Appletart Longshot

Paladin Appletart Longshot

The protagonist of Fallout Equestria: Broken Steel. Appletart grew up in Stable 88, which was designed as a control stable and supposed to be able to sustain it's population for at least one thousand years. She was constantly bullied by her peers because her albino appearance. Her Stable was attacked by Raiders and Appletart was forced into a panic room, within the Overmare's office by her mother, Blueberry Muffin. The entire Stable population was slaughtered, including her mother. She swore vengeance against the Raiders and went out to the wasteland to hunt down every single one of them. She attracted the attention of Seargent Nightingale of the Steel Rangers and decided to join them. Appletart excelled in firing tests, earning her Cutie Mark. Appletart served with the Rangers for the next couple of years, eventually attaining the rank of Paladin. Appletart became skeptical and disillusioned with the Rangers goals and morals until Appletart and Seargent Nightingale were on patrol. They witness a Raider raping a mare, Nightingale promptly dispatches the Raider and then kills the mare as well. Enraged, Appletart kills Nightingale and sent a message back to the Pondale Rangers, declaring her desertion.

• An Arm and a Leg: Loses her arm to an Ursa Minor trap.
• The Atoner: Becomes this because the horrible deeds she performed for the Pondale Steel Rangers.
• Berserk Button: Raiders. She sees at least one, she'll go trigger happy.

Zyon

One of her close friends, Zyon was saved by Appletart from the burning wreckage of Kodiak II. He is a zony (half pony, half zebra).

Sky Fire

A Pegasus born in Stable 108, originally an Enclave field medic. She escaped the Stable when Motor Runner and his Raiders attacked. She met Zyon and Appletart and has been following them, becoming fast friends. She and her team were captured by a group of ghouls and made to fight in an arena for sport against feral ghouls. Of particular note, was a ghoul Reaver which proved extremely tough and resilient. The creature was eventually bested at the cost of Sky Fire's leader, Lieutenant Star Scream.Sky Fire would later fly to Stable 108 seeking shelter, a mistake on her part as the cloned residents grabbed her and killed her, feeding her DNA into a genetic cloning machine. The machine created a fully grown replica of Rainbow Dash, using her DNA and fresh samples of Sky Fire's DNA.
