** TeamDad: More recently (as of 2021), Jacob has evolved from "bad boy" to "tired dad", as the other hosts routinely gang up on him, especially to derail the episode intros. His newest avatar also doesn't have an "evil" variant.

* OffModel: Albeit she's an amazing artist when she gets time to prepare, Julia is terrible at drawing established characters from memory, or whenever under pressure. This has been exemplified by the [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWY3RNtf7Fk Sonic Fursonas episode]], and she has even had [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNyWfMhD9l8 an episode dedicated to it]] where Jacob, Nathan and Karina try to guess what character she's trying to draw.

* VerbalTic: She'll stretch out Nathna's name when introducing him (''Naaaay''-than). And usually repeats it a few times before continuing.

* IllGirl:
** Julia has commented that she was born deaf, and grew up deaf until age 8, when she had surgery to remove her adenoids. She credits this as one of the biggest barriers she had as a kid when she was learning English.
** She has also commented that she has orthopedic problems with her joints, which were exacerbated by her having been a relatively active girl.

* IllGirl: Olive was originally sick with Feline Infectious Peritonitis which left her weak and exhausted. With the assistance of a Facebook group devoted to helping owners of [=FIP=] affected cats, Jacob and Julia were able to cure her and return her to being a happy and energetic kitty.

* JustForFun/OneOfUs: Jake repeatedly mentions Wiki/TVTropes during the ''Legends of Krys'' mini-series, such as pointing out Skitterbug's role as TheDragon.

* FanNickname: "Papa Caldwell", as he was one of the founders of the show.
