mayor.

Their personality card is "It's Medicinal", which allows them to start each round with a unique healing item called the Green Herb.

  • The Stoner: Probably the most chill character in the cast and going off the name of their personality card and the item they receive from it, smokes.
  • The Cameo: The end of Raver's Rumble reveals that all the trouble Myk had caused was for a birthday present for Duck Anderson. Duck's silhoutte appears in the end and Myk spells out Anderson's first name in giant letters throughout the city.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": They're a yellow-feathered stoner duck whose first name is "Duck".

    DJ Newton
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_wsegddiop0.png
"Beats by DJ Newton."
Portrayed by: Jenna Sharpe

A master of both remixes and headshots, DJ Newton's accuracy isn't to be tested.

Their personality card is "Reading Glasses", which increases their accuracy, allowing them to land more shots on their opponents.

  • Friendly Sniper: Carries the Albatross 21 on their back and is a master of sharpshooting, but even when fighting to the death, they still take some time to make friendly quips at the opposition.
  • Nerdy Nasalness: They have a slightly nasally voice to go with their reading glasses.

    Spike Remington
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_xmu5gm7zjg.png
"Spike Remington's the name! Making friends, is the game."
Portrayed by: Kris Laudrum

The lead guitarist and singer of a local band with a fondness for food and sleeping during the day, Spike brings the hurt to the battle.

Their personality card is "Big Bullets", which increases the damage they do with their firearms.

  • Gun Twirling: Spins two revolvers in their hands during their menu idle.
  • Meaningful Name: Their last name is Remington, which fits for someone with a personality card all about increasing the damage of guns.
  • The Night Owl: Their character description states that they stay up late and sleep during the day.
  • Revolvers Are Just Better: Dual wields two Laika revolvers in their idle animation and lobby, fittingly so for the character that can (potentially) deal the most damage out of the main cast.

Unlockable Characters

    Stevie Gull
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_8pioj5crol.png
"Mr. Gull is my father's name! Call me Stevie."
Portrayed by: Greg Jones

A hard-working fisher with (ironically) a longing desire for peace and solitude. They are unlocked after reaching Level 3.

Their personality card is "Classic", which swaps their starting pistol for the Golden Boira at the start of each round.

    Donnie B.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_bxvwzvb3sb.png
"Mmmhmm! That's me... Donnie B."
Portrayed by: Carolina Hoyos

A badass Dobermann who is also a volunteer Sheriff's deputy on the weekends, they put the B in Badass. They are unlocked after reaching Level 6.

Their personality card is "Badass", which gives them a higher maximum health than the other characters.

  • Jack of All Trades: While most characters have personality cards that generally lean into one or more synergy types with cards (i.e. Spike synergizing well with weapon cards and damage upgrades to be more offensive), Dobbie's simple base health increase allows them to benefit from all cards equally.

    Myk Raver
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_glnveql2gx.png
"Myk. Has. Arrived!"
Portrayed by: Kay Eluvian

The living embodiment of "that one character who aims a gun at someone they're talking to beneath the table". They are unlocked after reaching Level 9.

Their personality card is "Brasslover", which swaps their starting pistol for the Brasshopper at the start of each round.

  • Day in the Limelight: They star in their own game called "Raver's Rumble", which can be played on Itch.io here.
  • Hidden Depths: While the intro, Raver's Rumble and even their personality card show them to be a troublemaking punk, the ending to Raver's Rumble does show that despite all that, they're a pretty good friend. Especially since all that vandalism they had done throughout the city is actually for Duck Anderson's birthday!
  • Weapon-Based Characterization: Myk's weapon of choice is the Brasshopper, a silenced submachine gun akin to the MAC-10/Mini-Uzi. The way it's shown in their personality card displays them as a rather untrustworthy and underhanded character.

    Little Lars
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_geqwxggbpo.png
"Little Lars, shooting for the stars!"
Portrayed by: Adam Diggle

Don't let this polar bear's cuddly appearance trick you, for Little Lars is a professional at handling explosives. They are unlocked at Level 12.

Their personality card is "Thick Coat", which tremendously reduces all incoming damage from explosives.

  • Bears Are Bad News: A cute, cuddly polar bear who is more than willing to blow you to smithereens while completely ignoring your own.
  • Demolitions Expert: Is stated to be proficient in handling explosives, and apparently honed their craft as an expert bomb defuser in a past life. Their idle animation also shows them holding the Punch-R grenade launcher.
  • It Was a Gift: Their coat was sewed by their mother for their 14th birthday, and they still wear it into their adulthood after she's passed away.
  • Otaku: In their diary, after the six year timeskip, they write about watching various anime and even teaching their mom some Japanese. Their drawings in the diary even have some anime influence. After the nine year timeskip, the style of the doodles change to a more different colorful style, but they still talk about manga when bringing up meeting Spike and the rest of their friends.
  • Shout-Out: Their name and species seems to be one to Lars, the protagonist of The Little Polar Bear.

    Sable Santana
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_j66nwwjqyx.png
"Sable Santana. Kicking it into gear."
Portrayed by: Itxaso Moreno

A racing legend with a vintage bike they've been repairing overtime, Sable is also friends with Spike and plays bass in their band when they're in town. They are unlocked at Level 16.

Their personality card is "Katana Lover", which swaps their starting pistol for the Katana at the start of each round.

  • Achilles' Heel: Fast-moving and evasive opponents. Since they need to get close to attack with their katana, if the opponent uses a movement-speed increasing card or Double Jump, they can easily run away and pelt Sable with bullets while they are unable to catch up and attack. This makes Moose and Haru effectively hard-counters to Sable.
  • Badass Biker: A biking legend that can easily cut down their opponents.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Their main weapon of choice, which they stand at the ready with in their idle animation.

    Haru
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friends_vs_friends_ecwfood6sa.png
"It's Haru season!"
Portrayed by: Stephanie Komure

A hare with a penchant for speed. If you've ever heard of the Hare and the Tortoise, don't believe it. They beat that tortoise by over a mile. They are unlocked at Level 20.

Their personality card is "Runner", which increases their base movement speed.

  • Super-Speed: Their personality card and synergies encourage moving around as fast as possible, allowing you to quickly traverse the map and either get the jump on the enemy or dodge their bullets.
