Misaki Asahara
- Improbable Hair Style: Her hair curls.
- Only Friend: Was this to Tsukiko for a time.
- Strong Family Resemblance: Misaki is near identical to her mother Kaoru.
Tsukiko Wakahisa
- Grand Theft Me: Happens to her more than once by Shiho
- The Load: What Yukio sees her as.
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: When shy, harmless Tsukiko brutally stabs the much taller and stronger Yukio to death.
- Shrinking Violet: Rather shy-natured.
- Stalker with a Crush: Tsukiko is a rather tame example, and it's mostly due to her shyness to approach Ryoto.
- Took a Level in Badass: In chapter 5, she starts to act in a more leader-like role.
Ryoto Tayama
- Coat Cape: For most of the game, Ryoto wears his school blazer over his shoulders.
- Odd Friendship:
- With Yukio. Their personalties are polar opposite, and Ryoto can barely even stand him because of his constant complaining over this, that and everything else. Despite this, he does seem to care about him, even to the point where his anger over him being murdered in Downward Spiral by Kaori leads to his own death.
- Nice Guy: Has always been nice to Tsukiko despite her being the outcast, although admittedly that made her situation worse.
Yukio Iwakura
- Asshole Victim: In the Broken Spirit and Plaything of Love endings.
- Crazy Jealous Guy: Some speculate this is the reason for Yukio's seemingly unprovoked reason for being cruel to Tsukiko.
- Deadpan Snarker: Much to the irritation of the rest of the cast.
- Fatal Flaw: Let's just say his bitching and general rudeness to everyone hasn't worked out very well for him.
- The Friend Nobody Likes: He seems to be this guy in the group. In fact, Ryoto is his only actual friend, and not even he understands why they hang out.
- Jerkass: He is this trope in spades.
- Mr. Fanservice: He takes his shirt off in one scene where he's soaking wet.
- Odd Friendship: As mentioned above, with Ryoto. He can't stand Ryoto's love interest and seems to be exasperated with him most of the time, but yet still hangs around with him.
- Sir Swears Alot: Yukio seems fond of the word 'shit' and its variants.
Kaori Hasegawa
- Cool Big Sis: What Shiho sees her as.
- Survivor Guilt: Has this in relation to her little sister Shiho.
Shiho Hasegawa
- All Just a Dream: What she convinces Kaori everything was in Temptation.
- Break the Cutie: What the other victims of the school did to her in Corruption.
- Cute and Psycho: What she became after the other victims thoughts invaded her mind.
- Sympathetic Murderer: The good part of Shiho never wanted to hurt anyone, but her personality split had other ideas.
- Used to Be a Sweet Kid: She was an adorable, kind young girl before dying and being possessed by the thoughts/feelings of multitude of violent, vengeful spirits.
