The Fenton Family and Relatives

    Jazz Fenton
Danny's older sister
  • Action Girl: Has become this after helping Team Phantom fight ghosts.
  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: She is the Brains to Star's Beauty and Sam's Brawn.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Danny may be a superhero, but Jazz is still very protective of him.
  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: She's the redhead to Star's blonde and Sam's brunette.
  • Cool Big Sis: She cares a lot about her younger brother. Jazz also quickly grows fond of Danielle and accepts her as her sister.
  • Fiery Redhead: Inverted. While outspoken and strong-willed, she's one of the most mature and levelheaded members of the group.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: She was the last member of Team Phantom to know about Danielle's existence. Danny didn't tell her because he wasn't sure how Jazz would take it until Danielle and Star convinced him in "Found".
  • Not So Above It All: While Jazz tries to be an adult, that doesn't stop her from joining Star, Sam, and Valerie in giving Colette a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown in "Empowered", as she hates her as much as they do.
  • The Smart Girl: The most academic-oriented and driven of Team Phantom, as well as The Strategist at times.
  • Team Mom: She likes to keep Team Phantom focused on the task at hand and always puts an end to any arguments between them.

    Jack Fenton
Danny's father.
Always Someone Better: After experiencing the “Maddie Masters” timeline, Danny gained a newfound respect for his father not just for being a better man than Vlad, but a better husband too.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: Him and Maddie are this toward their children because they often embarrass them with their ghost-hunting antics.
  • Big Eater: Even after a five-course meal, he's still hungry for pizza.
  • Big Fun: He's a very jolly man despite his large size.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: He's a capable ghost hunter and never passes up the chance to blather on about ghosts or his inventions.
  • Brutal Honesty: He's the most vocal in his family of his hatred for Jean-Luc and doesn't mind insulting the latter to his or Stella's face when given the chance.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: People tend to underestimate Jack because for being an eccentric bumbler but when push comes to shove, he’ll beat up even Vlad Plasmius to save his family.
  • Destructive Savior: Him and his wife tend to cause more property damage than most ghosts, which even Danny acknowledges. It’s for this reason that Georgia refuses to hire the Fentons to deal with the ghosts haunting her sister’s house in “Faked”.
  • Embarrassing Middle Name: His middle name is "Horace" and he never forgave his mother for that.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • Both he and his wife despise the Bevier family for their unpleasantness.
    • Although Jack is still under the belief Vlad is his best friend and would love to make him part of the family, he does not want it through Vlad marrying Alicia, knowing how unpleasant a woman his sister-in-law is, and even sends a warning to Vlad she's looking for him.
    • Jack can be a messy eater but he's just as disgusted as Vlad is by Alicia's lack of table manners.
  • Fantastic Racism: He and his wife hate and distrust all ghosts.
  • Genius Ditz: He's a brilliant inventor and competent ghost hunter but lacks common sense.
  • Gentle Giant: He's a huge but lovable man.
  • Good Parents: Despite being a goof, he does love his kids.
  • Hidden Depths: He reveals in "Bonding" that he enjoys golfing.
  • Jabba Table Manners: Vlad claims he eats like a pig but he's not as bad as Alicia.
  • Jerkass to One: He’s a pretty jolly guy but is openly hostile to Jerkasses like Stella (though he softens towards her later on), the Beviers, the Mansons, Beatrice Traville, Donovan Loadman, and Alicia.
  • Likes Clark Kent, Hates Superman: He adores his son Danny but completely distrusts his alter ego, Danny Phantom, since Jack is unaware they're the same person.
  • Nice Guy: While he's a bumbling doofus, he's a genuinely well-meaning guy who deeply loves his family and wants to protect people from ghosts.
  • Odd Friendship: With Star's father, fawning over a television series they both watch called Billington's Island.
  • Papa Wolf: He's a goof but won't tolerate anyone messing with his family.
  • Shared Family Quirks: Though he hasn't met her yet, he and Danielle have an insatiable appetite.
  • Shipper on Deck: Is supportive of his son's relationship with Star.
  • Stout Strength: He's on the heavy side but is a capable fighter who can toss adults with his bare hands.

    Maddie Fenton
Danny's mother.
  • Action Girl: She's proud to be one and takes offense to Stella thinking combat is beneath women.
  • Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: She and Jack are this toward their children because they often embarrass them with their ghost hunting antics.
  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: She is the Beauty and Brains to her sister Alicia's Brawn.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's a pleasant woman but can be downright cold to people she hates like the Beviers, Stella, and Vlad.
  • Boyish Short Hair: Has shoulder-length auburn hair and is a capable ghost-hunter who knows martial arts.
  • Brainy Brunette: Has short brown hair and is just as good as her husband at inventing anti-ghost weaponry.
  • Destructive Savior: Her and her husband tend to cause more property damage than most ghosts, which even Danny acknowledges. It’s for this reason that Georgia refuses to hire the Fentons to deal with the ghosts haunting her sister’s house in “Faked”.
  • Embarrassing Middle Name: Her middle name is "Agnes" and she dislikes it.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • She and her husband despise the Bevier family for their unpleasantness.
    • Even Vlad acknowledges that Maddie would never enter a relationship with a man who is already taken.
  • Fantastic Racism: She shares Jack's hatred of ghosts.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: She's a capable inventor and has built devices that can harm ghosts.
  • Good Parents: She is very caring towards her kids and their friends, a stark contrast to Stella.
  • Hate at First Sight: She's completely hated Jean-Luc Bevier since the day they met partly because he was a total jerk to her son and partly because he hit on Maddie so she punched him in the face. She finds the pompous Frenchman to be just as bad as Vlad.
  • Jerkass to One: She’s a nice lady but doesn’t bother hiding her disdain for snobs like Stella (though Maddie softens towards her later on), the Beviers, the Mansons, Beatrice Traville, Donovan Loadman, and Vlad Masters.
  • Likes Clark Kent, Hates Superman: She adores her son Danny but completely distrusts his alter ego, Danny Phantom, since she's unaware they're the same person.
  • Mama Bear: Maddie is very protective of her children. She once harmed Jean-Luc for trying to hit on her after saying rude things about her son.
  • Named by the Adaptation: In this series, her maiden name is revealed to be McDonaldson and she has a middle name, Agnes.
  • Nice Girl: Hatred for ghosts aside, she's a perfectly pleasant woman who would go to great lengths for her loved ones.
  • Pervert Revenge Mode: Her response to Jean-Luc Bevier hitting on her is to deck him in the face.
  • Shipper on Deck: Is supportive of her son's relationship with Star.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: She very much prefers the goofy but good-natured Jack Fenton over the narcissistic Manipulative Bastard Vlad Masters.
  • Tender Tomboyishness, Foul Femininity: With Stella Bevier. Maddie is a Nice Girl with Boyish Short Hair who knows karate and wears jumpsuits while Stella is a snob with long hair who wears dresses and thinks it's unladylike to fight. It's downplayed later on as Stella becomes kinder and has learned to defend herself from ghosts with a blaster.
  • Turned Off By The Jerkass: In “Traveled”, Puck makes it clear to Vlad that even if Maddie had married him instead of Jack, she still wouldn’t love him for his entitled, Control Freak nature.
  • We Used to Be Friends: She used to see Vlad as an old college friend, like Jack does, but grew to hate his guts after he showed what a slimeball he is when he made it clear he wanted her to leave Jack for him.
  • Women Are Wiser: Downplayed as she also gets caught up in her ghost-hunting antics, but she tends to be more rational and level-headed than her excitable, ghost-obsessed husband Jack.

    Dani Phantom
Danny's younger clone.
  • Audience Surrogate: She serves this role in "Visited", alongside Wulf.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Danielle quickly latches onto and is protective of Star for treating her kindly.
  • Big Eater: She eats more food than should be possible for a child her size, to Star's amazement and dismay.
    • Danny theorizes that Vlad accidentally used an unused gene from Jack (who is also a Big Eater) when he created Dani. Jazz isn't sure but becomes convinced after seeing her eating habits.
  • Commuting on a Bus: At the end of "Found", she moves into Sam's family's lake house at Mount Eerie until Vlad is permanently defeated. Since then, she has made minor appearances, mostly during holidays or to see Danny. Team Phantom also keeps in touch with Dani by sending her presents and care packages.
  • Cute Ghost Girl: Star and Jazz both think she's adorable.
  • Interspecies Friendship: With Wulf, who looks after Dani while she's taking refuge at Mount Eerie and is seen accompanying her on her endeavors.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: Forms one with Wulf and Team Phantom who are considerably older than her, as Dani has barely been alive for a whole year.
  • Little Miss Badass: Dani is just a child and pretty inexperienced with her ghost powers, but is almost as powerful as Danny.
  • Little Miss Snarker: She’s just as quippy and snarky as Danny.
  • Nice Girl: She's sweet, kind, and bubbly.
  • Shared Family Quirks: Star and the others notice that she has the same eating habits as Jack Fenton.
  • Shipper on Deck: She quickly likes Star and teases the idea of her and Danny having a little girl someday.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: She has Danny’s ghost powers but isn’t as experienced in using them as he is.

    Alicia McDonaldson
Danny's maternal aunt and Maddie's older sister, who has been divorced for about 10 years. She and Jack hate each other. She also develops a one-sided crush on Vlad of all people.
  • Abhorrent Admirer: In "Visited", she falls head over heels for Vlad due to his looks (and possibly his wealth) and acts pretty aggressive with her affections. Vlad, on the other hand, finds her appalling and is outright terrified of her advances.
  • Acquired Poison Immunity: Alicia once exposed herself to snake venom every day for a week to acquire immunity. It became helpful when Vlad tried to poison her.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: She's presented as a much more sympathetic character here than in the show and NeoMark's story Danny Phantom Vs The Kentucky Goblins. While Alicia can be unpleasant, especially to Jack, she has several redeeming qualities such as her genuine love for her sister, niece, and nephew (despite her low opinion on men). Also, unlike Beatrice, Alicia would never try to force someone into a relationship because she respects other people's feelings on the matter.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Possibly one of the reasons why she has a crush on Vlad.
  • All Women Are Lustful: Ironically, despite her professed hatred for men, she falls really hard for Vlad and is determined to make him her next husband. Her attempts to woo him basically amount to chasing him around and trying to kiss him, much to his horror.
    • In "Staged", she unknowingly traps a depowered Vlad in her cabin and spends a long time smothering him in hugs and kisses, much to his dismay.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Inverted since she is older than Maddie, but she's not the most pleasant person to be around. While Maddie cares about her, even she has her limits with Alicia's behavior.
  • Anticipatory Lipstick: More like anticipatory breath mints, as Alicia ate several of these before attempting to kiss (an unwilling) Vlad. She later applies lipstick before making out with Vlad while he's under the love spell.
  • Awful Wedded Life: Her first marriage is heavily implied to have been this, considering she celebrates her divorce and doesn't get along AT ALL with her ex-husband Jonah.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: She does love and care about her sister and her family (with the exception of Jack). It's also revealed by Puck that Alicia is the only one who genuinely loves Vlad.
  • Bear Hug: She tends to give these to Vlad whenever she manages to get her hands on him.
  • Berserk Button: Jack making fun of her can really set her off. Her ex-husband, and past marriage in general, is another big one for her.
  • Big Eater: While not to the same extent to Jack or Danielle, Alicia seems to have a big appetite.
  • Big Sister Instinct: She's very protective of her little sister Maddie and cares about her a lot.
  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: She is the brawn to Maddie's beauty and brains.
  • Brawn Hilda: She's rather muscular for a woman and Vlad even describes her as "mannish" more than once.
  • Bruiser with a Soft Center: Despite her brutish attitude and fighting style, Alicia is at least decent towards those she cares about and is closest to.
  • Brutal Honesty: She has no problem telling people what she thinks of them, as she always criticizes Jack and didn't hesitate to call Star "dainty" to her face when they first met.
  • Chivalrous Pervert: She can be very handsy with Vlad, but she does think she has his consent.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Towards Vlad. She is very possessive of him and pretty much clings to him every time they cross paths.
  • Cloud Cuckoolander: Mildly. While Alicia usually acts short-tempered and no-nonsense, she does have some quirks: She has a habit of cooking non FDA-approved food like possum and chicken hawk, and tends to be Brutally Honest even on one of her best days. Her rationally also goes away whenever she is around Vlad due to her intense love for him, and she behaves around him in a stalkerish manner.
  • Cool Big Sis: Her most redeeming trait seems to be that she truly does care about Maddie.
  • Crack Pairing: In-Universe with Vlad.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She has her moments, usually towards Jack.
  • Delusions of Beauty: Implied. She doesn't seem to realize just how unpleasant she can come across to people and believes that Vlad finds her beautiful.
  • Desperately Craves Affection: Especially around Vlad, as Alicia quickly becomes attached to him and is eager to make him love her, which is implied to stem from how she's been alone since her nasty divorce.
  • Determinator: Especially when Vlad is involved, as Alicia will not give up her pursuit of him until he returns her feelings.
  • Does Not Like Men: She has been divorced for over 10 years and claims it was the best decision she ever made. She also still seems to deeply hate her ex and even celebrates his birthday by hitting a piñata that resembles him. However, Vlad seems to be an exception, much to his dismay.
  • The Dreaded:
    • Jack loathes her and tries to find excuses to avoid her whenever she visits.
    • After Alicia falls for Vlad, he becomes truly terrified of her.
  • Fiery Redhead: She has red hair and is very combative, impatient and short-tempered.
  • Everyone Has Standards: While she would prefer if Star married Danny in the hopes of having a rich relative, Alicia still respects her enough not to force her to and values Star's consent.
  • Foil: To her sister Maddie. Alicia is an independent, brawny, short-tempered divorced woman from the countryside, while Maddie is a beautiful, eccentric, shorter, and more pleasant married woman and scientist from the city.
  • Forceful Kiss: In "Staged", she managed to kiss Vlad several times when he ended up stranded at her cabin due to Puck's actions, leaving him Covered in Kisses. Vlad admits that it was also his first kiss ever.
  • Freudian Excuse:
    • It's heavily implied that her failed marriage resulted in her being the bitter woman she is today.
    • Maddie implies in "Snowed" that their family used to be poor as children, which may or may not have contributed to Alicia's interest in obtaining wealth.
  • The Glomp: She has a habit of doing this towards Vlad once they start "dating".
  • Gold Digger: It's implied that part of the reason she's attracted to Vlad is his wealth. She also becomes interested in Danny and Star's relationship after learning Star comes from a rich family.
  • Gonk: She's rather homely compared to her younger sister Maddie, to the point where Vlad is shocked that they are even related.
  • Good Is Not Nice: She does have a good heart underneath her prickly personality.
  • Good Is Not Soft: While ultimately a good person, she is willing to use force to get what she wants.
  • Has a Type: Despite being a proud country woman, her ex-husband was described as being a "yuppie" and she has a crush on Vlad, a rich man from the city.
  • Hidden Depths: "Entranced" reveals that Alicia is a very skilled swimmer and was a pro wrestler during her younger years.
  • Hidden Heart of Gold: She doesn’t always do the best job of showing it but she does sincerely love her family and cares about Vlad for more than just his wealth and looks.
  • Hopeless Suitor: She is unaware that Vlad has no interest in her.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: She sees Vlad as good husband material and thinks she can get him to like her. Then again, the Fentons have said she doesn't have the best taste in men.
  • Hot-Blooded: She has a very short temper and can be quite aggressive.
  • Irony:
    • Vlad is an Abhorrent Admirer to her sister and Alicia becomes one to him.
    • Alicia values a person's choice when it comes to romance but doesn't know in "Entranced" that Vlad is only in love with her because he's under a love potion.
  • Jabba Table Manners: Both Jack and Vlad are disgusted by her lousy table manners.
  • Jerkass Has a Point:
    • While she can be very harsh with Jack, she is not completely wrong about his obsession with ghosts being out of hand, or how it makes him neglect Maddie sometimes.
    • In “Visited”, she points out to the Fentons and Star’s parents that nobody but Star can decide who she dates and no one, including Beatrice, can force her to be with anyone, especially if it’s someone she hates like Donovan Loadman.
    • She hates Jean-Luc Bevier for being a snobby skirt-chasing idiot who doesn’t know how to properly treat women after Maddie told her about him.
  • Jerkass to One: While she's generally a sourpuss and has a habit of rubbing people the wrong way, Jack is the one who gets the worst of her temper and bad attitude.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She tends to be rude, impatient, and ill-mannered, especially towards Jack, but she cares greatly about her sister, niece, and nephew. It's also been hinted that her feelings for Vlad may be more sincere than just being attracted to his wealth.
  • Kindness Ball: She's very sympathetic toward Johnathan and Star for the trouble Beatrice puts them through in "Visited", since she had a similarly horrible relationship with her former mother-in-law and opposes Arranged Marriages due to valuing consent.
  • The Lad-ette: She is less feminine than her sister, and can be aggressive and even violent at times.
  • Lady Looks Like a Dude: Alicia isn't particularly feminine and Vlad has described her as "mannish" more than once.
  • Lethal Chef: She is stated not to be a very good cook, and Vlad dreads the idea of eating her cooking almost as much as he dreads her affection. Albeit it seems more due to her habit of eating non-FDA approved items and using questionable ingredients like possum and chicken hawk.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: She is not a pleasant person and can be difficult to get along with but she's far from a sociopath like Beatrice Traville and possesses redeeming qualities, such as her genuine love for her family and belief that a person should consent to being in a relationship instead of being forced to.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Like her sister and brother-in-law, she doesn’t know that Danny and Vlad are half-ghosts.
  • Love at First Sight: She thought Vlad was good-looking and fell in love with him the moment they met, and is determined to get married to him. Unfortunately for her, Vlad doesn't return the sentiment.
  • Loving a Shadow: It's clear she only likes Vlad for the suave rich gentleman she thinks he is.
  • Love Makes You Crazy: Her rationality pretty much goes out the window once she meets Vlad.
  • Love Martyr: To Vlad.
  • Loving a Shadow: Alicia feelings for Vlad amount to this. She fell in love with him because she viewed him as a handsome and successful businessman, being infatuated with his good looks and class, and also possibly because of his wealth. She fails to realize is that Vlad is a criminal obsessed with her sister Maddie and was initially using her to break up Jack and Maddie's marriage just to have her sister to herself. Vlad quickly regrets being nice to her because she develops feelings for him while he is repulsed by her for her appearance and mannerism.
    • To Alicia's credit, she is shown to genuinely be interested in getting to know Vlad more personally and it is revealed that her feelings are much more sincere than just being attracted to his wealth, status, and looks. However, she reveals that she is aware that Vlad can be quite a ruthless businessman but actually admires him for it, and doesn't hesitate to marry him barely within a week after he seemingly starts reciprocating her affections. What Alicia tragically doesn't see is that Vlad is truly disgusted with her, was forced to marry her due to the effects of a Love Potion, and is planning to murder her to get her out of his life.
  • Lower-Class Lout: Vlad views her as this due to her appearance and boorish mannerisms.
  • Masculine Girl, Feminine Boy: She’s aggressive, crass, and blunt while Vlad is restrained, formal, and sophisticated.
  • Muscles Are Meaningful: She's a very big and brawny woman who's strong enough to easily lift a full-grown man like Vlad Masters bridal style.
  • Mutually Unequal Relation: She sees Vlad as Prince Charming but he views her as a major annoyance at best and the most repulsive creature alive at worst.
  • My Biological Clock Is Ticking: She is older than Maddie, who is already in her 40s, and admits to Vlad that she wants to have children soon, much to his internal horror.
  • Named by the Adaptation: In this series, her maiden name is revealed to be McDonaldson.
  • Nausea Fuel: She is this to Vlad in general because of her unappealing appearance, clingy attitude, and terrible cooking.
  • No Accounting for Taste: She has been stated to have bad taste in men. Her crush on Vlad is a prime example.
  • No Indoor Voice: She is prone to yelling a lot.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: Much to the horror of Vlad.
  • Oblivious to Hatred: She is unaware of Vlad's disdain for her and in fact, believes that he returns her feelings.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: She and Jack do not get along with each other, to say the least.
  • Opposites Attract: A one-sided example on Alicia's part, but she has an unrequited crush on Vlad, with whom she shares nothing in common with.
  • Pet the Dog:
    • She showed genuine sympathy for Johnathan after learning about the abuse that Beatrice put him through, and sides with him due to knowing what it's like to deal with a hateful mother-in-law.
    • Her general dislike of men does not extend to Danny or men who are blood-related.
  • Selective Obliviousness: She seems convinced that Vlad is her boyfriend and his attempts to run away are just him playing hard to get.
  • Self-Proclaimed Love Interest: She claims that Vlad is her boyfriend, but he does not agree.
  • She Cleans Up Nicely: She was willing to wear a violet dress and makeup in hopes of getting Vlad's attention.
  • Sibling Yin-Yang: While she and Maddie seem to generally get along, they have notable differences: Maddie is a beautiful, friendly scientist who lives in the city and is married with children, while Alicia is considered not much to look at and is a more short-tempered, impatient divorcee who lives in the country and has no children.
  • Shipper with an Agenda: She was originally dismissive of Star for being "a dainty city gal". However, once Alicia learned that she is from a wealthy family, she seemed eager at the thought of Danny marrying Star, just to have a rich relative in the family.
  • Smarter Than They Look: Vlad sees her as an idiot, but she has proved to be quite clever at times.
  • Stalker with a Crush: To Vlad.
  • Stalking Is Funny if It Is Female After Male: Unlike most examples in this fic series, her obsessive attitude towards Vlad is played for comedy.
  • Strong Girl, Smart Guy: She's a tough-as-nails country woman who's married to the Manipulative Bastard Vlad Masters.
  • Tender Tomboyishness, Foul Femininity:
    • Inverted and downplayed. She is considerably less pleasant and feminine than her beautiful, Nice Girl sister Maddie, who's still an Action Girl, but Alicia does have a Hidden Heart of Gold that she mainly shows to her family.
    • Compared to Beatrice Traville, anyway. Alicia is a tough, outgoing wilderness woman with a Hidden Heart of Gold who sincerely cares about her family and is mature enough to value others' consent while Beatrice is a sociopathic Rich Bitch who only treats others as tools for her own benefit, including trying to force her granddaughter Star into an unwanted Arranged Marriage with Donovan Loadman, who’s fine with hitting Star for rejecting him, just because he meets her elitist standards by coming from Old Money.
  • Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: Vlad's not exactly tiny, but Alicia is bulkier than him, and isn't afraid to use her strength to get her way.
  • Throw the Dog a Bone: Played With. She finally marries Vlad during "Entranced", though she is oblivious to the fact that he only fell in love with her under the effects of a love potion.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: She's much more tomboyish than her sister.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: A middle-aged version of this trope. She is a hardworking country woman who is not afraid to get her hands dirty. However, she does seem to have a romantic side and is willing to dress up to get a man's attention.
  • Took a Level in Cheerfulness: Alicia becomes much more upbeat and energetic whenever she's around Vlad because of her intense infatuation towards him.
  • Tsundere: She acts pretty confrontational, but she can be kind to her loved ones.
    • Her "dere" side seems to come out more around Vlad after she falls in love with him.
  • Unwanted Spouse: Vlad absolutely abhors her and finds her repulsive, rejecting all of her advances. Alicia, on the other hand, seems determined to marry him at all costs. "Traveled" even shows Vlad having a nightmare where he marries Alicia, causing him to wake up screaming.
    • Thanks to Puck's love potion, she ultimately succeeds in fully becoming this trope by marrying Vlad in "Entranced".
  • Uptight Loves Wild: Inverted with the Wild Alicia falling head over heels for the Uptight Vlad.
  • Yandere: She has some shades of this towards Vlad.
