    Caldwell Tanner
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cald.png
The Drawfather.
  • Commuting on a Bus: Caldwell left the show to pursue a career as a storyboard artist at Disney, but occasionally returns for individual episodes.
  • Iconic Outfit: While never shown on the show itself, one episode discusses that for a long time, Caldwell always wore a tweed jacket, large rounded glasses, and a bowtie to work, as well as a hat. Jacob even says he has a "very bowtie personality".
  • Unlimited Wardrobe: Got some notoriety for wearing different outfits in every episode of Season Three of Drawga (the only season with live-action segments.) While this is common in game shows, none of the other players did the same thing! note

    Nathan Yaffe
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nathan_68.png
The big boss man.
  • Friend to All Living Things: One of Nathan's catchphrases is "Look at this friend", which he uses to describe almost any non-human creature that does not look immediately hostile.
  • The Hermit: Parodied on streams. While the other hosts have decent home streaming rigs and equipment, and decent lighting, Nathan's set up makes him look like a cave dweller reaching the surface for the first time. His camera is so close to him and angled so awkwardly that he looks pale, gaunt, and his nose looks huge. Believe us, he's more handsome than he looks on streams.
  • Most Wonderful Sound: Much of the fandom is enamored with the sound of Nathan's laughter. A compilation is available here. There was also an entire episode dedicated to making Nathan go "awww!"
  • Nice Guy: Nathan is almost physically incapable of being the slightest bit mean. In the FMA/Gravity Falls episode of The Style Mash-up Challenge, he, Jacob and Julia take turns mockingly imitating each other, and he just ends up complimenting both of them.
  • The Stoner: Nathan is a big fan of the devil's grass.
Caldwell: If you smoke it even once, you go to hell.
Nathan: And I have smoked it even once.

    Jacob Andrews
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/download_3_46.png
The resident bad boy.
  • Becoming the Mask: Downplayed, but when he dyed his hair blonde, got earrings and started to bulk up, viewers questioned half-seriously if he was getting Lost in Character as York.
  • Butt-Monkey: If Jacob is leading the prompts for videos, it's very likely that he'll become the butt of jokes from the other three hosts. Here's a compilation of it.
  • Color Blind Confusion: In a Drawfee Extra VOD, Jacob stated that due to his colorblindness, in terms of coloring, he has to remember color positions in the art applications he uses because he tends to unwittingly go towards green when coloring yellow.
  • Ironically Disabled Artist: He is colourblind despite being an artist.
  • Only Six Faces:
    • The "Jacob bean", i.e. a distinctive bean shape he tends to draw characters' heads in, similar to the styles of multiple cartoons with similar elements.
    • He tends to draw horses as sock puppets, which has become a signature of his.
  • Scary Flashlight Face: His alternative, "evil" portrait is underlit with an eerie greenish glow.
  • Shipper on Deck: Whenever two hot male characters are drawn in the same episode, Jacob will eagerly ship them together as a couple. This resulted in Schmidt and Nando becoming an official couple and becoming the Karina comic Hot Guy P.I.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: None of the hosts are averse to using adult language, but Jacob drops many more F-bombs than the others.
  • Take That!: Has voiced a number of hard-hitting opinions over the years, such as "nothing should live underground", or "an oboe is a clarinet for idiots". A compilation is available here.
  • Team Dad: Between 2021 and 2023, Jacob's persona by and large shifted from shifted from "bad boy" to "tired dad". The other hosts would routinely gang up on him, especially to derail the episode intros. His two avatars from this era also lack "evil" variants.
    • It's best exemplified here, where the animation is noted as capturing "Jacob’s true persona of 'a tired substitute teacher'" in the comments in addition to "dad being ganged up on by his children".
  • Token Evil Teammate:
    • Jacob is the only one of the hosts whose avatar has an evil version. In challenges where the hosts have to draw alternate versions of themselves, his characters tend to have a more sinister vibe: his Pokemon gymsona is a juvenile delinquent, and his fursona is a hyena with a skull in his hand.
    • After his Team Dad era, his 2023-2024 avatar slides back into this by having a sly smirk as its default expression.

    Julia Lepetit
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/julia_86.png
And she's the lasagna.
  • The Ace: While everyone in Drawfee are professional artists and as such quite skilled, Julia has a talent for learning things on the fly and making it look as though she always knew how to do it, examples including her learning Blender in the "Artists Draw Themselves into ther Favourite Animes" episode and learning a new painting style in the "Artists Recreate Childhood Drawings" episode.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: In three separate challenges, Julia has to draw Spheal or its evolved form and she never realizes that it's the same pokemon, resulting in bizarre and completely unique forms.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: In pretty much any episode, Julia can be expected to do something completely unexpected and off the wall. That being said, her skills and dedication to art are unquestionable, often leaving the other hosts in awe.
  • Catchphrase: "There it is!" (after making a pun)
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: By her own admission and by deed. Julia's part is to take the episodes to outlandish interpretations, weird logical tangents, and focusing on the wrong thing while drawing... all while shining as an artist. She's usually the last artist in every episode, a place reserved for her to take it to where no one expects.
Julia: I wonder how similar me and Karina's ideas were, 'cause I pictured something immediately.
    Karina: Yeah, same.
Jacob: I'm gonna say, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say whatever Julia pictured immediately is not what any other living human being pictured.
  • The Comically Serious: Don't let her flat affect, Iron Lady face and serious demeanor fool you. Girl's got a party in her head.
  • Creator Thumbprint:
    • A frequent motif in Julia's art is large ominous eyes, eyes where there shouldn't be eyes or way too many eyes.
    • When prompted to draw a character, she'll draw a background.
    • Her fellow artists note that Julia can turn any prompt into a handsome, sad, angular man with a high collared coat.
    • Vampires.
  • The Gadfly: Julia is a considerably goofier person than what her somewhat serious demeanor may suggest. This bleeds into her drawings, as she relishes on going through routes that will make her co-hosts roll their eyes back in frustration.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Most of her avatars (save for the 2022-2023 version) depict her as a human partially cloaked in unnatural shadow. Her 2023-2024 avatar would throw out the Humanoid part in favor of a full-blown ghost.
  • Loving Bully: Ever since Jacob and Julia became an item, she's dedicated a great part of their Secret Sleepover Society streams coyly messing with him.
  • Verbal Tic: She'll stretch out Nathan's name when introducing him (Naaaay-than). And usually repeats it a few times before continuing.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: While Julia's generally agreed to be a stellar artist in terms of technical draftsmanship, skill adaptability, and creativity, she has (by her own admission and even that of her colleagues) a notorious blind spot for recalling cartoon characters from memory. It eventually reached a point where she hosted a whole episode specifically about this called "Guess What Cartoon Character Julia is Drawing, I Dare You."

    Karina Farek
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/karina_9.png
The Mayor of Digimon.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Karina is the youngest of the artists and even though the difference isn't large it occasionally shows in some her not getting references from when she was too young to have experienced them in context. However, Karina has made it very clear on her twitter that she despises being treated this way by the fans.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Karina is by far the most soft-spoken of the group, who loves catgirls and refers to anything small as "baby". That being said, arguably her most well-known moment is from an early appearance in Drawing The Most Handsome Man, where she whispered "I'll kill you" to Julia (in jest, obviously). Her artist avatar also has a knife hidden below the bottom edge of the screen.
    • She is also the most up-front and aggressive when it comes to her boundaries on twitter. Karina makes it very clear she loathes parasocial relationships and will block anyone who toes that line with her.
  • Catchphrase: "I'm not a gamer" / "I don't consume media".
  • The Cutie: Karina is known for the sweet affect of her voice, though this comes at a hilarious price (see Beware the Nice Ones).
  • Dissonant Serenity: Karina's (playful) threats do not sound like actual threats.
  • Fangirl: Karina is a die-hard fan of both Yu-Gi-Oh! and Digimon, and tends to host episodes featuring those franchises. She even convinced the rest of the Drawfee team to devote an entire episode to her crush Seto Kaiba.
  • Popcultural Osmosis Failure: As Karina often reminds everyone, she doesn't consume media. This leads to frequent discussions where she has no idea who or what is being discussed.
  • Shout-Out: Karina likes to give "shout-outs" to any particular group of people the hosts are talking about at the moment. Given the randomness of the show, these can get pretty confusing out of context.
Karina: Shout out to oboe players who eat wet cat food!
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: A one-sided version with Jacob; when the crew gangs up to bully Jacob, it's usually Karina leading the charge, though she'll be just as quick to gush over how much she loves Jacob's artwork.

    Other recurring

The Producers (Olive and Joy)

  • Cats Are Superior: Their job title strongly implies this is the case.
  • The Ghost: Zig-zagged. Due to the show's format, the Producers tend to be this by necessity. However, they tend to hog the spotlight from their owners Jacob and Julia during on-camera livestreams.

Willie Muse

  • Toilet Humor: Willie is no stranger to talking about bodily functions, and will do so at the drop of a hat
  • Transparent Closet: Willie is a selfdescribed "famed heterosexual who slays puss on the daily", yet conincidentally he does have his "platonic friend Matt" who Willie oftens ends up sharing a bed with, and who happens to be gay - but not Willie nuh uh

Tristan Cooper

The Lore Librarian

  • Paper-Thin Disguise: May or may not be Tristan Cooper.
  • The Smart Guy: Is brought in to bring obscure media properties for the hosts to draw. Knows a bit about everything

Jake Young

  • One of Us: Jake repeatedly mentions TV Tropes during the Legends of Krys mini-series, such as pointing out Skitterbug's role as The Dragon.
  • Put on a Bus: According to Jacob on the Patreon Discord, they are no longer working with Jake due to personal reasons.

Tony Wilson

  • Cloudcuckoolander: Tony brings a chaotic energy whenever he joins the hosts, and were also one of the main forces behind Drawfee Variety Hour, which was famously chaotic
