Time Patrollers

    The Youth/Time Patrollers in general
The playable character of the game

  • Badass Army: Although there is no explicit number, the trailers seem to indicate that there are dozens of patrollers, each being a mighty warrior on their own.
  • Born Winner: Downplayed. They are all powerful due to their genes, but they must train very hard to unlock their full potential.
  • Child Prodigy: They are considered talented fighters, and capable of defeating enemies that would be a threat to adult fighters.
  • Child Soldiers: They are forced to fight powerful enemies despite being children, and the first mission as a patroller is unlocked at level 25, when they are still children.
  • The Chosen Many: There are a lot of patrolllers.
  • Humans Need Aliens: Played with. They were all born on earth, but are descendants of aliens, and they are the ones who keep humanity safe.
  • Kid Hero All Grown-Up: They stay like kids for 30 levels before growing up.
  • The Gift: All of them are extremely talented warriors, to the point that in less than 1 year they can go from fighting giant Squirrels to being able to fight enemies in the Saiyan Saga.
  • One-Man Army: Played with. Patrollers are this for lower level npcs and enemies. But to be this for enemies of a similar level, they must invent armor that increases durability, and weapons that increase the power of their attacks in area.
  • Pintsized Powerhouse: Characters start out as children, and yet they can defeat enemies that most adults cannot. With the special watch, the player can summon this trope as a child again, even if at this point they are high-level and sub-class.
  • Power Creep, Power Seep: Story wise. Even though the game uses power levels, these seem purely symbolic. Being that the power of the patrollers seems to vary depending on who the enemy is. This can get to the point that a patroller can defeat a horde of Saibamen and still need a party to defeat Raditz.
  • Training from Hell: To unlock their potential, the children are forced to face hostile creatures and other enemies, luckily if they are knocked out they are transported to a Popo.

    Human Patrollers

  • All Genes Are Codominant: Human patrollers are powerful for being descendants of Saiyan, even though by this point the Saiyan blood should be very dissolved.
    • Not necessarily dissolved, since most Saiyan traits could be dominant; thus, the Saiyan race can't die out through crossbreeding with humans.
  • Fragile Speedster: Martial Artists tend to make quick attacks, but they are relatively fragile.
  • Glass Cannon: Spiritists are fragile, but at high levels they can destroy waves of enemies with a single attack.
  • Heroic Lineage: All "Human" players are descended from Goku and/or Vegeta.
  • Hybrid Power: The reason human patrollers have so much power is because they are descendants of Saiyan.
  • Humans Need Aliens: Despite being earthlings, they are descendants of Saiyans and that is why they are so powerful.
  • Magikarp Power: The Turtle Hermit. At low levels, the Turtle Hermit is very fragile, and can die if attacked by too many mobs. but when he unlocks his main AoE attacks, he becomes the best farmer in the game, being able to take down waves of enemies in one hit.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Human women tend to be very short, with spiritists hovering around 5 feet tall, and martial artists being only slightly taller.
  • Superpowerful Genetics: The time patrollers are descendants of Goku, Vegeta, which make them incredibly powerful.

    Namek Patrollers

  • Big Guy: Beyond the fact of being very tall, (they reach almost 7 feet in height), the namek warriors also tend to fulfill the role of tanks in a team.
  • Combat Medic: The Poko, who unlike Dende can get skills that help him in combat. The dende can also turn into this, if it is well armed.
  • Closest Thing We Got: The dende is considered the official healer of each team, but if they don't find one to go to a dungeon (Tmqs or uds), they can use a Poko that is not officially a healer, but still has healing abilities, and it is likely that enough. This is avoided in CC where the boss and many enemies deal so much damage that a Poko isn't enough, and a dende is needed.
  • A Kind of One: One of the healer's sub-classes is literally called Dende, based on the original Dende.
  • Squishy Wizard: Healers are usually fragile, this is downplayed with Pokos that can summon a mutant to act as a Tank.
  • Support Party Member: Dendes are essential in any Party, especially in ccs. But they themselves do not usually have many combat skills.
  • Stone Wall:
    • Namek Warriors are very resistant, but they have Focus so they tend to miss most attacks, this is usually remedied by buying gloves and sub-weapons that increase focus.
    • This trope is taken further if the Namek becomes giant, where it can take much more damage, but does much less.

    Majin Patrollers

  • Acrofatic: If the player chooses a Male Majin.
  • Airplane Arms: Majins do this for their run animation.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: The majins may look ridiculous (especially if they wear a ridiculous doji) but they are tough warriors.
  • Bizarre Sexual Dimorphism: All males are fat and all females are thin.
  • Clipped-Wing Angel: The Pure form of Buu is useless on most occasions. The Majin can no longer cast buffs, cannot splint, and only has two AoE attacks.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Female Majins are very attractive.
  • Crutch Character: Downplayed with the Mighty Majin and his spinning skill. In most dungeons, the spinning is enough to clear an entire room, especially if the Majin is well positioned, but in harder dungeons, enemies start to have more health and Ultras are becoming more common, so what the spinning is no longer enough, and it is usually the duty of the dps to finish off the enemies, although the Mighty is still tanking and buffing, so the character is still indispensable.
  • Heroic Lineage: They are all descendants of Fat Buu.
  • Magic Knight: The Mighty Majin can not only buff a team, but also fight themselves.
  • Older Is Better: Each generation is weaker than the last, up to the point of the generation of the year 1000 they are barely as strong as the Nameks and Earthlings of Saiyan descent.
  • Statuesque Stunner: The female Majins are very tall, the Wonder are slightly taller than a human male, while the Mighty are almost as tall as a Namek.

    First Group of Promotional Heroes
The protagonists in the Official Cinematic Opening

  • Always Someone Better: They seem to be this compared to the other group, being that they seem much stronger and more determined.
  • Expy: The two main members are this for Goku and Piccolo, to the point that there are notable parallels in their combat within the tournament.
  • Friendly Rivalry:The martial artist and the namek are rivals and also great friends.
  • The Lancer: The Namekian warrior appears to be the leader's right hand and his main rival.
  • The Leader: The martial artist seems to act as a leader.
  • Nice Guy: They seem to be very nice, even congratulating two kids for finishing their sub-class missions.
  • Serious Business: The Martial Artist and the Namekian take the tournament too seriously.
  • The Smurfette Principle: The crane is the only female member of the group.

    Second Group of Promotional Heroes
The protagonists in the official trailer

  • Almost Kiss: The martial artist and the spiritualist almost kiss, but are interrupted by their companions.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: The leader of the group is a martial artist who has a standard height, while the girl is a spiritist who does not exceed 5 feet in height.
  • Let's Get Dangerous!: They end up proving their worth when they help Goku fight Vegeta.
  • The Smurfette Principle: The spiritist is the only female in the group, somewhat justified because the Nameks only have one gender.
  • Strong as They Need to Be: In the first part of the trailer they treat a simple dinosaur like a 5 -players boss. But in the second half they are able to fight Vegeta.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Although they don't appear to be very strong at first, they are later shown fighting Vegeta, which may indicate that each has a level similar to Nappa.

Allies and Neutral characters

    Miss Buu

  • Born as an Adult: She was born as an adult, and had her first child a year later.
  • Identical Grandson: More than the fact that a player can create a Majin, that looks like her. Class trainer Titima looks just like her.
  • Living Distant Ancestor: She is the ancestor of the entire majin race and is still alive for the events of the game.
  • Monster Progenitor: Along good Buu, are the ancestors of the Majin race.
  • Really 700 Years Old: She is 210 years old during the events of the game.

    Moori

  • Living Distant Ancestor: As Grand Elder, the majority of Nameks alive are his descendants.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He was already relatively old when he appeared in the original series, and almost 240 years later he is almost as old as his father in the original series.

    Piccolo

    Hank
The second best assassin in the world, second only to Tao pai pai.

  • Affably Evil: Act friendly towards the playable character.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: With the death of Tao he achieves his mission of being the best assassin in the world.
  • Gameplay and Story Integration: He is outclassed as an assassin by Tao, which is reflected in the Scouter's displayed powers with Hank being weaker than Tao on normal difficulty, but being much stronger than the average NPC.
  • Karma Houdini: He is never arrested or punished, and even the playable character has to do his dirty work for him.
  • Second Place Is for Losers: He is the second best assassin in the world, and he hates that Tao Pai Pai surpasses him.
  • Villain of Another Story: Despite being an assassin, his role in the story is that of a Quest Giver, and at no time does he come into conflict with the patrolllers.

Time Breakers

    Towa

  • Big Bad: The Main Antagonist of Game

    Miira

  • The Dragon: The main enforcer of Towa
  • The Heavy: He is usually the direct main antagonist who has to face.
  • Improbable Power Discrepancy: Despite how powerful he is supposed to be, he is faced during the events of the Saiyan Saga, where he is only slightly stronger than Nappa.

    Chocolay

Captain Bacterian, Cell X, and Octopapa

  • Ambiguously Related: The relationship between the Captain Bacterian and the original Bacterian is unknown, although it is possible that he is a distant descendant.
  • Final Boss: They are the bosses you have to beat at level 70, which was the highest level the game reached.
  • King Mook: The Kraken/ Octopapa is a giant version of the octopuses that are usually found on the beaches of Papaya.
  • Superior Successor: The original Bacterian was not very strong, being defeated by Krillin in tournament 21 and easily killed by Tambourine. El Capitan Bacterian instead is an enemy that needs 5 players of level 70 to defeat, which by this point have managed to defeat Nameks, Saibamen, androids and Soldiers of Frieza's Army Remnant.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Octapapa was not a very strong enemy, being killed by a version of Goku that had not yet trained with Korin, now he is able to fight against 5 level 70 players. (who by this point may have fought with the Ginyu special forces )
  • Unexplained Recovery: Octopapa was apparently killed and devoured by Goku, but they somehow managed to rebuild him.

     Android 8,000.

  • Degraded Boss: They appear in the first three tmqs as bosses or sub-bosses. Later they can be found as regular enemies, even in Open-world. They still have stuns.
  • Dual Boss: In tmq 3, you have to fight against two at the same time.
  • Evil Knockoff: These copies lack the good qualities of the original.

Red Pants Army

    General

  • Angry Guard Dog: Some soldiers are accompanied by these.
  • Bat Out of Hell: Some of these usually patrol in groups of two or three at the bases.
  • Bears Are Bad News: Bears of the anthropomorphic variety can be found as soldiers.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Android 9, Tao Pai Pai and Doctor Gero's Clone are the co-leaders of this faction.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Despite their desire to conquer the world, they are one of the weakest factions in the game.
  • The Dragon: General Bon, as main enforced of the army.
  • Funny Animal: The majority of members are anthropomorphic animals.
  • Furry Confusion: Some members have wolves as pets, despite having anthropomorphic canids among their forces.
  • Improbable Power Discrepancy: Android 9 and Tao Pai Pai are two of the leaders, but since they are faced at low levels (even on hard difficulty), some of the subordinates who face the player at higher levels are stronger than them. Although in the case of Android 9, it is possible that he was a no-action Big Bad, just like his predecessor.
  • Large and in Charge: Zig Zagged. There are many high-ranking members who are giants, including Android 9, General Bon, and many bosses. But people like the Clone of Doctor Gero, Tao Pai Pai and General White jr, are of normal size, being even smaller than the many standard Mooks.
  • The Man Behind the Monsters: Although the army is made up mostly of anthropomorphic animals, among its leaders we can find Tao Pai Pai, Android 9 and Doctor Gero's clone, all of whom have human appearance.
  • N.G.O. Superpower: An independent army that represents an enormous danger.
  • Our Minotaurs Are Different: Much of his troops are anthropomorphic bulls.
  • Send in the Clones: Some of the leaders are robotic clones of the originals.
  • Superior Successor: Despite being one of the weaker factions, it is still much more powerful than the original Red Ribbon.

    Cloned Dr. Gero
  • Flunky Boss: He is helped by some 19,000 androids.
  • Life Drain: he can suck life from the opponent to heal himself.
  • The Man Behind the Man: Fill this role for General Bon. Although unusually for this trope, the player may end up meeting Doctor Gero before General Bon, since the ud2 is unlocked at level 38 and the mission in which you fight General Bon is level 40.

    Tao Pai Pai X
  • Bodyguarding a Badass: Downplayed. He has two (three in hard) bodyguards that protect him that are much weaker than him. But they still represent a challenge.
  • Improbable Power Discrepancy: Despite his enormous power, even on hard difficulty, he is just a boss intended for a party of level 30-36 players. In the following U Ds appear subordinates that are much stronger than him.
  • Neutral No Longer: Villain example. Tao was just a hired assassin, but he was not part of this faction, for the events of this game, he is one of its leaders.
  • Really 700 Years Old:
  • Took a Level in Badass: Tao Pai Pai got an update that made him more powerful. Although he does not have an explicit power, considering that the player faces him before Raditz, it is assumed that he is still below Z's enemies.

    Android 9
  • Final Boss: For "Red Ribbon Army HQ Ruins Map".
  • Improbable Power Discrepancy: Despite being a leader, Android 9 is only a level 30 Ultra, and can be beaten by two or 3 players of same level. In the Uds and even in the open world areas, one can find subordinates that are much stronger than him.
  • Large and in Charge: He is a giant and the leader within "Red Ribbon Army HQ Ruins Map".
  • Our Dwarves Are All the Same: Android 9 is of the bizarre variety. He is a giant almost 3 meters tall, but has the proportions of a dwarf.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Android 9, who must be over 240 years old considering that it was created long before androids 17 and 18.
  • Superior Successor: Commander Red had no fighting skills, Android 9 instead is the strongest unit in the "Red Ribbon Army HQ Ruins Map"

    General Bon

    General White Junior

  • Ambiguously Related: It is unknown if he is a distant descendant of the original, or just uses the same nickname.
  • The Dragon: For Tao Pai pai X. Being the last boss before fighting Tao and his student.
  • Superior Successor: The original General White wasn't really powerful, Jr instead is a Tao Pai Pai student that takes multiple players to beat.

    Android 19, 000

  • Degraded Boss:
    • In ud2, the first 19,000 is introduced as a boss or a sub-boss, in the final fight several appear as regular enemies.
    • On the level 55-59 map, several of the same models appear as normal enemies, although they still have the ability to absorb life, so they continue to represent a danger.
  • Final Boss: A model is the final boss of Fear Island.
  • Flunky Boss: The one from Fearland appears with multiple androids 18,000 accompanying him
  • Life Drain: Like his boss he can suck life from the opponent to heal himself.

    Android 16 copies

  • Evil Knockoff: These copies lack the good qualities of the original.

Bong Bong, real monster and Jiji Builder
Bong Bong, Real Monster and Jiji Builder are the commanders of the initial fortress of each race. They usually represent the first real boss for the players of each race.

  • Authority Equals Asskicking: They are the commanders of the soldiers of the each initial fortress and the strongest unit.
  • Flunky Boss: They are accompanied by their subordinates, and as alerting one subordinate will alert them, separating them is not an option.
  • Large and in Charge: They are bigger than the standard mob.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: They are the final boss of the initial maps, and is not uncommon that two hplayers have to team up to defeat them, but the further you advance in the game, random soldiers begin to appear that are much more powerful than them.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: Bong Bong for humans, Real Monster for Majins and Jiji Builder for Nameks. They are characterized by being the first genuinely difficult enemies that the player will face. Something that makes them difficult, is that they are the first genuine bosses, as by that point the strongest enemies the player(s) had faced were Supermobs that were only a little bit stronger than the common mobs.

Frieza's Army Remnant

    General

  • Create Your Own Hero: They were responsible for popularizing the use of Ki, which led to an army of time patrols in the year 1000.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Their attack in 820 caused ki control to become popular on earth, and the turtle and crane schools were founded.
  • Nothing Can Stop Us Now!: With the death of the guy who had seemingly defeated Frieza, the remnant was sure they could defeat the earthlings. They ended up regretting their decision.
  • The Remnant: From Frieza's former army.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Some of the members were already adults when Frieza ruled, almost 240 years ago.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: They decided to attack the earth because they thought the guy who defeated Frieza was dead, but even though they were right, it was only because they believed was Mister Satan.

    Frieza's Honor Guard
The people who used to be Frieza's bodyguards, they usually play the role of bosses.

  • Bodyguarding a Badass: Even though Frieza's Honor Guard are very powerful, they are still much weaker than the guy they are supposed to protect. In fact they are aware that they are no match for a guy who killed Frieza, even with numerical superiority.
  • Dragon Ascendant: Rigill, who used to be Frieza's main bodyguard becomes the new leader when he died.
  • Large and in Charge: They are usually gigantic, though it is unknown if in lore they are that big, or it is just a design choice to differentiate them from mooks.
  • Praetorian Guard: Frieza's Honor Guard. Although they are weaker than their former boss, they are tough soldiers.

Dark Namekians / Narak Demon Clan.

    General

  • Disc-One Final Boss: In th ud6, Gamelan appears to be the final boss, but is replaced by Week.
  • The Dragon: Gamelan is the right hand of Narak.
  • Evil Is Bigger: The first Narak was born a giant, and his general Gamelan is about 4 meters tall.
  • The Ghost: We never see The first Narak, there is only the implication that he is gigantic.
  • The Man in Front of the Man: The General Gamelan is a pawn of Week (The time Breaker representative).
  • Superior Successor: Much more powerful than the former Demon Clan. This is best shown by the fact that they are introduced as enemies after Frieza's soldiers, who in the original manga were far above the demon clan.
  • You Have Failed Me: Week kills Gamelan for failing to beat the Patrollers.

    Mr. Poko Poko

  • Degraded Boss: In the server Crisis, several of them appear as normal enemies in the level 70-75 zone.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Mr. Popo, and Porunga.

Paella Gang

    Paella
Distant descendant of Pilaf, who like his ancestor wants to conquer the world.

  • Generation Xerox: Very similar to his ancestor Pilaf, both in appearance and personality.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: He managed to conquer Mushroom Rocks twelve years before the events of the game.

Independent villains or who work for various factions.

    Saibamen

  • Ascended Extra: In the original manga they were minions that appeared in a few chapters, in the game they are common enemies.
  • Demoted to Extra: Although the species as a whole is fairly common, the original versions are in fact incredibly rare, only being found on floors 6-9 and slightly stronger versions on floors 26-29.
  • Fake Ultimate Mook: Colossal turtle Saibamen appear in some areas, but they are as easy to kill as the Standard versions.
  • Giant Mook: Downplayed. In some places you can find Saibamen of the standard type but biggers, of course as the standard saibaman is only between 3 and 4 feet tall, the "giant versions" are only between 5 and 6 feet tall.
  • Glass Cannon: They usually have less health than an average mob, but they usually do more damage.
  • King Mook: Boss versions of the Saibaman appear in the cc.
  • Mini Mook: Child Saibaman. He has the appearance of the standard green Saibaman, but is even smaller. He is no stronger or weaker than other Saibamen one encounters in the same area.
  • Mooks: Numerous and most of the time they are very easy to kill.
  • Planimal: Many of the Saibamen are combined with some animal, such as monkeys, snakes, turtles or spiders.
  • Plant Person: They're grown from seeds.
  • Suicide Attack: Some saibaman have self-destruct abilities that activate if they have very low health.
  • Underground Monkey: Despite the fact that in the anime there were only green-skinned humanoid versions, in the game there is a huge variety of colors for them.

    Wildlife

  • Dire Beast: Most of them are larger than you would expect of their species, and very aggressive.
  • Everything Trying to Kill You: Even the most harmless-looking animals will attack the patroller.
  • Killer Rabbit: Rabbits and squirrels are dangerous.
  • Improbable Power Discrepancy: Despite being only animals, some of them can be found at higher levels, making them stronger than most Frieza's soldiers and Dark Namekians.
  • Rodents of Unusual Size: Squirrels are as big as a young patrolller.
  • Savage Wolves: Wolves, averted at low levels where they will only attack the patroller if s/he attacks them first.

    Akkumen / Devilmen

  • Ascended Extra: Downplayed. The Akkuman of the series was an opponent that Goku only fought once, here more appear, but they are only found in the cc floors above 90.
  • Big Red Devil: The classic look.
  • Elite Mook: These enemies only spawn above 90th CC floor, so they are this by default.
  • Superior Successor: The Akkuman that appears in the anime is weaker than King Piccolo, the ones that appear in the game are much stronger than a Saibaman. (Bearing in mind that the standard version of the Saibamen appear on the lower floors, while the akkumen on the upper floors)

    Pirates

Pirates are the main enemy faction one encounters on Papaya Island.

  • Elite Zombie: All zombies would qualify, but even among them they have Ultras and Supers who are stronger than average.
  • Improbable Power Discrepancy: They're just pirates, but because they're in a level 60-69 zone, it means they're stronger than most Frieza's soldiers and Nameks.
  • Inexplicably Awesome: It is never explained why these pirates are so strong.
  • Night of the Living Mooks: Zombies are officially part of the pirate faction.
  • N.G.O. Superpower: They're just pirates, but considering they're level 60+ mobs, they're strong enough to pose as big of a threat as other organizations.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: The zombies act like classic mindless monsters although they don't seem to have infective bites (and if they do, the player character is immune), the fact that they are on average level 65 may mean they are stronger than most Saibamen, Corrupted Namekians, and Frieza Soldiers (Not counting Elite Mooks and those found in dungeons). Also as they officially belong to the pirate faction, it may mean that they are rational to a certain extent.

    Fake Macho
The Fake Macho are strange looking beings with blonde hair and an orange shirt.

  • Ambiguously Human: It is ambiguous if they are actually human, or another type of being.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Despite his harmless appearance, the fake macho is still a level 63 mob. making him stronger than the average Frieza's soldier or corrupted Namekian.

    CC Battle Dungeon Bosses
A group of CC bosses are among the hardest enemies to beat in the game, and from floor 76 it is recommended to have fully upgraded strong items.

  • Evil Isbigger: They are usually giants.
  • Final Boss: Chocolay is the final boss of the dungeon on the 150th floor.
  • Flunky Boss: Most bosses, if not all, are accompanied by their own subordinates. Depending on the type of enemy, they can vary between being minor threats, and the player can ignore them while focusing on the boss, or in other cases, they are a very big threat, and usually need to be killed or at least disabled.
  • Inexplicably Awesome: It is never explained why these optional bosses are so strong, having more health than the bosses that have real importance in the plot.
  • Keystone Army: Killing the boss will automatically kill all subordinates.
  • King Mook: Many of them are giant versions of normal Mooks.
  • Superboss: They are not part of the official story, but they are usually much stronger than the enemies found in tmqs or uds. For comparison, many uds or tmqs can be completed without a dende (The official healer), and a semi-healer like the Poko can be used. On the other hand, going to CC, above the 50th floor without a dende, is practically suicide.
  • Upgraded Boss: Some of the bosses are enemies you encounter in the open world or in other dungeons, but with increased stats.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: Queen Saktugi from the 50th floor. Before him, most bosses could be defeated simply by attacking, while the healer healed, but with this boss, he is the first one that needs a more elaborate strategy, to begin with, a good tank is needed to distract the insects, and the other four must be careful not to heal him when she puts on the healing shield.

Villains from the past

    Raditz

  • Improbable Power Discrepancy: Raditz is a boss in a game where most Saibamen are treated as Mooks, to the point where a player can wipe out a group of Saibamen with an AoE, and still need a party to defeat Raditz.

    Nappa

  • Dies Differently in Adaptation: In the original version Nappa is killed by Vegeta after losing to Goku, in this version he is killed by the Time Patrollers and never meets Goku.

    Vegeta

  • Enemy Mine: Vegeta teams up with the patrollers to defeat Zarbon and the Ginyu special forces.
  • Improbable Power Discrepancy: His Ozzaru form is only slightly stronger than Nappa and himself when injured.

    Cui, Zarbon, and Dodoria

  • Came Back Strong: Dodoria and Cui after being killed by Vegeta, revive with more power.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Cui and Zarbon in his second form are small, but they are stronger than before.

    Ginyu Force

  • Adaptational Badass: Ginyu with Goku's body was weaker than the Vegeta who fought Dodoria, in this version he is stronger than Jeice.
  • Dual Boss: You fight Ginyu (in Goku's body) and Jeice at the same time, but you only need to beat Ginyu to win.
  • The Unfought: The time patrollers never get to fight Butter.
