Main Characters
Naysilla
The protagonist and a worker at the Rainbow Hotel. After encountering someone encased in ice, she finds a note describing an elevator ritual. She performs it and then finds herself thrust into a version of the hotel overrun by monsters.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Her going back to her time with the monster-fication formula stain on her shirt, then ending up in the hospital, is what led to the doctor Kumozoru discovering the formula and deciding to use it to turn people into monsters in the first place.
Ms. Roselyn
The manager of the Rainbow Hotel.
- Unwitting Pawn: To Kumozoru, who manipulated her into allowing him to use his formula on the hotel customers in exchange for much-needed money to keep the hotel running.
Mrs. Goldie
A strange woman encountered by Nay in the hotel, and one of the few monsters to retain her senses. She lost her memory of who she was, with Mrs. Goldie being an alias.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: She is primarily called Mrs. Goldie, and we never do find out her real identity.
Mrs. Blue
A girl who is Mrs. Goldie's friend.
- Cute Monster Girl: She is a victim of the formula, but unlike the others is sleeping and retains her sanity. Even when she becomes a mermaid monster, she is still cute.
- Face–Monster Turn: She briefly gives in to the formula and becomes a mermaid boss.
Professor Kumozoru
- Big Bad: He created the formula that turned everyone in the Rainbow Hotel into monsters and is the last enemy Naysilla must fight to escape, with the recurring Skeleton Man being The Dragon to him.
- Evilutionary Biologist: He created a formula to turn people into monsters under the belief that it is the next stage in human evolution.
- Final Boss: The last boss in the game that Nay must defeat to get back the generator key.
- Giant Spider: Becomes one after his own transformation into a monster.
- Mad Scientist: He created a formula specifically to turn people into monsters, believing it to be the next stage in evolution, and tricks the Rainbow Hotel staff into letting him test it out on them and their customers.
- Professor Guinea Pig: Unintentional example; he gets hit with his own transformation formula when Ms. Rozelyn, furious that he tricked her into letting him test it on innocent people, throws it at him, turning him into a Giant Spider.
