The Hyperia pantheon
Leilusa
A godess of shadow, and co-leader of the Hyperia pantheon along with Hyperion.
- Casting a Shadow: Is a godess of Shadow, and as such can use shadow magic.
- Lethal Chef: Needs Will to check some food she made for him because she can't remember if what she put into it will poison him or not, and personally admits she has no clue what she is doing.
- Mission Control: Fills this role for Daryl,and to a lesser extent other followers of the Hyperia pantheon.She watches Daryl (and others) through a mist-like screen, and because he is her champion,she can make her voice be heard only in his mind if she wants, and she can hear his thoughts when he he intends for her to hear them.She can also make her voice heard at certain locations if she wants other people to hear her.
- Physical God: When using her idol as an avatar, but is limited to the temple grounds and an unspecified distance around her idols pedestal when outside of the area.
- Purple Is Powerful: Her main colour is purple, and as a godess is very powerful.
Hyperion
A God of Light, and co-leader of the Hyperia pantheon along with Leilusa.
- Light 'em Up: Is a God of light, and as such can use light magic.
- Mission Control: Fills this role for Skye, and to a lesser extent other followers of the Hyperia pantheon.He watches Skye (and others) through a mist-like screen, and because she is his champion,he can make his voice be heard only in her mind if he wants, and he can hear her thoughts when she intends for him to hear them.He can also make his voice heard at certain locations if he wants other people to hear him.

William Stalker
High priest of Leilusa, Hyperion, and the Hyperia pantheon house.He also has a. . .few other jobs to do around the Hyperia temple grounds in addition to being High priest.
- Casting a Shadow: As Leilusa's High priest, he can "Call upon the power of shadow magic."
- High Priest: Is this for Leilusa, Hyperion, and the Hyperia pantheon, although he is also the only priest they have.
- Light 'em Up: As Hyperion's high priest, he can "Call upon the power of light magic."
- Superior Successor: To his aunt Wila, in regards to tending to the plants in and around the Hyperia Pantheon house.
- Try to Fit That on a Business Card: Well,a greeting card anyways, and it seems he actually did write his job titles on it, although when Skye manages to condense his introduction into "your name is Will and you work here?"he agrees that it sums the whole thing up,and he skips the rest.His list of titles/jobs as revealed by Leilusa is as follows:High priest of Leilusa, Hyperion, the Hyperia pantheon, and the Hyperion pantheon house, and he is the Hyperia pantheon house's caretaker, gardener, repair man, cook, cleaner, groundskeeper, clothes washer, security, book keeper, party planner, waiter, table setter, window washer, secretary, dishwasher, stable master, kennel master, huntsman, banner man, fireman, trumpeter, and the guy they send into town.
Daryl Mason
- Blue Is Heroic: Wears a blue shirt as the standout part of his outfit. It is later somewhat covered by the leather armor he gets.
- Combat Pragmatist: Downplayed. Daryl seems fine with throwing dirt into an enemy's eyes or stealing an extra weapon of theirs in a fight, but that is about it.
- The Leader: When not being directly ordered to do something by Leilusa, and while not really controlling the groups actions as a whole, Daryl is the one who most often will try to keep the group on track, break up fights, and suggest courses of actions to others, putting him in "level headed" leader territory.
Skye Glorious
- Carry a Big Stick: Fights with a mace made for her by her father as a present.
- Deadpan Snarker: Is this on occasion.
- Fiery Red Head: Has red hair, and can get really angry very fast.
- Fighter, Mage, Thief: Is the fighter to Flamel's mage and Daryl's thief.
- Red Is Heroic: Wears a red shirt as the notable part of her outfit.It is later mostly covered by a chainmail shirt.
- Signature Headgear: Her green beret.
Flamel Greenwood
A Galemorian elf Daryl and Skye meet when he was working as a city guard in Garn during the spirit infestation of its library.He was fired as his captain thought Flamel would get himself killed.He got hired by Leilusa a few seconds later.
- Fighter, Mage, Thief: Is the mage to Daryl's thief and Skye's fighter.
- Kill It with Ice: His main magic attack is fireing shards of ice from his wand.
- Magic Wand: What he uses to cast/charge spells with.
- Pointy Ears: Naturally, as he is an elf.
- Squishy Wizard: Averted.Being a city guard for a few years probably contributed to this.
Wila
Will's aunt and predecessor as the Hyperia Pantheons High priestess.She appears in the short story "Will's induction".
- Eyepatch of Power: She wears an eyepatch over her left eye. When she becomes a ghost after dying to a monster, her form reveals the patch covered a scar that takes up the space the eye should have been.
- HighPriestess: Was this for Leilusa and Hyperion until her death.
- Parental Substitute: Was this for Will after his parents death.
- Revenge Before Reason: It's what got her killed when she tried to take on a monster by herself that her monster hunter sister and brother in-law got killed by.
Sarengals cult
Sarengal
A presumably powerful God, and the leader of his cult.what he is a God of has not been reavealed yet.
- Big Bad: Is this currently,as his followers attacking Dorawn (presumably either on his orders,or with his approval) kicked off the plot.
- Obviously Evil: He is this, with his skull-like face, red eyes, black & white color scheme, and long fingers.In case ther was any doubt about him being evil, his text box, for when he speaks from a distance, is covered in spikes.
- Spikes of Villainy: has an upwards crescent shaped spiky thing on his head, and his text box for when he's speaking over a long distance is very spiky.
Members in general
The people who work for Sarengal.
- Faceless Goons: This is downplayed as their helmets/masks do not cover their entire face.
- Malevolent Masked Men: They cause a lot of trouble.
- Purple Is Powerful: Everyone wears purple-grey robes.
- Skeletons in the Coat Closet: The helmets/masks they wear resemble the upper half of a human skull.
Skullcrosis
Skullcrosis is Sarengal's high priest and second in command.
- High Priest: Is this for Sarengal.
- Mook Lieutenant: Is the one to lead the attack on Dorawn during the champions tournament.
- Spikes of Villainy: His helmet/mask has two sets of horns.
Catharine Rosewater
Sarengal's champion.
- Token Good Teammate: pauses the persuit of Daryl&co to help a companion out of a river of blood, and is the one to suggest a truce between her, Daryl and Flamel when portals leave them stranded somewhere random together.
The "Shadow Beast"
A monster of some kind in Sarengal's cult who holds the rank of leuitenant.
- Evil Sounds Deep: All of its dialouge is written in a bold, slightly off text.
- Extra Eyes: Has three on each side of its head, for a total of six.Oddly, it goes down to two when in it's shadow form.
- Flight: Can form and un-form wings as part of its body using some kind of magic ability.
- Good Wings, Evil Wings: Can form bat/devil wings out of some sort of shadow/energy.
- Power Floats: In its mist/shadow form.
- Shock and Awe: Can shoot lightning from its body, and can control the voltage to have a taser-like effect.
- Spikes of Villainy: Has a row of spiky spines on its back.
Others
Rever and Pope the penguin
A singer who travels around and performs with his pet penguin Pope.
- Dreadful Musician: Rever seems to be this to a degree, as a crowd throws both objects and insults at him after his performance is over.
- Loyal Animal Companion: Pope travels with Rever.
Karla and Kara
Karla is a summoner the group meets in Over the sea and through the air.She can summon Kara, a terrabnd.
- Cyclops: Kara, like other Terrabnds has only one eye.
- Summon Magic: Karla is a summoner, who can summon Kara, a Terrabnd spirit she has a bond with, to her.
Parthelax
A God of unspecified magic who shows up occasionally.
- No Indoor Voice: EVERY LINE OF DIALOGUE FROM HIM.
Monsters and other threats
Serpentus
A sea serpent that causes trouble in the first half of "Over the sea and through the air"
- Poisonous Person: Is venomous, and can spray the venom to make it into a dangerous mist.
- Sea Monster: Is a sea serpent.
- Snakes Are Sinister: He is not someone you'd want to meet alone.
- Snake Talk: Talksss like thisss.
- Technicolor Toxin: His venom is a cloudy yellow colour.
