    Protagonists (canon)

General

  • Age Lift: All of them are explicitly at least 18, but for specifics:
    • 24 years: Jou
    • 21 years: Taichi, Yamato, Sora, Koushirou, Mimi, Meiko
    • 20 years: Miyako
    • 19 years: Ken, Rina
    • 18 years: Takeru, Hikari, Daisuke, Iori
    • Unknown: Ryo, Mirei
  • Characterization Marches On: Due to the Early-Installment Weirdness caused by this being the first time the author had to debut such a massive main cast, the individual quirks and character flaws are not as prominent initially as they are later on after their initial introduction.
  • Debut Queue: Admittedly going to happen when you have at least 13 human characters and 13 Digimon partners to introduce as the main characters.
  • Fatal Flaw:
    • Taichi: Commitment Issues. A man whore at most when it comes to relationships with women, he can't ever bring himself to commit to a relationship, since he has apparently gotten in trouble numerous times with women for the fact he doesn't appear to want anything more than sex with them an nothing more than that. Not only that, but he feels like he's the entire reason to blame for Meiko's issues in her life because he was unable to commit to a relationship when she confessed her love to him when they were younger; all Taichi did at the time was run away in fright unable to determine what to do next. Taichi initially had a crush on another girl entirely, but upon learning she was taken he went into a depressed state, and when Meiko confessed to him, he mistook her feelings as trying to manipulate him and he ran off because of it.
    • Yamato: Delinquent. Yamato is part of a band known as the Teenage Wolves in which he is the lead singer. Often times his band is very, very much used to orgies with a special guest if they're a girl, primarily because Yamato's band mates have No Sense of Personal Space, to which Yamato himself isn't no saint either in this regard. Even with his relationship with Sora, he's often pressured by her because he fears corrupting her innocence if he ever introduced her to his band mates considering he knows Sora is sexually charged often, but he fears losing her to his band mates because of this. Not only that, but when it comes to his band mate Chris, he absolutely hates the guy but he doesn't bother reporting him even though it's heavily implied Chris has committed a serious crime and the band mates are trying to warn Yamato to kick him out, but Yamato's instead trying to think of a means of trying to Make It Look Like an Accident regarding what he intends for Chris.
    • Sora: Hates Being Alone. Often times Sora is by herself a lot in the story; something which drives her crazy a lot because of how much she truly cares about Yamato, and the fact Yamato is almost always not very often with her because of his concerts. Ever since having been bedridden for a while due to a virus, this fear of her reduced her to a Shrinking Violet which makes her often difficult to properly socialize with others because as Mimi learns the hard way with the girls out on the town, Sora snaps in a breakdown upon missing Yamato's affection, to the point Mimi calls Yamato to show up and pick her up and orders him to stay with her to keep Sora sane. As Yamato attempts to comfort Sora, she's undergoing a Sanity Slippage until Yamato uses a trick to calm her to sleep beside him. During the nap, she has a nightmare and is shaking and awaking screaming, which she only calms down because Yamato fell asleep next to her and has her in an embrace.
    • Koushirou: Nervous Wreck. How quickly he is to head to Taichi's the moment things begin to go haywire to seek out help; having known Taichi for years due to being an old friend of his having been saved by bullies be it human or Digimon, Koushirou freaks out when just about anything differs from how things were before and so much as the slightest change in patterns of something makes him far more nervous than he ever should be, even if sometimes it is warranted. When Tentomon first evolved into Kabuterimon, he freaked out at the sight of him and thought Tentomon became a nightmarish killing machine as a result. At first he couldn't battle well with Kabuterimon at all, both due to what he knows could happen giving him constant paranoia, and the fact he doesn't want to break any rules or commit a crime by accident when using any form higher than Child in regards to Tentomon or his friend's Digimon involved in his situations for that matter.
    • Mimi: Extreme Libido. Mimi's sex drive is the biggest out of the entire cast; she has and can confirm that she has slept with every man in the whole group at least twice, with Taichi being the only exception at first until their second H-Scene in which Taichi learns of this fact about her. Not only that, but her sex drive in the past has caused her to get pregnant before and lose the baby each time it happened due to her reckless sense of lust. She has a similar issue to Taichi with Commitment Issues, but it's mostly out of fear of being able to feel satisfied with herself when she finally chooses a man to stick with for good. Koushirou hasn't had sex with her yet despite having known her, primarily because Mimi deemed Koushirou to prone to freaking out to the point she fears if she approaches Koushirou with the offer he'll mistake her for wanting to try and rape him.

Yagami Taichi

Debut: Digimon Re: Adventure

  • Alcohol-Induced Idiocy: Apparently he did meet Yamato prior to the story's beginning; he was in a threesome with him and Sora and Taichi was still fast asleep by the time the two already left, causing him to forget the initial meeting even happened since they didn't leave him anything to contact him with further.
  • Ascended Fanon: His father getting killed off during the Parrotmon incident is inspired by a few roleplays the author had with a friend that commonly used this as a backstory for virtually every alternate take on Taichi they ever used for their RPs.
  • Berserk Button: Don't touch the jacket, don't hurt his friends or family, and if you so much as scare Meiko he's going to follow yo around with a Greymon ready to kick your ass.
  • Commitment Issues: His Fatal Flaw. Due to this factor alone, he's partially to blame for Meiko's horrible lifestyle to the point it comes to haunt him big time when he sees her again after so many years, since he realizes had he been more willing to be in an active relationship with her, he could've easily saved Meiko a whole lot of trouble. Meiko doesn't hold it against Taichi at all either; everyone else does considering once they realize this, some of them get rather negative very quickly towards Taichi. Hikari admittedly rebels a lot because of this alone; she dislikes having someone with zero capability to commit to a relationship to try and be in charge of her love and or sex life, considering the fact everyone who already hates Taichi tends to call him a man whore in one way or another anyways considering he has slept with almost every female lead in the story at least once.
  • Disappeared Dad: His father, who has next to no presence in the actual anime despite being alive, is killed off in the prologue of this fic.
  • Extreme Libido: Not as bad as Mimi's, but it's another flaw of his he has to deal with. Depending on the circumstances he often can't remember how many women he had slept with, who, or how often with the same one or more.
  • Forgotten First Meeting: Downplayed; he had met Yamato and Sora at a bar while drunk and the three of them took part in a threesome, especially since, as Yamato puts it due to remembering it clearly, that Taichi has the same libido issues as Mimi to where he didn't refuse Sora's offer to join her and Yamato in the bedroom. Taichi wakes up the next day in a hotel room with the other two long having left, and Taichi waking up nude in a bed with no memories of last night due to his hangover.
  • Idiot Hero: How many times he could've stopped bad things from happening had he took the time to think can all boil down to this. His Commitment Issues above seem to be the biggest thing bugging him though.
  • Interface Spoiler: The story tags list him as being paired with Meiko, meaning his sex scene with Mimi in Chapter 1 was just a one night stand exactly as it was intended. Then again he does have sex with Mimi a second time to let out some pent up frustration after having not had sex for a full week after having been oddly prudish just to try and appease to Meiko until Meiko told him to stop and just screw someone for his own sanity.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: Subverted in that this has gotten him into trouble in the past, but he's a very nice person aside from his commitment issues.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • His introduction and debut in the fic parallels the prequel movie made for Digimon Adventure with the Greymon and Parrotmon fight.
    • His dad dying in the same incident is also noted above in Ascended Fanon.
    • While so far no appearance of the Digimon in question, Taichi wears his father's jacket in an identical fashion to how Gankoomon of the Royal Knights wears a jacket as a cape.
  • Noodle Incident: A rumor spreads around often that Taichi is apparently so horny he'd be perfectly willing to ask Hikari to have sex with him and she would give him her full consent since she always had been asking for it. Whether or not Taichi and Hikari did have sex beforehand at all or not, Hikari does have her own deviant of this of sometimes dreaming of herself getting fucked hard by her older brother, and it apparently happens very often due to how often Hikari has difficulty talking to her brother when it isn't related to anything Taichi himself did directly to have her avoid him.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: He apparently can't bring himself to be his usual horny self when it comes to Meiko whatsoever.
  • Tragic Keepsake: His father's jacket.

Agumon

Debut: Digimon Re: Adventure

  • Adaptational Badass: Much like Gatomon, his default form is meant to be Greymon, meaning he's meant to be perpetually Adult Level like her; emphasis on meant. As Agumon is very out of shape with his strength overall due to constant slacking, he's primarily in Agumon form, but is still capable of going into Greymon without Taichi needing to trigger it first.
  • Adults Are Useless: Technically his perpetual default form should be Greymon in this incarnation, as he shows in the present day he can actually evolve back into Greymon without even needing Taichi nearby. However, Agumon is so out of shape over the 15 years he's been known to exist to Taichi that he's lost the inherent ability to maintain Adult indefinitely.
  • Big Eater: While not explicit that he did, he ate the most stuff regarding the pizza everyone had at their first get together event. Downplayed in the aftermath of him and Taichi being stuck in the Digital World for a month, in which he learns to not be so problematic about this or his Picky Eater self beforehand.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: As Greymon when compared to his prior forms.
  • Hypocrite: Sometimes complains about certain foods, eats them anyways, often just as an excuse to invade someone else's kitchen behind Taichi's back.
  • Idiot Hero: Doesn't tend to think a lot when it comes to strategy; only thing that comes to mind is to use a lot of brute force.
  • Picky Eater: Changes his mind a lot about the food he eats as to whether he'll have any of it or not.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: His Fatal Flaw; his combat style has no subtly, and his Boisterous Bruiser habits often lead to him very often Calling Your Attacks, to the point Taichi often has to enter the ring himself to help Greymon function properly.
  • Shown Their Work: Taichi's incapability of getting Agumon to achieve MetalGreymon is because he's trying too hard to force it to happen; in the original virtual pet games and the Digimon World games, in which trying to forcefully achieve a certain evolution will more than likely instead result in an undesired one.
  • Wham Shot: Evolving into SkullGreymon and having none of the problems his canon self had with the form; in fact he's just simply more of a disgruntled version of himself as Greymon.

Ishida Yamato

  • Aggressive Submissive: Inverted; he's a relatively casual with his sexual advances, often being very tame and mild about them and only acting when Sora or any other girl gives him consent. Upon entering the bedroom, it's not too hard to understand why he's an inversion of this.
  • BDSM: How his and Sora's sex life is; he's the Sadist to Sora's Masochist. Sora is normally a very uptight individual outside of her initial Sick Episode when she's first introduced, and then the fact Yamato has to be sensitive with Sora even though he's given full consent to be a Sadist in bed, and Sora is giving consent with her being a Masochist. Safe Words have been used properly whenever Yamato ends up going too far in a session, in which he'll immediately stop and comfort Sora.
  • Delinquent:
    • His Fatal Flaw.
    • That and the fact he only has sex with Sora when he knows nobody is around because he fears being mistaken for a rapist with how he and Sora have sex in general.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Can be kind of a Jerkass in his mannerisms, but that mostly stems from him being The Stoic for the most part, and during Chapter 9's intro when talking with Taichi, he doesn't show much emotion towards explaining to Taichi how he first met him and Sora, considering Taichi didn't remember it due to being drunk so badly. However, when Agumon asks about food when he wakes up not long afterwards, Yamato warms up and offers to try and cook for Agumon at some point to see if his own cooking can appease Agumon's Picky Eater nature.
  • Oh, Crap!: While fighting Chris in an abandoned elementary school, they both realize too late they're making noise as a certain sleeping Ultimorian Deity is literally a few feet away from them... while in his Phase 4 form, in which his arm mounted turrets slowly activate upon detecting movement.
  • Real Men Cook: Hinted at with his offer towards Agumon in Chapter 9 when suggesting he can sate Agumon's Picky Eater needs.
  • Sadist: Played with. He's the original example of a Sadist played straight in the bedroom with Sora, due to their BDSM relationship being an aversion of the stereotypical submissiveness seen in fiction. In terms of genuine hostility towards anyone, however, he's relatively harmless so long as you're not acting out of any form of malice or flat out trying to harm innocents. In that case he'll gladly escalate things into a brutal fight with Gabumon more than willing to defeat any normal challenger; the only issue he had for a while was his fellow band mate Chris.
  • The Stoic: How his dialogue tends to come across at times.

Tachikawa Mimi

  • Adaptational Curves: She doesn't have an Impossible Hourglass Figure, but she's indeed more noticeably curvier than her canon counterpart. While many men Mimi is more than willing to flaunt her breasts, she's embarrassed when men instead focus on her ass.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Her Ms. Exposition nature when she helps explain things that Koushirou has researched about why the group came together, as well as some of the world building aspects of how different the Digimon Re: Adventure world is from its canon counterpart.
  • All Women Are Lustful: She can control her Extreme Libido to a degree, but it's difficult to go too long without some kind of sexual activity in her daily routine. It ends up screwing her both figuratively and literally with Chapter 9, in which she planned for a girl's day out, only for the repeated interruption of male influence to cause her to sneak off with Wallace to have sex.
  • Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?: Mimi has a fetish involving her being in rapey encounters with some men she sleeps with, often her being very submissive with a strong partner handling her with a good amount of force to do as he pleases with her; Mimi doesn't indulge in this fetish often, but Chronicler is more than willing to satisfy Mimi's desire for this when they first meet. However, Chronicler ends up being too concerned about Mimi's consent and being romantic about their time in bed, and Mimi's disappointed in the aftermath that Chronicler wasn't forceful in the slightest.
  • The Bechdel Test: Lampshades this during Chapter 9 of Digimon Re: Adventure, and so does the narrative. During a girl's day out at a nearby mall, Mimi seems to be actively trying to avoid so much as mentioning men in any way or form, especially after a handsome man crosses her path to the point she becomes Distracted by the Sexy and she tries her best in her thoughts to avoid thinking about it.
'Not dignifying such a sight when I'm trying to pass a test!' Mimi thought, as perhaps trying to spend an entire day without so much as bringing up the thought of men was easier said than done. With her type of sexual activity as her daily routine, an intervention doesn't sound like a bad idea, but given her prior track record, even she should've known ahead of time that she would have difficulties with this feeble attempt thus far.
  • Commitment Issues: Has this to a similar degree as Taichi, but this is because of her Extreme Libido causing her to sometimes return to her previous bedroom partners in hopes of a good fuck, considering she has difficulties trying to start a relationship and avoiding the subject of sex.
  • Did You Just Romance Cthulhu?: Downplayed; Chronicler is a Humanoid Abomination at most, considering he's a Half-Human Hybrid with Deity lineage in his DNA. Still, she willingly decides to agree with Chronicler's own Extreme Libido issues and the two have a sex scene which takes up the remainder of Chapter 9 in the AO3 version of Digimon Re: Adventure.
  • Eagleland: Much of her life had her being raised in the United States, even though her parents are Japanese and so is she; she studied abroad in the United States for several years, and ended up losing her ability to speak Japanese more clearly because of how long she had spent learning to speak English.
  • Enemy Within: She has one in the form of Lilithmon X, or so she thinks, considering nobody is actually inside her; it's just the fact she inevitably faces her own demons and her mind registers it as Lilithmon X.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Rape fetish she may have and all, but she'll without question turn down actual rapists who want to have sex with her in a heartbeat. Chris learned the hard way to not mess with Mimi in this regard, especially as Palmon first evolved into Togemon to force Chris to back off after Mimi already turned down his "offer" to go to a hotel for the night.
  • Extreme Libido: Her high sex drive makes it very difficult to not go more than a few days without some kind of sexual activity going on, be it actual intercourse or more masturbation. Her Extreme Libido is also Mimi's Fatal Flaw.
  • Fan Disservice: Her sex scene with Chronicler in Chapter 9, not simply because of how rapey Chronicler could come across, but despite Mimi giving her consent, it's clear something is clearly wrong with Chronicler's mentality going through a Sanity Slippage, indicating Mimi could've very much been in danger had she refused. Mimi, on the other hand, saw no issue at first; she gave consent willingly and is more frustrated that Chronicler wasn't rapey enough for her.
  • Fatal Flaw: Extreme Libido. True, she has the same Lust Fatal Flaw as Chronicler, the difference is that Mimi actually has an active sex life to warrant Lust not being her primary Fatal Flaw so much as instead her Extreme Libido being her Fatal Flaw instead. Due to her high sex drive, Mimi has a tough time trying to settle down with any potential suitor without eventually turning back to some of her prior bedroom partners and desiring sex with them to sate her hormonal desires. Her biggest reason for being incredibly difficult around Koushirou is because she believes Koushirou will look at her like "My Girl Is a Slut" in a more negative light, such as viewing her as having the same brand of Commitment Issues as Taichi has towards his own romance partners. Not only that, but her planned girl's day out in Chapter 9 ends up completely backfiring because she could no longer stay committed to the idea after far too much outside influence from men in some capacity, leading her to sneaking out with sex on her mind.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook: She's introduced as living in a house with doubles as a small outdoor café, and she and Palmon can cook food that even Agumon is willing to eat.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Much like what is shown in Our War Game, Mimi's guest bedroom has a lot of plushies; the only reason she doesn't keep them in her main bedroom is because she doesn't want to be viewed as a child by whomever her current bedroom partner is.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • She seems to be a lot smarter than she lets on when she serves as a Ms. Exposition during Koushirou's presentation towards the other chosen as to explain the basics of what's going on and who they are.
    • Of the Chosen, she's one of the few who not only has achieved her Digimon's Adult Level form, but also is very, very close to achieving Perfect Level provided she hasn't already done so in some way or form. In other words, this means she has been a tamer for a longer time than what is initially shown with her introduction alone.
    • Mimi actually dislikes the idea of being perceived as a slut, especially concerning her Extreme Libido issues and her Lovable Sex Maniac nature. As much as she does love sexual intimacy, she wants a relationship that can not only provide that, but an actual romantic bond to her partner, rather than just an empty feeling she has in the aftermath of most of her sexual encounters.
    • She also full well knows the fine line between her rape fetish and an actual rapist, hence why in the latter case she refused Chris' offer to go to a hotel one night for sex when she knew Chris wouldn't be taking no for an answer, and thus Palmon evolving to Togemon the first time to kick his ass.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: She is a very popular bedroom partner for Taichi because of her eagerness to have sex, especially considering the two of them both have some kind of flaw with their Extreme Libido.
  • Madonna-Whore Complex: Averted; she has traits of both sides, such as having some the morals of the Madonna, and having the lustful sex drive of the Whore, but she doesn't have enough definitive characteristics of either or to be labeled as one or the other exclusively. Trying to label her as one or the other makes her come across as an Oxymoronic Being; she's a Nice Gal who tries to have her female friend's best interests in mind and is all about mutual consent, but she'll turn down anyone who doesn't take no for an answer from her and she's got an actual sex life before marriage, and even despite her rape fetish, but she outright avoids anybody who is genuinely horrible as an individual when it comes to their own heinous desires for sex like with Chris.
  • Ms. Exposition: She can be seen as Koushirou's mouthpiece because of how Koushirou has a trouble of providing the exposition himself in easy to grasp terminology, so Mimi explains things for him because she can word things better and more organized than he can.
  • My Girl Is a Slut: Deconstructed; Mimi is unhappy with her life because of her various failed attempts at a relationship with prior bedroom partners, and the fact she hates being accused of this trope despite knowing how true it is. She tries her damnedest to avoid coming across as this to Koushirou, to the point often times when she does need to fulfill her sexual needs, she sometimes comes across as unfaithful towards him because of keeping her various sexual outings a secret from him.
  • Not Even Bothering with the Accent: While it's true she's meant to have a Southern Belle accent, the author hadn't dropped actually typing said accents or dialects directly into his dialogue for the characters, so initially this trope was Averted because the author still had made the attempts to try and manually write a character's specific type of accent. Once the author simply decided to not bother actually typing accents into a given character's dialogue as to instead have a one-off line in the narration state a character's accent or dialect instead, this trope ends up being Played Straight with Mimi's later appearances.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • Has the realization that in the aftermath of Chapter 9, she may be back home now, but she's realizing with Chronicler appearing in her house that she did indeed just sleep with a half-deity the night prior; a half-deity who actively represents everything Mimi hates to eventually become.
    • Also freaks out when she learns from Palmon that she slept with who was effectively Flare and Tempest's boss, which also confirms even more that the events at the end of Chapter 9 did indeed happen after all, as Palmon actually knows who Chronicler is.
  • Promoted to Love Interest: For Koushirou; for Taichi she's a Romantic False Lead.
  • Southern Belle: Has this accent from the English dub retained.

Takaishi Takeru

  • Delinquent: Not as much as his brother, but he qualifies to a degree.
  • Does Not Know His Own Strength: His Fatal Flaw; having been blessed with incredible stamina, an attractive appearance, and while not the biggest dick still pretty impressive enough on its own for his age, he is a popular subject of sexual partners for girls to seek out. Unfortunately, this is a double-edged sword for them as they don't tend to learn until too late that there is something known as too much of a good thing; in the bedroom Takeru is a brute when it comes to his stamina and how unwittingly rough he is with his partners during intercourse, and also the various positions he prefers which showcase his immense strength very well. As Takeru's mind is glazed over in pleasure, he can't think properly to try and do gentle with a girl when having sex with her. Hikari, even though she can handle any punishment Takeru can give in this regard, even she has her limits considering their relationship is more open and she scolds Takeru immensely if she hears he's too rough with a particular girl. Mimi even flat out refuses to have sex with Takeru because she'll break under the pressure if she does, and Miyako is scared shitless of the idea of having to attempt anything sexual with Takeru. In fact, he's the entire reason Mimi wants to organize a girl's only trip out on town after the initial meeting, because Mimi doesn't want Meiko exposed to Takeru's brand of sex.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: He's far more innocent in this regard when compared to Taichi or Mimi, but he's also notorious for being incredibly rough and having a good amount of stamina, so he's not exactly everyone's cup of tea unless you have stamina that can match his own because otherwise you'll either break trying to endure his incredible stamina or have to forcefully blue ball Takeru a good night just to get him to stop. Thankfully Hikari has him on a leash by virtue of having the perfect amount of stamina for Takeru.

Patamon

  • Adaptational Badass: Angemon doesn't even break a sweat with kicking GrandisKuwagamon's ass, considering he completely dominates against him in their fight.
  • Ascended Meme: Of how Patamon is typically a Memetic Badass in the canon, although here given an explanation; here he is the Seraphimon of the Three Archangels reincarnated, and thus his absurd strength is a remnant of his past life.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: GrandisKuwagamon never stood a fucking chance.
  • The Dreaded: After his first showcase of Angemon's battle prowess against Ultimate Level GrandisKuwagamon, Yamato and Garurumon are stunned silent as to what they both just saw from the kind of power Angemon has.
  • Forgotten Fallen Friend: He was apparently Raiga's mentor many moons ago, but due to his death and subsequent choices upon reincarnating, it turned him into a Broken Pedestal for Raiga and thus Raiga chooses to flat out ignore him as much as possible out of the fact she feels even remotely mentioning him is a disgrace from what he had used to be.
  • Olympus Mons: Archangel Seraphimon reincarnated.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Angemon was no stranger to this trope as it is already, be it the anime or the games, but considering this particular Patamon is the reincarnation of the Seraphimon of the Three Archangels, there's a bit more justification as to why he's considered this trope this time around.
  • That Man Is Dead: Wasn't exactly the nicest of people as Seraphimon, borderline racist against humankind. Then he gets killed, Raiga mourns his death, but once he ends up reincarnated as a Partner Digimon who is glad to be Takeru's partner, he seems to have invoked this while at the same time unwittingly destroying his own pedestal Raiga had for him.
  • Walking Spoiler
  • Wham Line: Anything that refers to him as an Archangel casually gives away the fact he's THE Seraphimon of The Three Archangels reincarnated.
  • Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?: GrandisKuwagamon asks him this upon struggling to hold back Patamon as Angemon, as it's very, very clear that Devimon's not going to stand even the slightest chance against Angemon in the slightest if the two ever fought; considering the absolute thrashing Angemon gives GrandisKuwagamon, he's single-handedly the strongest Adult Level form of the whole cast.

Yagami Hikari

  • Aura Vision: Implied, but she needs to have a form of pre-existing familiarity with someone for it to kick in. Roy's disgusting nature was so abhorrent to her senses that she initially was unaware he was there and mistook said aura as coming from Chris. Since Chris was able to hide it well on the surface, Hikari's natural Horrible Judge of Character blinded her to danger.
  • Big Brother Worship: She very much holds Taichi on such a massive pedestal that she honestly can never see herself as being unable to forgive him for anything he may do that would be wrong. When Meiko asks if Hikari would never forgive Taichi deciding to kill a close friend because they were becoming a danger to everyone else, Hikari insists she wouldn't hold it against Taichi at all. She doesn't even blame Taichi for the death of their father, either. It sometimes just gets plain creepy as to how far Hikari is willing to take this Undying Loyalty to Taichi for, considering she physically can never see Taichi as doing anything wrong in her eyes; the aforementioned question from Meiko and Hikari's answer to that doesn't help.
  • Character Exaggeration: Played for Drama with Hikari's Big Brother Worship, because she can get downright creepy with the implications of just how far she's willing to take her belief that Taichi can do no wrong in her eyes.
  • Erotic Dream: Would sometimes have these involving herself getting fucked by her own brother, and would usually lead to her having a Nocturnal Emission as a result.
  • Fatal Flaw: Her Big Brother Worship is basically Undying Loyalty to a fault with her, and it's something she'll never logically break out of because nothing about her Big Brother Worship is logical at all once you consider just what she's willing to allow Taichi to get away with. Asked if Taichi has to kill a close friend and if Hikari will never forgive him? Hikari states she'll not hold any ill will towards Taichi. Her numerous Erotic Dreams about Taichi? Aside from making it awkward to talk to Taichi during the day, it doesn't stop her Big Brother Worship in the slightest. If questioned whether or not she'd follow a suicidal order from Taichi that endangers her life and doesn't really benefit everyone else all that much? She'll not answer you, but she'll follow through with it mentally.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: She kind of lets Chris get a little too close for comfort without even realizing his true colors.
  • Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant: Just the sheer amount of stuff she's perfectly willing to let her brother Taichi get away with, regardless of how in the right or wrong Taichi is, and showcase a perpetual Undying Loyalty Big Brother Worship towards him despite anything problematic with Taichi's decisions tend to creep people out at times with their questions for her regarding Taichi doing things either morally ambiguous if not downright villainous, and Hikari wouldn't bat an eye in the process regardless.
  • Nocturnal Emission: A rare female example at that. Hikari would sometimes have these whenever she would dream about having sex with Taichi at night, and it would leave her incredibly embarrassed to be so much as anywhere near Taichi for the remainder of the day after she wakes up.
  • Out-of-Character Alert: When she's reluctant to be near her brother Taichi, it's because the prior night she had an Erotic Dream about him and it's making her feel incredibly awkward about him.
  • Undying Loyalty: Her Big Brother Worship has her viewing Taichi as this paragon who can do no wrong, and even if questioned what she would think of Taichi if Taichi ever had to kill someone if it meant benefiting the greater good, she wouldn't ever hold it against Taichi at all, and the fact she plainly admits this showcases something is just plain wrong with Hikari's mentality in this regard.

Gatomon

  • Affectionate Nickname: An embarrassing one at that considering something she tries to hide. It's a nickname she got from Mistymon once it became apparent that, as Angewomon, she was purring like a cuddly kitten when they were having Their First Time.
  • Dub Name Change:
    • Averted; unlike with Digimon Re: Tamers, her species name is still technically Tailmon; as an individual, however, she developed the name Gatomon as an Affectionate Nickname that more or less became Insistent Terminology later on when referring to this specific Tailmon altogether.
    • Ofanimon is spelled as Ophanimon, just like in the Dub, because of the fact the latter is how the actual Ophanim of the archangels are spelled.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: The context behind her choice of naming herself Gatomon, considering she keeps the origin of her nickname a secret but not the nickname itself. Her and Mistymon's first time had her, as Angewomon, purring like a cuddly kitten in sheer contentment, which led to Mistymon giving her the nickname which she more or less just rolled with.
  • Know When to Fold Them: She flees from White Rabbit when it becomes adamantly clear that her Adult Level form will not stand a chance against it, after having witnessed White Rabbit Curb-Stomp a bunch of Ultimate Level Darkdramon.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: She flees from White Rabbit to seek help, rather than stay and fight; she can't evolve with Hikari incapacitated, so she's a mere Adult Level going up against a Digital Lifeform which can easily kill Ultimate Levels, and could potentially transform its right arm into a weapon that can easily overpower her like how it did for the Darkdramon.
  • Take a Third Option: Her Ultimate Level form is neither just Holydramon nor Ophanimon; it's both at once, capable of freely switching between the two via Slide Evolution.

Inoue Miyako

Ichijouji Ken

  • Ambiguous Situation: What exactly was going on in Ken's head during Chapter 10B?
  • Darker and Edgier: His formal introduction in the narrative is a lot darker than the other characters introduction. He appears to be exorcising himself of some kind of personal demon, and he severely injures his left arm in the process by punching through a mirror while trying to merely jam a knife into it.
  • Demonic Possession: Implied in Chapter 10B, if one interprets the events that ensue as an exorcism gone horribly astray.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: He looks himself in the mirror in a dark room while threatening himself with a knife and talking to his reflection as though it were a separate person. Exorcising a demon, or attempting suicide?
  • Establishing Character Moment: His first few appearances have him characterized inconsistently, and as we learn in Chapter 10B, he's suffering from a severe Sanity Slippage regarding his own demons and some unknown connection he has with the Black Digitron appearing in the real world.
  • Foreshadowing: Something twisted is going on with Ken's background and his overall Sanity Slippage, but exactly what is not elaborated on, and even with Chapter 10B, it gives two possible interpretations of the situation. Either he tried to exorcise a demon from himself and failed, or he's struggling with attempting suicide.
  • Knight of Cerebus: His character focus isn't a laughing matter in the slightest.
  • Sanity Slippage: A major driving force of his characterization in Chapter 10B is him dealing with facing his own demons while having a complete mental breakdown.
  • Unexpectedly Dark Episode: Chapter 10B, his formal introduction, is this in a nutshell. None of the Mons appear in the chapter, and while Ken is revealed to have a call incoming on his Digivice, he doesn't answer it on-page, and it's hinted he simply never bothered answering it, merely taking it out of the room so it didn't wake up Miyako. Miyako, meanwhile, wakes up to hearing Ken rambling to himself about his situation, and then witnesses Ken undergoing a mental breakdown while looking at himself in the mirror. He tries questioning his own reflection as though it were a separate part of himself, and the entire sequence plays out like Ken is either contemplating suicide or trying to exorcise some kind of demon from his being.

Mochizuki Meiko

  • Apologizes a Lot: Whenever she talks for too long, even if it isn't very long at all, she'll typically apologize for it.
  • Heartwarming Orphan: She was found in an orphanage, going to a daycare Taichi was at for a few days when he was extremely young. Taichi's parents considered Meiko's presence to be bad luck, knowing that Meiko didn't behave normal around Taichi at all. Every time they had met since, Meiko always brought bad luck to him in some way or form and is even indirectly responsible for why Taichi's dad ultimately dies, due to Meicoomon being what directly caused Parrotmon to materialize in the first place.
  • Living MacGuffin: She's this as to why exactly Oshiro Roy is chasing after her relentlessly.
  • Morality Pet: Big time for Taichi.
  • Proper Lady: The most outright feminine of the female cast, even across the rest of the Series Fic.
  • Shrinking Violet
  • Sixth Ranger: While the original 8 only recently formed, and Daisuke's group is already together and active, Meiko is completely isolated from everyone else with the sole exception of Taichi, and even then this is the first time the two have met in at least 15 years.
  • Women Are Delicate: Although it's common Author Appeal to put more feminine traits into female characters in the Series Fic as a whole, as to make them more realistic in approach, Meiko already has most of such traits and is treated as a combination of a Proper Lady and Shrinking Violet.

Meicoomon

  • Adaptational Heroism: Regardless of what you think of the canon Meicoomon, her incarnation here is not only this trope incarnate, but also the fact Meicrackmon: Vicious Mode and Raguelmon, the dark branch of Meicoomon's evolution line, are her actual evolved forms and not normal Meicrackmon and Rasielmon, due to the curse placed upon her which needs her to consume Black Digitron to survive.
  • Adaptational Wimp: She doesn't get access to Ordinemon due to obvious reasons and she's not even Ax-Crazy when evolved like her canon self, and unlike her canon self she can't fend off multiple final form Digimon at a time.
  • Mysterious Past: Who is it that placed the curse on her requiring her to feed on Black Digitron to survive?
  • Outside-Context Problem: If she doesn't consume Black Digitron on a regular basis, her non-corrupt evolutions when used will have a timer that'll permanently erase her DigiCore once it runs up, meaning for Meicoomon to survive, she must regularly consume Black Digitron, which has the effect of rendering her default evolutions as Meicrackmon: Vicious Mode and Raguelmon, but at the same time, she can control these forms because of the consumption of Black Digitron misleading her DigiCore into thinking these are her natural evolved forms, which subsequently cause her normal evolved forms to be treated like Dark Evolutions by her own DigiCore's newly defined nature.

Wizarmon > Mistymon > Dynasmon

  • Adaptational Badass: Achieves Perfect Level and later goes into Ultimate as a Royal Knight form.
  • Affectionate Nickname: He's the source of where Gatomon chose her name from, rather than using her species name by default. Even in Gatomon's later forms, she purrs like a cat when she's affectionate with Wizarmon, and Wizarmon is fully aware of this fact.
  • Irony: Mistymon is a Virus Attribute Digimon, and he's coupled with Gatomon (as Angewomon, mostly), who is a Vaccine Digimon and an Angel type Digimon at that. The kicker is that Angewomon bottoms whenever she and Mistymon have sex, which is the reverse of the way Vaccine and Virus Digimon relate to each other.
  • Official Couple: With Gatomon.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Wizardmon is alive and well in this version, and actually achieves his later evolutionary forms.
  • Stout Strength: Much like Gatomon, he's a fairly small Adult Level, but that doesn't make him weak in the slightest.
  • Troll: He's constantly able to bypass Roy's firewalls to rescue any girls he abducts, much to Roy's baffling confusion as to how he does so. Turns out Roy is so heavily focused on preventing strong Digimon from breaching that he failed to take into consideration the slightest possibility that a lower evolutionary level Digimon would actually have the audacity to try and breach into his network. Wizarmon usually boasts about his ability to outwit Roy at times, but when he does a rescue mission for Hikari in Chapter 11, he doesn't have the time. Blackheart is mere seconds from arriving on the scene, so he escapes with Hikari and leaves Roy and Chris at Blackheart's merciless wrath.

    Antagonists (canon)

Parrotmon

  • Back from the Dead: As Crossmon.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: He serves as the first opponent for Holydramon as Crossmon, and thus ending the Crest arc by being the last of the crest wielders to obtain Mega.
  • Hero Killer: Kills Taichi and Hikari's dad before he gets pulverized by Greymon.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Kick starts the entire story despite being a one-shot villain. His Perfect Level also makes him the first of his kind to have infiltrated the real world with next to nobody noticing it until it was too late. The Royal Knights were not happy once they found out Parrotmon had manifested in the real world at that time, since all of the other Digimon who emerged at that point were Adult Level or significantly weaker; Parrotmon was the sole Perfect Level to realize in said incident. The Royal Knights are shocked because all of them are completely baffled as to why exactly an Ultimate Level didn't promptly take advantage of the situation and emerge almost immediately after. True, the Royal Knights had to deal with a massive prison break on their end at the same time in the Digital World... but they confirmed that something had went missing in the process, and 15 years later they still haven't found it.
  • Starter Villain: For the prologue, and the whole story at large when it comes to real world situations with Digimon.
  • Super Mode: As Crossmon.

Vamdemon

  • Ambiguous Situation: He's stated to be a mature character, and yet the first we see of him, he's atomized by Dragora upon trying to change the deal he made with him. Granted, Apocalymon revives him elsewhere to keep him away from Dragora, but states to Vamdemon that if he strikes out against Dragora one more time, he won't bother reviving him next time.
  • Beyond the Impossible: He's confirmed to have survived the incident with Dragora, and is actually a red herring for later considering when he appears again, you think he shows up again as VenomVamdemon, or perhaps BelialVamdemon, but he instead shows up as Piedmon.
  • Death Is Cheap: If Apocalymon had no use for him anymore, he would've stayed dead once Dragora decided to interfere. So long as Apocalymon exists, he will continue to revive Vamdemon until he sees no further reason to do so. Vamdemon himself is kind of traumatized by how much of a close call his death to Dragora was, to the point Apocalymon states that if he tries to after Dragora again, he won't bother reviving him next time if he's killed off.

Devimon

  • Arc Villain: Of the first arc, though he seems to be sharing the role with Mugendramon. Turns out he's just an over-glorified Red Herring for Blackheart, as by the time Blackheart's presence is confirmed, he and Mugendramon are both reinforcing File Island to keep her as far away from there as possible.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He believes a military based rule over File Island will keep the ancient region of the Digital World safe from harm, but he's unwittingly scaring his own populace under his control due to how heavily he reinforces the region when Blackheart appears elsewhere.

Mugendramon

  • Arc Villain: Appears to be this for the first arc, though to what extent is not yet known.
  • Bad Boss: Kills off Chris' stolen partner Digimon Megadramon once Chris becomes paired with Impmon. Keep in mind, Airdramon was not Chris' own partner, but rather one of his band mates' Digimon.
  • Large and in Charge: Ultimate Level, very massive, and very much keeps the likes of Devimon in place regarding who truly controls File Island.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Bad Boss he may be, he's just a really big lad just following Devimon's orders to have a powerful military force occupy File Island for the sake of protecting both it and it's civilians. Mugendramon tends to not realize he's deliberately making the situation worse by his much more hostile behavior.

Vamdemon/Myotismon

  • Ambiguous Situation:
    • Whether or not this specific Vamdemon is meant to represent the character as seen in 02 or not.
    • Better question would be to ask if he's the same individual whom Apocalymon keeps reviving a lot. Gatomon doesn't believe this to be the case, as she can very distinctly recognize the two Vamdemon by their choice of food; Myotismon prefers very fanciful dinners cooked by his castle's servants, and hates taking food from others. Vamdemon, meanwhile, is nothing short of a hoggish glutton, even preying on live victims like an wild vampire would.
  • Rule of Cool: Invoked; starts off using his Vamdemon name from the Japanese media, but once Dragora refers to him enough times as Myotismon, it just sort of rubs off on him and he states this trope to be the reason for why he now refers to himself from that point forward as his Dub name Myotismon.

Ordinemon

  • Always a Bigger Fish: She's killed off by Jadedramon in the ancient past, and has her corpse frozen eternally and hollowed out into a giant nest for the Legendary Light Dragon.
  • And I Must Scream: Is stuck in a perpetual screaming motion as she was frozen solid at her demise eons ago.
  • Bait-and-Switch Boss: A hint towards her appearance is the fact Jadedramon isn't identified at first, and the fact the energy reading from her location displays a Super Ultimate Level form. Considering the downplay in the importance of Super Ultimate aside from the three Legendary Light Dragons...
  • Decomposite Character: Hikari's Gatomon and Meiko's Meicoomon do not Fuse at any given time, and thus the Ordinemon seen here is literally an empty shell of its canon depiction.
  • Mysterious Past: What was her backstory before Jadedramon confronted her and froze her to death eons ago? Whatever the case, nobody remembers her existence anymore to the point she's not even able to be properly registered in the database. Though to be fair, her DigiCore is no longer present and considering she's a literal lifeless shell, she could've been scanned but no longer can be.
  • Non-Malicious Monster: She has no mind and exists as a puppet for Jadedramon to use whenever it goes into Inferno Mode. Otherwise she's just a frozen, hollowed out shell with no other purpose.
  • People Puppets: If Jadedramon activates its Inferno Mode, Ordinemon's frozen statue of a body becomes a flaming frost wraith that can attack on Jadedramon's command, and even be able to heal Jadedramon if necessary.
  • Posthumous Character: Jadedramon uses her hollowed out corpse as a nest and a statue to hide in.
  • Take That!: Her only appearance in the continuity, as a frozen corpse hollowed out by Jadedramon to use as a nest, pretty much cements that Ordinemon will not have anything to do with Gatomon or Meicoomon. Subverted in that the author still effectively gives her a small role anyways, in the form of the puppet side of a Puppet Fighter for Jadedramon, including the fact because of Ordinemon's divine composites, she can heal Jadedramon which forces the protagonists to kill Ordinemon first.
  • Time Abyss: Her corpse has been around for so long that the actual physical corpse no longer exists when compared to the icy foundation of what ultimately was forged around her by Jadedramon.

Eosmon

  • Failed a Spot Check: Another Eosmon exists and is running loose against Sigma and Raiga's knowledge.
  • Mysterious Past: Sigma and Raiga both atomized her on the spot and destroyed all history documents of her existence for reasons they refuse to tell anyone, since they plan to basically Un-person her existence altogether.
  • Un-person: What Sigma and Raiga both instigated after they mercilessly destroyed her. Why they did so is not made clear yet.

    Protagonists (OC)

    Antagonists (OC)

The Jungle Troopers

An Insectoid Digimon clan that works in both the real world and digital world exchanging their services for profit. Typically they're hired as information brokers, but often times they can be hired muscle as well.

  • Adapted Out: The Kabuterimon among their ranks doesn't appear in Digimon Re: Adventure. Doesn't stop an AtlasKabuterimon Blue from appearing, however.
  • Dark Is Evil: Stereotypical evil Insectoid Digimon such as Kuwagamon and Snimon are among their ranks. Sometimes, however...
  • Light Is Not Good: In Digimon Re: Tamers, a Kabuterimon is among their ranks as he's the first opponent for Impmon upon digivolving into Vungareimon.
  • Monster of the Week: Kabuterimon is treated as so in terms of his role among the group towards Jeri's Impmon turned Devimon.
  • Wake-Up Call Boss: GrandisKuwagamon in Re: Adventure and Kabuterimon in Re: Tamers serve as this.

Chaosmon

Just like how Raiga is a recurring protagonist (mostly), Chaosmon is a recurring antagonist... mostly. Chaosmon's overall role in the story various more on which Digimon is being used for its left arm; Darkdramon's arm typically means the role will be villainous, and Valdurmon's arm will typically show a more grayer role than normal. Typically spends his time arguing with GranDracmon as to who is the stronger of the two.

Chris

Debut: Digimon Re: Adventure

Voice Actor: Ron Perlman

  • The Comically Serious: He's kind of an Only Sane Man of the villains and has to not only deal with their shenanigans, but also the shenanigans of the protagonists as well.
  • Dirty Old Man: Wouldn't exactly be old considering he's in his 30s, but he's still lusting for women who are at least 10 years his own junior.
  • Decomposite Character: Two Digimon Original Characters named Chris exist; one is the original used by a friend of MF217, and the version here is an In Name Only Expy of the other.
  • Hate Sink: The original version of Chris mentioned under Decomposite Character was meant to be this, and the same applies to this version as well; while the original Chris wasn't exactly a Serial Rapist, both versions of Chris are noted to raise hell around them simply because they can.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Chris himself is never Played for Laughs, at least not on purpose, and he treats himself very seriously when it comes to how he comes across to others.
  • Male Gaze: Played for Drama with him and Hikari; considering he's a Serial Rapist, it's kind of obvious why this is bad news for Hikari.
  • Only One Name: In Chapter 10 of Digimon Re: Adventure, he states himself that he doesn't have a surname. It's unclear at this point if he's actually being honest or if it's just part of the trick to get Hikari to drop her guard.
  • Serial Rapist: Implied given how he's introduced more properly in Chapter 10 of Digimon Re: Adventure, and going off of past appearances in addition to this, he's had a sexual attraction to Sora, Mimi, and then Hikari, and Yamato has warned Sora repeatedly of not wanting her to visit his band-mates because of Chris' presence with them.
  • Slimeball: Chris is a Serial Rapist with no strings attached; that's why Mimi turned down his offer for a night at a hotel, and why Hikari was already in danger even before Roy Oshiro arrived on the scene.
  • Stalker without a Crush: Seems a little too interested in the main female leads of Digimon Re: Adventure, especially him eyeing up Hikari who, while 18, is still significantly younger than he is. He's adamantly clear mentally, however, that he's only interested in their possible sexual appeal to his desires.
