Team Oboro
A genin team consisting of Oboro, Mubi, and Kagari.
- Crippling Overspecialization: They're only really viable in ambushes. When they fail to surprise their enemies, or are forced into a frontal assault, they go down really quickly.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Their first fight with Team 7 ends up this way.
- It's Personal: Team Oboro comes to seriously dislike Team 7 after they lose sensei (Aoi). They originally thought that he was killed, and aren't exactly relieved to learn that he was captured instead.
- Master of Illusion: The team uses Haze Clones to confuse their opponents and whittle down their stamina before going in for the kill.
- Squishy Wizard: All the members seem to be weak in taijutsu. As such, when their ninjutsu and genjutsu fail, they've got nothing left to go on.
Aoi Rokusho
A missing nin from the Hidden Leaf who joined the Hidden Rain. He is also the jounin leader of Team Oboro.
- Berserk Button: He doesn't like being reminded that he was only a chunin in Konoha.
- Boisterous Weakling: He talked a big game but couldn't deliver in actual combat.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Shikako and Sasuke defeat Aoi by tricking him into electrocuting himself with his own weapon.
- I Shall Taunt You: His entire strategy is to insult his opponents so that they get reckless and make mistakes he can capitalize on. Ironically, he is very susceptible to this very tactic.
- Laser Sword: He stole the Sword of the Thunder God, which is probably how he was let in Hidden Rain. He loses it to Shikako.
- Shock and Awe: Is capable of firing off lightning with the Sword of the Thunder God.
- Sleeping Their Way to the Top: Shikako accuses him of doing this when taunting him.
- Smug Snake: The Sword of the Thunder God was the only thing letting him keep up with Sasuke and Shikako. He lost the moment his overreliance on it was used against him.
- Spared by the Adaptation: He's captured instead of being killed like in the anime.
Hanzo
The former leader of the Hidden Rain Village.
- The Dreaded: He was this to the other villages due to his skills as a ninja. As such, when people find out that he was overthrown, with it not even being made public knowledge despite his fame/infamy, they are surprised.
- The Ghost: He's mentioned, but as he is dead he won't be appearing in the story.
