Jedi

    Michelle Ketros

A teenager who, after a car crash, was thrown into the body of Padawan Michelle Ketros. After some years, she's knighted. Upon the start of the Clone Wars, she's made General of the 420th Battalion.

  • Badass Longcoat: Starts wearing one during the Clone Wars, which she openly admits is just for Rule of Cool.
  • The Chessmaster: A benevolent example. Michelle is lying to and manipulating almost everyone she knows, for the end goal of stopping Palpatine and saving the world. Zinnia and Ketros make sure to call Michelle out whenever she starts crossing lines.
  • Comically Missing the Point: Evie attempts to stop her from charging into battle wearing only a small towel around her waist. Michelle agrees that fighting in only a towel is a bad idea... and decides to grab a pair of shoes on the way out.
    • Somewhat justified, given that recovering from her blaster bolt to the chest meant a lot of strangers seeing her half naked when her bandages were changed, and her narration mentions that she's desensitized to people seeing her bare torso. Whereas on the other hand, when she can't find shoes that fit and runs off into battle anyways, she returns without a scratch... except on her bare feet, which are injured and bleeding enough that Evie carries her the rest of the way to medical.
  • Commonality Connection: She bonds with Anakin over feeling like outsiders within the Order. That and a shared love of explosives.
  • Deadpan Snarker: One of her preferred forms of communication. After Isaac's death she starts trying to grow out of it.
  • Dying Alone: Before arriving in the Star Wars universe, Michelle was in a horrific car accident. EMTs Triaging the situation determined that she, who had been Impaled with Extreme Prejudice, could not be saved and she died alone as they left her to treat other victems.
  • Forgets to Eat: During the Clone Wars, Evie and Doc struggle to get her to eat two meals a day, and at one point she flat out bribes her clones to not tell on her for skipping dinner. She doesn't have an eating disorder, she's just incredibly busy, and doesn't consider her physical needs overly important unless she's on the verge of collapse, leading to her skipping meals to work.
  • If You Ever Do Anything to Hurt Her...: She gives Padme a shovel talk on Anakin's behalf.
  • Parental Sexuality Squick: While a part of her is happy for him, the majority is grossed out Coltin's relationship with Obi-Wan.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Zinnia thinks of her as one for Ketros until they start a relationship, where the inherent issues with that line of thought cause it to fall apart immediately.
  • Straight Gay: She's openly gay, but not campy.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: She's such as fan, she tries to teach Anakin how to rig a lightsaber into an explosive during their first meeting. To their disappointment, Obi-Wan intervenes.
  • Spanner in the Works: Palpatine's plans hadn't accounted for a random Jedi padawan suddenly knowing literally everything he was up to.

    Padawan Ketros

An alternate universe version of Michelle, she was raised in the Jedi. After Michelle ends up in her body, Ketros serves as a source of advice and companionship for Michelle.

    Zinnia

Neria's twin sister, and a member of the Jedi Shadows. Zinnia is the only one to know the truth of Michelle's status as an interdimensional hobo, and is her main confidant and ally.

  • Living Lie Detector: Zinnia has a rare Force ability, which allows her to always be able to tell when she's being lied to, although this doesn't necessarily mean she'll find the truth.
  • Only One Name: Doesn't have a last name. Word of God states that she's from a culture that doesn't have last names, similar to the Inuit in Northern Canada.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Isn't overly interested in anybody that isn't Padawan Ketros. Leads to disaster in part two when she attempts to replace the deceased Ketros with her counterpart Michelle.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She gives these to Michelle as needed.

    Anakin Skywalker

A Jedi padawan, Anakin struggles with feeling alienated from his peers, and the pressure of being the Chosen One.

  • All the Other Reindeer: When he first appears, he feels isolated by his late introduction to the Order as well as his status as The Chosen One. This trait disappears as Michelle draws him into her group of friends.
  • Commonality Connection: He bonds with Michelle over feeling like outsiders within the Order. That and their shared love of explosives.
  • Determinator: Even as a twelve year old, he can take a severe beating without giving up any hint to the information he has.
  • Parental Sexuality Squick: He is very grossed out by his Master's relationship with Coltin.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: One of his preferred tactics.
    Ozerra Abdalla

Ozerra is a young padawan whose master was killed during the Battle of Geonosis. She is eventually reassigned by the Council as Michelle's padawan.

  • Dark and Troubled Past: Her first master was killed during the Battle of Geonosis, which she survived, so there's bound to be some issues there.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Shows up four chapters before her introduction, as Michelle spots her returning from the Battle of Geonosis.
    Masters

Coltin Andross

Michelle's Jedi master.

  • Parental Substitute: Serves as one for Michelle, whose real family is in a different dimension, and Ketros, his padawan.

Obi-Wan Kenobi

Anakin's master. He and Michelle develop a friendship as the story carries on.

  • Papa Wolf: A mentor version. When he notices Michelle's interest in Anakin, he gives her a shovel talk.

Ria Ardous

Zinnia's master, and the leader of the Shadows. Is treated with wariness by the rest of the temple, and seems to have something unnaturally wrong with her.

  • Hero of Another Story: Word of God states that there's a complicated, in depth reason for her unnatural eyes... and that that story isn't even worth an interlude, due to Ria being a tertiary character at best. An explanatory one shot has been promised in the future.

    Other Jedi

Seha Ashjian

One of Michelle's friends, she specializes in combat.

Neria

A non-combatant Jedi, and Zinnia's twin sister, Neria has a gift for engineering and mechanics, especially with starships.

  • The Engineer: Spends most of her time elbow deep in a ship of some kind.

Isaac O'Brien

The youngest member of Michelle's group of friends, he somehow ends up serving as the team therapist, and is aware that Michelle is under some great stress.

  • Killed Off for Real: Isaac is killed during the Battle of Geonosis. Michelle briefly visits his body in the morgue.
  • Token White: The only one of Michelle's friends that is completely Caucasian. Due to it being the Star Wars universe, this never really comes up.

    420th Battalion

Evie/CT 109-399

The Commander of the 420th Battalion, Evie is the highest ranked clone serving under Michelle, and tends to work directly with her. It's revealed near the end of part three that she's a transgender woman.

  • Afraid of Needles: Absolutely terrified. The name comes from Evie getting a bad infection during training, and responding to the IV's by slurring about 'not wanting any ee-vee's'. The name stuck.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Michelle bursting into the command center wearing nothing by a small towel around her waist is enough to make Evie stall out and stare at her. A while later, Evie's distracted by the thought of seeing Michelle fight in only said towel.
  • Only Sane Man: She keeps the crazier members of the battalion in line. This occasionally includes General Ketros herself.

Clip

The heavy weapons expert, Clip's main love is causing explosions. General Ketros is more than happy to join him.

  • Pyromaniac: Enjoys setting off explosions, and a lot of them. Luckily for him, he spends almost all his time in a warzone.
  • Signature Move: Apparently gained his name through figuring out how make a clip of ammo explode. Nobody else has figured out how to replicate the trick.
  • Stuff Blowing Up: His preferred method of combat.

Doc

Heya

  • Verbal Tic: Starts every conversation with 'hey'. Hence his name.

Bug

  • Comically Small Bribe: Agrees to lie to his Commander about Michelle having eaten when she didn't, in exchange for her unwanted potatoes.

Whiskey

  • Can't Hold His Liquor: Ironically, got his name from taking one swig of whiskey, almost choking to death on it from the burn, and swearing off alcohol forever.
  • Ironic Name: Whiskey swore off alcohol forever after a bad experience with the drink he's named after.

    Civilians

Kyla Ketros

Padawan Ketros's mother.

  • The Ghost: Kyla never appears in person, but Michelle mentions her a few times.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Kyla is Ketros's mother, and her giving up her daughter to the Jedi is the reason there's a story at all.

Phoenix

A woman Michelle meets during Interlude Three, the two become fast friends. With benefits.

  • Hero of Another Story: Word of God states that in the canon universe, Phoenix would have been on Alos during a Separatist occupation, and become the leader of a resistance movement to fight it. After the empire rose, Phoenix's resistance would merge with the overall Rebellion. The full story is going to be given in the spin-off sequel Division, apparently by Phoenix's daughter.
  • Friends with Benefits: With Michelle
