Cat Nymndemise

"What the crumb?"

A boy who died and was brought back to life by a powerful Fae, Cat remembers little about his old life- something which frustrates him often. Being brought back to life has also given him some amount of magical power. He finds himself and his sister Libby caught up in the midst of the beginnings of a grand magical war.

Tropes associated with Cat:

Sarah

A Half-Fae with the ears and tail of a fox and the ability to control her shadow.

Tropes associated with Sarah:

Dorian "Dor" Nymndemise

"I'm sheltered, not stupid."

The son of Lily and Mercutious Nymndemise, but his existence was hidden from his father. He lived all his life in one room, with the only source of outside information being books and his cousin Bing. He is not well known for being very nice.

Tropes associated with Dor:

  • Big Brother Instinct: Shows his protective side several times when it comes to Cat
  • Brought Down to Normal: Used to be a powerful Lightning Fae, but the painful removal of his horns have cut off most of his power and made him closer to human.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Oh so much.
  • Determinator: Manages to fight off Laura's mind-control several times, even before he was aware of it.
  • Friendless Background: The only source of interaction he got when he was younger was with Bing, and that turned sour pretty quick.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He insults people often, sometimes without meaning to, but he really does care.
  • Mind-Control Eyes: While he's being controlled by Laura
  • No Social Skills: He was raised in a single room, hidden away from most Fae
  • Shock and Awe: What he used to be able to do.

Deedra

A girl of Chinese descent who was captured by John Stone after her whole village was destroyed. She was taken care of by Vali, but due to unfortunate circumstances, she lost her memories and only half of herself was restored.

Tropes associated with Deedra:

Libby/The Vortex

"I can't explain. I don't know how. I'm sorry."'

Libby's existence sets the whole plot in motion. She coexists with a sentient force called the Vortex, which absorbs magic from magical beings (the Fae). Certain Fae see her as a threat to their existence and are trying to kill her.

Tropes associated with Libby:

Kristin Bing

"Likewise, Goatboy."

A blue Fire Fae who begins as a guide to Sarah and Cat. He has weaved in and out of the story, being the cause of several important events.

Tropes associated with Bing:

Tom

An ally of Cat and the others in the present times. Not a whole lot is known about him, since he keeps his past a secret, and how he met the gang has yet to be shown.
