Robots
Dorapin
A mysterious thief from France that was modeled after that infamous fictional character Arsène Lupin. Though often misunderstood for a "villain", he always steals for a reason.
- Achilles' Heel: Fears dogs and dark places.
- Anti-Villain: He antagonizes The Doraemons and aims to their Friendship Telecard in first place because he was forced to. Once the truth is revealed, he becomes friends with the group.
- Just Like Robin Hood, he robs from the rich and gives to the poor.
- Gentleman Thief: Well, he was modeled after the Arsène Lupin.
- Just Like Robin Hood: Despite his inspiration, his actions more reflect those of Robin Hood: He always steals to help the poor and vagrants.
- Magic Staff: The wand he holds all the time, despite looking plain, is crowned with a jewel that endows the power of transmutation.
- Master of Disguise: As a professional thief, Dorapin is a master of disguise, deception and camouflage.
- Spell My Name With An S: Some translations use the name Dorapan for him.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Dorayaki with Camembert cheese, instead of the usual red beans paste.
- Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Has a case of cynophobia and nyctophobia. However, it seems that he's okay with robot canines.
Jaidora
A fantastic cook from Italy. When panic, he runs in circles frantically.
- Blind Without 'Em: His glasses is thick, so he's unable to see anything without them.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: His outfit is mismatch from top to toe: his chef’s hat, scarf collar, jacket, and shoes. They resemble the flag of Italy.

Pawaemon
One of Doraemon's friends from the Robot Academy, appeared only in the 2005 anime series. Currently, he is taking care of the son of the Prime Minister.
- The Ace: Just like his owner's predecessor, he is a perfect cat robot with the most excellent graduate result among his classmates.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Confident, boastful, often calls Doraemon "broken robot" and clearly not the best of people/robot. He is actually Doraemon's trusty friend and willing to support Nobita in "The Day Doraemon is Reborn".
- Sharp-Dressed Man: Wears a dark-green suit and black shoes, with a bow attached on his collar.
Noramyako
Doraemon's first girlfriend. She played a very prominent role in Doraemon's life before he went back to 20th century (in the 1979 anime)/21st century (in the 2005 anime).
- Adaptational Attractiveness: A zig-zagged example. In the original manga and the 1979 anime, Noramyako's design shared the same proportions as the rest of the cat robots seen throughout the franchise. The 1995 movie, however, redesigned her into an attractive Humanoid Female Animal with eyeshadow, a slender, feminine figure and long legs, something which carries over to The Doraemons. This is later undone in the 2005 anime, with Noramyako's cuter appearance being much closer to her original design.
- Ballet: Her specialty is ballet and her slim body helps with the movement. After a wonderful performance at the Graduation Day, she later becomes a successful ballerina.
- Innocently Insensitive: Upon seeing Doraemon without ears, she unintentionally bursted into laughter, which led to his depression and chain of events that turned his color blue. After Dorami told her about what happened, she regretted what she had done and asked for his forgiveness. Good for her, he's not that vengeful.
- Prehensile Tail: She used her tail to wrap Doraemon’s leg and rescued him.
- Rescue Romance: With Doraemon is the rescued one from falling into a blast furnace.
Mimiko
Wang Dora's sweet girlfriend who is a robot nurse.
- Berserk Button: When Wandora got lovey-dovey (shy) from girls, she beats him up.
- Hospital Hottie: She is a pretty cute nurse.
- Rescue Romance: The backstory reveals that they fell in love during the time that Wangdora saved her hospital from a hostage incident.
- Yamato Nadeshiko
Human
Principal Teraodai
The principal of Robot Academy in the 22nd century, and also the inventor of the cat robots.
- Baldness Angst: But he's still afraid of baldness.
- Cool Old Guy
- Gadgeteer Genius: He invented the cat robots for crying out loud!
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Despite calling The Doraemons the most troublesome students he had ever taught, he trusts in all of them, knowing that they're capable of using their knowledge and ability for good. He is the one notices Doraemon's flaws, transfered him to the special class where Doraemon met his future friends, and also helped Doraemon overcame his insecurity of not having any specialty.
