Mary Shaw and Her Dolls
Mary Shaw
Played By: Judith Roberts
During Raven’s Fair’s golden days, Mary Shaw was a famed ventriloquist obssessed with dolls who put on shows for the whole town at the Guignol Theatre. After a child who heckled her mysteriously disappeared, Mary was in turn mysteriously killed by having her tongue ripped out. Following her death, Mary returned as a vengeful ghost who took revenge against the town, her only weakness being she could only kill people who screamed in front of her.
- The Bad Guy Wins: She succeeds in her plan of eradicating the Ashen family and converting them all to dolls.
- Big Bad: Of the movie.
- Disproportionate Retribution: Kills a boy for heckling her performance and after the town's citizens rightfully kill her for it, she dedicates her un-death to destroying the bloodlines of the town.
- Evil Genius: In life, she had a considerable knowledge of human anatomy as evidenced by her endeavors of trying to make the perfect doll.
- Familial Foe: Mary Shaw murdered a young boy named Michael Ashen and her evil spirit has spent decades murdering four generations of Michael's relatives (including an unborn child) after Michael's vengeful father and brothers killed her.
- Ghostly Goals: In her own words, she wants to silence those who silenced her. To this end, she had systematically wiped out different bloodlines starting with the fathers then extending that to their wives and children, and in some cases, their grandchildren.
- Tongue Trauma: Her modus operandi is ripping out the tongues of her victims and acquiring their voices by combining their tongues with hers.
- Would Hurt a Child: She kills the unborn child of Jamie when he killed his wife, and also ended the lives of several children in her pursuit of eradicating their family lines. In life, she kidnapped and killed the boy who heckled her performance so she could make him into the perfect doll.
