  • Heroic Mime: She has one short line in the introduction cutscene, but she's silent for the rest of the game.
  • Punny Name: Her full name, Molli Pop, is one letter off from Lollipop.
  • Skeptic No Longer: After entering the mansion, she quickly realizes that it actually is haunted.

  • He Knows About Timed Hits: He often tells Molli about chains, and describes some charms as "heart-boosting charms."

  • Lovable Coward: He's scared of almost everything, sometimes even jumping at Molli, but he's still a likable character.
  • Love Makes You Dumb: His crush on Suzie was what led him to become trapped in the mansion in the first place.
  • Opaque Nerd Glasses: His glasses are blank white, including his appearance in the final cutscene.

Ghost King is the boss of Halls of Sorrow. He attacks by summoning clones of himself and charging down multiple floors. He is replaced by Ghost Baron in Curse Crusher mode.

  • Fake King: He wears a crown and has "king" in his name, but he was simply Candy King's apprentice and even the ghosts who serve him dislike him.
  • Flunky Boss: Every third attack, he will appear in the middle of the room and summon three wraiths. Ghost Baron takes this further, spawning several wraiths at a time while using his normal attacks.
  • King Mook: To the wraiths.
  • Self-Duplication: Summons clones of himself to attack Molli.
  • Warm-Up Boss: With his simple patterns and easy to read attacks, it makes sense that he's the first boss.

  • The Hyena: Some other bosses have evil laughs, but Jack laughs constantly throughout his boss battle.
  • Pumpkin Person: His head is a jack-o-lantern.
  • Shmuck Bait: Occasionally Jack will make himself vulnerable, appearing at the bottom floor with only his head visible. If Molli attacks him in this state, he traps her there with vines and surrounds her with bombs. The vines won't stay up for long, though.
