RED Spy (Philippe Vidal)
- Affectionate Nickname: Is called "Phil" by Sniper most of the time whenever they're alone. It grates, at first, but then it grows on him.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Was a Holocaust survivor and lost his two younger brothers in the process.
- Mistaken for Gay: During his stay in Sniper's home in I'll Be Home for the Holidays, Sniper's Dad suspected that he must've been gay due to him being "too flamboyant", Sniper just scoffed at this and said that he was "just French".
- Parental Substitute: Unwillingly when Scout was temporarily turned into a child.
RED Sniper (Lawrence Octavius Mundy)
The closest we have to a "main deuteragonist".
- Affectionate Nickname: Defied. His former brother-in-law Jack calls him "Larry", which makes him seethe. That Spy calls him "Lawrence" is a mark of respect and friendship. On the other hand, played straight with his sister Elizabeth, who calls him "'Rence".
- The Heart: The Viper identifies him as such to Gray Mann: "Kill him and the rest will crumple."
- Mistaken for Gay: By his parents. Dotty Mundy is nothing but supportive, Lawrence Mundy Sr. is decidedly not.
