Detective Frederick Jenks

Played by: Rupert Booth
The detective tasked with solving the suspicious drowning of Kate Vine.
  • Cowboy Cop: A less intense rendition of this trope, but Jenks still breaks into other people's property with no warrant or permission, steals belongings and assaults a person.
  • Large Ham: Jenks' expressions and mannerisms are exaggerated to consistently hilarious degrees.

Simon Thompson

Played by: Huld Martha
An Atlas student and the boyfriend of Emma Bowman. Simon was apparently the last person to see Kate alive.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Runs away suddenly at the twelfth hour, after Jenks suggests he may have caused Kate's death and then never reappears.

Emma Bowman

Played by: Anarosa De Eizaguirre Butler
A friend of Kate's from college.

Ryan Rand

Played by: John Guilor
The pompous leader of the Atlas business course.
  • Casual Kink: Ryan and Rebecca are heavily implied to have a kinky relationship in a scene where she slaps him and he seems very into it.
Ryan: Oh it's going to be that kind of evening, is it?
Rebecca: If you play your cards right.
    Ryan: Only if you deal.
  • Kavorka Man: Ryan looks remarkably average for a middle aged man but has both: a pretty wife who is willing to kill someone to maintain their relationship and a pretty young mistress.
  • Large Ham

Paul Rand

Played by: Paul Darrow
Ryan's father and the patriarch of the Rand family. Paul primarily focuses on the finances of Atlas and does not seem to engage much with the methods.
  • Cold Ham: Does not raise his voice often, but his stoney gravitas carries entire scenes.
  • Dirty Old Man: Paul has pursued Emma romantically, and seemed to harbour a similar interest in Kate. Rebecca, his daughter-in-law, claims he has a fetish for women dressed as nurses.

Rebecca Rand

Played by: Melanie Gray
The landlady of the village pub: "The George and Dragon" and wife of Ryan Rand.
  • Casual Kink: Her pub scene with Ryan.
  • Woman Scorned: With deadly repercussions. Rebecca killed Kate believing her to be the woman Ryan had an affair with.

James Wilson

Played by: Stephen Mosley
A village hermit and conspiracy theorist, with a penchant for mysticism and growing psychoactive plants.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: James believes that Third Eye (and Atlas by extension) was a cult intended to brain wash people into being slaves, then sell these people to the rich and powerful. He also believes he stopped them. Which Ryan suggests is partly true.
  • I See Dead People: James implies he can talk to the dead using his scrying mirrors.
  • The Stoner: Heavily implied. Rebbeca says he grows cannabis, he has a hookah and grows hallucinogenic plants.

Kate Vine

Played by: Yvonne West
A dead post graduate student found drowned in Edenton's lake, the game revolves about solving her murder.
  • The Ace: Despite her alcoholism, Kate was known to be smart. Enough to qualify for Atlas' Prime Candidate position.
  • The Alcoholic: Almost everyone you speak to mentions Kate's drinking problem.
  • Plot-Triggering Death: Her suspicious death is the reason Jenks travels to the village to investigate.
  • Posthumous Character: Is dead before the game begins.

Lisa Blint

Played by: Ellen Chivers
An ex-Atlas student who was traumatised by the methods used on the course.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: To a lesser extent than James, but she does believe Atlas revolves around devil worship.
