    Elysion

The Nasod supervising the Atlas Station that supplies Diceon to Elysion City. He is with a Nasod drone named Nono.

  • Accidental Pervert: Or more like innocent. At the beginning of Elysion arc, he met the El Search Party and out of curiosity of seeing flesh-and-blood humans for the first time, he inspected Ara and touched her skin and "soft parts". He got slapped by Eve.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: He sacrificed himself to be able to send the El Search Party to Elysion City.
  • Robot Buddy: Nono. Yuno created him so he won't be alone in Atlas Station.

Solace

"What do you stand for? Show me."

The El Master of the Sun and the one who drives the story behind both Atlas Region and Elysion. He intends to recreate the world where the El didn't exist.

  • The Ace: He had a lot of potential to be a possible candidate to become an El Master even though his older siblings really didn't see him as a worthy option. It couldn't be any more true to be an Ace if you were able to overcome every single person, obstacle and being that threw themselves in your way while you were trying to rescue a person you cared for.
  • Arc Villain: He's this for the entire Elysion story as the entire El Team (including Ain) as well as Rose (in her own story) now have a driving reason to put a stop to his plans.
  • Big Bad: Well, Solace is the cause for most of the events that took place in the whole story of Atlas Region and Elysion up to date even though he really isn't as bad as he seems. He originally gave up on trying to convince his best childhood friend, Hernia who became the current El Lady from leaving her mission to protect the El upon realizing that there was no way he could achieve that dream of his. When his plan starts up without his consent, he freaks out and tries to save the El Lady from reaching the El but gets slowed down by every other El Master and the royal guards who are stationed to stop intruders, mainly Denif who really doesn't understand what his fellow El Master is trying to do and thinks he (Solace) has gone insane and orders the El Tower's magical defense system to stop Solace. By the time he reaches Hernia, he only has a few minutes to speak before the Giant El literally explodes causing Hernia to suffer from a serious Heroic BSoD which wasn't her fault. He then takes the unconscious El Lady away from everyone else to keep her safe while he works on a new plan to recreate a new Giant El to severe the connection between those that serve it and the El itself. This plan of his is what causes everyone in the El Team which now consists of Ain and it also makes Rose herself very much wary that his plans aren't going to lead to a happy ending as Solace wishes.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Performs this three times for the El Team. The first time happens when Elsword decides to make his own decision which so happens to be neither of the two options that Solace mentioned. Elsword reactivates the main El and reunites it back to normal which both causes Elrianode to return but as a downside, causes him to be absorbed into the El. Solace sees Elsword's decision as quite reckless and thoughtless and injects the El with Dicetium to stabilize it long enough for the El Team to rescue Elsword before he actually disappears. He then reappears when the El Team are fighting off Henir monsters in Elrianode, saving the team by single-handedly curbstomping the swarm with relative ease when they are struggling. Though this time, he was actually searching for them since he has some rather unfortunate news. His currently last performance of this trope is when he chooses to defend the area they are currently in from any further enemy swarms while the El Team tries to find the culprit behind the enemy invasion even though everyone present deems said action as extremely hazardous.
  • Curbstomp Battle: ...yikes. While it's required to defeat Solace in his first debut (Solace's Fortress) to complete the dungeon and to finish the story quests related to it, in the Story near the end in that place, even with every single member of the El Team fighting him, Solace is still unfazed and comes out unharmed. He inflicts one insane one-sided battle onto the entire El Team and defeats them by himself. This is also closely accurate to how Solace is his first boss appearance is one of the strongest bosses in the game due to how mechanics operate in his scenario. He's also able to invoke this same trope in his second appearance as an enemy boss with one of his attacks which can't be mana broken should those who get hit by that attack not heal while taking damage.
  • Fallen Hero: He's mostly this, strictly and literally speaking. While his actions cause others to see him as evil, Solace is actually very much shaken at what has happened in his past. He wants to spend time with the current El Lady who is actually his childhood friend but since she's unable to wake up from her coma until the El is restored, he intends to recreate a new El and to severe her connection to it so she doesn't have to feel obligated to serve the El above all else.
  • Flash Step: Invokes this during both of his boss fights and it's annoying to defeat him thanks in little time thanks to this trope. Solace is capable of stepping out of any attack at any given moment, even out of attacks that regular enemies, most bosses and even every player naturally can't escape from. He can use this trope to escape from attacks while he's stunned (this naturally prevents nearly every being both players and enemies alike from escaping as you can't move while being stunned heavily and being stunned heavily prevents players from mana breaking), attacks that would freeze him (with the Freeze status) or any skill with a long delay frame (normally when a Special Active and most Hyper Actives are used, the screen dims down and any enemy who can see what you are doing is unable to move until the skill's animations comes to an end or is canceled). Even skills that literally drag enemies to your side can't stop him from flashstepping away from you before he tries to attack. He also uses this trope to reach a random player on the screen in order to attack them and it's either shown visibly to that player by a glowing aura surrounding them before it explodes and stuns said victim for a few seconds or he suddenly appears near his target without a warning and strikes making it hard to guess who he's going to attack next if you're in a team.
  • Good Is Not Soft: In the story cutscenes, Solace is more than willing to strike down or fight anyone or anything that threatens Hernia (even when she becomes the El Lady). When he fights his older brother when the two of them are arguing over her, after Hernia distracts Sigmund from landing the final blow on him, Solace kills his older brother in the final moment. Later on when Solace, now as the El Master of the Sun, realizes that his original plans have somehow started up without a warning, fights his way through everyone that tries to stop him and succeeds only to have a few minutes to speak to the El Lady before the El explodes.
  • Light Is Good: He is actually deep inside a very kind and compassionate human just like Elsword despite how he comes across. His powers were actually meant to help keep everyone on Elrios alive. In his second appearance, most of his combat dialogue to you (and your allies if you're in a team) come off as rather hopeful seeing that he hopes that you'll make the right decision on your own without being swayed by outside factors such as those around you than anything remotely threatening. Solace was never truly antagonistic in his past as everything he did was out of devotion to his childhood friend, Hernia who later became the current El Lady. However..
  • Light Is Not Good: This is how the entire El Team (which includes Ain) and how Rose see him initially and so far only Elsword during the final events of the game realizes that Solace isn't actually evil at all but just very conflicted.
  • Not Me This Time: The events when the main El shattered in the past are blamed on him, well, so far the El Team (and Rose) as well as most of the other El Masters blame him for causing the incident. It wasn't his fault at all. After hearing his story, the El Team comes to realize that he wasn't at fault and forgive him but El Master Denif still refuses to believe that Solace was innocent which is ironic due to that Denif himself answered the question of who was behind the main El's explosion.
  • Sadistic Choice: Ouch. He delivers one very painful one to Elsword during the ending of the story where the two of them are alone in Solace's past memories. Either accept Solace's mission of recreating the El to severe the connection of those who are fated to serve it above all else and then remove the El from existence or allow the events of the current time to continue which will resume with Elesis becoming the next El Lady when the time comes. Elsword berates Solace for the first option since he knows that without the El, nothing can survive. However, since Elsword loves his older sister without a doubt, he doesn't want to lose her either. This slams at full force when this decision alone determines what will happen in the future events. Slightly toned down though since the spirits of all his companions (including his older sister Elesis who are still physically in the world of the current time) all show up to tell him that they are always with him and will always support him no matter what option he chooses meaning that he is not alone.
  • Sword Beam: The most extreme version of Wave-Motion Gun in this game used by boss who uses a weapon. In his final appearance as a boss, one of two strongest attacks consist of him teleporting to one of the two sides of the stage and taking in an insane amount of power indicated by the air blowing in the direction the blast will travel (opposite direction of where he's currently standing). He then releases the accumulated power into a blast that hits dangerously hard.
  • Sympathy for the Hero: Shows (in the story at least) that he feels very sorry for Elesis who is destined to become the next El Lady. When he sees the amount of suffering she's dealing with, Solace tells Elsword on what will happen. He clearly doesn't want the similar events to come true.
  • Taste of Power: While not playable, Adrian who is the creator of the Nasods mentions that when Solace returned to Elysion, he (Solace) effortlessly destroyed an entire meteor shower that was going to strike Elysion with a fraction of his power. It's not mentioned if Solace was trying his hardest or not since all that was given besides that is that Solace had returned to Elysion with the unconscious El Lady. However, given that he is the El Master of the Sun, this should be taken as a given.
