    General

    Mampfen

Classification: Elemental

Portfolio: Mining, Tunneling, Earth

Rank: Divine (Tier IV/Greater)

"Be careful! Don't dig too deep! Diamond Dogs might disturb the Lava Demons! Again!"

Mampfen (his entry here) is the Diamond Dog god of Mining, Tunneling, and Earth, and is a member of the Diamond Dog Pantheon.
  • Accent Relapse: Inverted: he uses the typical Diamond Dog accent for the mortal Diamond Dog's benefit and to show he cares about them. He reveals this when he also reveals he's Crunch the Rock Dog, ascended to Godhood.
Rainbow Dash: ...Did he just use pronouns?
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: He is a Diamond Dog god who embodies Mining, Tunneling, and Earth.
  • Canon Character All Along: It's heavily implied he's actually Crunch the Rockdog, who managed to Ascend to godhood in the First Age. This is eventually confirmed.
  • Determinator: His entry notes that once he starts a task, he will stubbornly continue working until said task is finished.
  • Elemental Embodiment: He embodies Earth, and this shows up in his appearance as a Diamond Dog whose body is made completely of stone.
  • Gondor Calls for Aid: When Firefly recruits him to rescue Wind Whistler from being Abaddon's warden and prison, he doesn't just join the party himself but emits a howl that summons his faithful from all over Diamondia to join him. This essentially adds and entire army to their forces.
  • Good Is Not Soft: Pun aside, he's friendly and easygoing when not working, and he is incredibly loyal to his friends. However, he loathes slavery in all forms and will not hesitate to banish Diamond Dogs who participate in it. He can also turn people into stone, which is used as his severest punishment. When fighting Abaddon to save Wind Whistler, he tears one of Abaddon's arms off and rips out one of his throats.
  • Hard Work Hardly Works: Defied. He wants and expects his people to be self-reliant and pull their own weight in everything they do, which is why he loathes slavery (though he also hates it for moral reasons). Anyone who uses slaves to do their work, such as the pack of Diamond Dogs who antagonized Rarity in Ponyville, would be banished.
  • Lack of Empathy: According to an In-Universe legend among the Diamond Dogs, he was once literally and figuratively 'heartless', and sought to turn anything he deemed 'soft' into stone. A legendary hero (implied to be Megan Williams) gave him a heart, giving him the ability to feel emotions and turning him good in the process. This was true, being Crunch the Rock Dog.
  • Love Redeems: According to an In-Universe legend, he was once literally a heartless being who sought to turn anything 'soft' into stone. But after he was given a heart by Megan Williams, a legendary human heroine from the First Age, he gained the subsequent ability to feel positive emotions, turning good in the process. The legend is true, and he is immensely grateful for Wind Whistler's role in that happening.
  • Mighty Glacier: When he's not tunneling, he's not very fast, instead being more of a 'tank' in terms of combat.
  • Slavery Is a Special Kind of Evil: He abhors Diamond Dogs who participate in slavery. While he views it as morally wrong, he also hates it because forcing someone else to do the work will encourage laziness among his people. The Diamond Dogs who antagonized Rarity in Ponyville were revealed to have been banished by him for this reason.
  • Taken for Granite: His most fearsome ability is to turn people into stone, as noted by his entry. According to a Diamond Dog legend, he once used it to turn anything he deemed 'soft' into stone. But after Megan Williams managed to give him a heart, he now reserves his ability for punishing those who committed severe crimes.
  • Top God: Subverted. Although he plays a major part in Diamond Dog society as one of their gods (and their evolution), he doesn't directly rule his people. Instead, he serves as a divine mentor for his people, instructing the Diamond Dogs on laws and other things. When asked why, his answer was this:
Mampfen: Mampfen God of Mining! Not God of Ruling!
  • True Companions:
    • He treats all of his friends as this. While he's somewhat greedy like all Diamond Dogs, he sees his friends as part of his 'collection' and will not part with them for anything, not even material riches.
    • He's this to Wind Whistler, after her playing a key role in him getting a heart. It's such that when informed of the mission to save her from being Abaddon's warden, he instantly agrees and summons his faithful to help without a moment's hesitation.
  • Undying Loyalty: He has this to Wind Whistler for her role in him having a heart, as it was her who allowed him to be beaten and given one. As such, Mampfen jumps at the chance to save her from being Abaddon's prison and warden, and brings an entire army of his worshipers with him.

    Kampfhund

Classification: ???

Portfolio: ???

Rank: Divine (???)

    Scrappus

Classification: Elemental/Ethereal

Portfolio: Failure, Mishap, Recklessness

Rank: N/A

"Let me at ‘em!"

Scrappus (his entry here) is the young Diamond Dog god of Failure, Mishap, and Recklessness, and a member of the Diamond Dog Pantheon known for his extreme brattiness.

    Grausem

Classification: ???

Portfolio: Aggression, Territoriality, (WIP)

Rank: Divine (???)

    Schmerzen

Classification: Ethereal

Portfolio: Pain, Fear, Protection

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Schmerzen (her entry here) is the Diamond Dog goddess of Pain, Fear, and Protection, and is a benevolent, protective member of her pantheon despite what she embodies.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Diamond Dog goddess who embodies Pain, Fear, and Protection.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: Despite being a goddess of Pain and Fear, she also embodies said concepts when they are used for positive purposes, such as detecting potential disasters and figuring out how to heal serious injuries and illnesses. This is very important in Diamond Dog society, since lots of mining accidents happen. She has also stated that pain and fear are how a body responds to danger, which informs people how to lessen pain and danger in the future. This is reflected in how she herself embodies Protection.
  • Barrier Warrior: As a goddess of Protection, she is capable of producing barriers and shields.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's a motherly and kind Diamond Dog goddess who, despite embodying Pain and Fear, deeply cares for her mortal subjects and wants to protect them and alleviate their pain. As a result, she's beloved by the Diamond Dogs, and images and temples are created in her name so they could pray for protection. However, as noted by her entry, it's advisable not to enrage her, as being a goddess of Pain makes her extremely dangerous when she wants to be.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: As a Diamond Dog goddess, her racial magic gives her geokinetic abilities.
  • Emotion Eater: As a goddess of Fear, she gets stronger from it.
  • Gentle Giant: She's noted to be a large Diamond Dog goddess, though she's smaller than Mampfen due to her divine 'age'. She's also a motherly and kind goddess who, despite embodying Pain and Fear, loves her mortal subjects very much and wants to help remove pain.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Her entry notes she can unintentionally come across as patronizing due to constantly talking in a motherly way.
  • I Should Have Been Better: One of her flaws is that due to her emotional attachment to her subjects, she tends to take it extremely hard whenever she fails to protect them somehow.
  • Made of Evil: She was an entity born from the pain and fear that resulted from various mining accidents the Diamond Dogs would suffer over the course of history. However, it's subverted; under Mampfen's influence/tutelage, she would not develop into a 'constructive Evil' goddess, but instead a purely benevolent goddess who embodied the positive aspects of pain and fear so the Diamond Dogs would have someone to teach them how to alleviate pain and make mining safer.
  • Meaningful Name: Schmerzen's name translates to "pain" in German, and she's a goddess of Pain, but is a purely benevolent one who uses her domain to help alleviate pain and make mining safer for Diamond Dogs.
  • Supernatural Fear Inducer: As a goddess of Fear, she can unleash howls that strike fear in those who hear them.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: Averted. She's described as appearing as a scarred, white-furred wolf appearance-wise, and she embodies Pain and Fear. However, she has not a single mean bone in her body (though it's advisable not to anger her) and wants to help alleviate pain, whether from illnesses or accidents. This is reflected in her domain of Protection.

    Sicher Moufette

Classification: Ethereal

Portfolio: Safety, Workers, Health

Rank: Divine (Tier III/Intermediate)

Sicher Moufette (her entry here) is the Skunk/Diamond Dog hybrid goddess of Safety, Workers, and Health, and is a benevolent person who promotes mine safety in Diamondia.
  • Anthropomorphic Personification: She's a Skunk/Diamond Dog hybrid goddess who embodies Safety, Workers, and Health.
  • Benevolent Boss: Especially to her worshippers, viewing the well-being of her workers as an utmost priority. It's justified by her portfolio, which encompasses Safety, Workers, and Health.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Despite her own flaws, Sicher is very empathetic and protective towards the Diamond Dog miners she watches over, and tries to promote workplace safety for them. Thus, she is enraged when people don't take mining safety seriously. Exploiting and/or abusing miners, as well as cutting corners in safety regulations out of greed, will be promptly sprayed in the face by Sicher as punishment.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Being half-Diamond Dog, Sicher has earth elemental magics.
  • The Empath: As a goddess of Workers, Sicher has an empathic connection with the miners she watches over.
  • God of Good: Sicher is a goddess who embodies Safety, Workers, and Health, making her the divine patron of Diamond Dogs who work in the mines. Fittingly, her powers relate to healing and protecting miners from the dangers of their job.
  • Healer God: Sicher is a goddess of Safety, Workers, and Health, and thus has powers that relate to healing injured workers and protecting them from harm while they work in the mines. She takes her job very seriously, and thus is naturally enraged whenever Diamond Dogs try abusing or exploiting their workers without care for their health.
  • Healing Factor: As a goddess of Health, Sicher heals quicker than normal.
  • Healing Hands: As a goddess of Health, Sicher can heal any disease or injury, as well as cast protection spells that ward off illnesses.
  • I Choose to Stay: Justified. Having seen miners die to unsafe workplace conditions daily thanks to greedy Underholds exploiting them and cutting corners, Sicher chose to stay as a member of the Diamond Dog pantheon to help protect these miners. Her father, Moufette, respected her decision.
  • The Immune: As a goddess of Health, Sicher is immune to all diseases.
  • I Should Have Been Better: Being the patron goddess of Diamond Dog miners, Sicher tends to take it really hard whenever a miner got injured, sick, or died without her knowledge or intervention.
  • I Will Show You X!: When a corrupt Diamond Dog baron tried to get away with not buying emergency supplies or ensuring proper safety conditions for his miners by invoking his scent ties, Sicher in her fury would promptly spray him in the face — a punishment made worse by the Diamond Dogs' keen sense of smell.
Sicher Moufette: What do baron [CENSORED] mean mine couldn't [CENSORED] afford [CENSORED] emergency supplies?! That [CENSORED] greedy [CENSORED]!!!
Corrupt Diamond Dog baron: Baron have scent ties!
Sicher Moufette: ...Scent ties?! Sicher [CENSORED] show baron [CENSORED] scent ties! (sprays Diamond Dog baron in the face)
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Sicher is hot-tempered and foul-mouthed, but she genuinely cares for the Diamond Dog miners she looks after and is enraged whenever people endanger them, intentionally or not.
  • Lady Swears-a-Lot: Despite her empathy and benevolence, Sicher has a very foul mouth, which mostly shows up whenever she's chewing out Diamond Dogs for not taking mining safety seriously, intentionally or not. It's noted to be a flaw of hers as her cussing can cause problems at times.
  • Meaningful Name: Sicher's name translates to "secure" in German, and she is a goddess of Safety, Workers, and Health who tries to promote work safety and health benefits for miners.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: As a Skunk/Diamond Dog hybrid, Sicher has a Diamond Dog's body type, but with a Skunk's front legs and tail, and a head that combines traits of both races. She also has black stripes running down her head, back, and tail.
  • Modest Royalty: Sicher is the hybrid daughter of Moufette, the leader of the Great Skunk Pantheon and creator of the Great Skunks, which technically makes her royalty. However, she prefers to wear the attire of a mine foreman.
  • No OSHA Compliance: Defied. She punishes those who cut corners and endanger their workers for the sake of profit.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Downplayed; Diamond Dogs are normally this, but Sicher being half-Skunk made her body type look less so compared to her pure-blooded peers.
  • You No Take Candle: Like all Diamond Dogs, Sicher speaks this way. It's justified as part of the Diamond Dogs' language involves scents, which can't be translated, so what Sicher says comes off as uncultured and rudimentary at best.
