SPN 1

The chosen fan-made monsters selected for the first SPN. For easy reference, kaiju marked with an asterisk are the Evolved for the SPN-2 set.

    Adam

    Akaoni*

    Apep
  • Aliens Are Bastards: He travels from world to world to kill its inhabitants and incorporate their bodies and bones into his own body.
  • Dem Bones: He has a very skeletal appearance, including very prominent hip bones.
  • Egyptian Mythology: Named for, and has the epithet of, the "Egyptian God of Chaos."
  • Evil Is Deathly Cold: Apep can attack his enemies with the Chill of Despair.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Has average Ferocity and Agility, but fantastic Power and above-average Fortitude.
  • Sliding Scale of Undead Regeneration: Of the "Type III: Healing but Decaying" variety. He's in a constant state of deterioration, but can use the corpses of others to repair himself.
  • Tunnel King: A minor variant. He burrows deep into asteroids that help him travel from planet to planet.

    Ash Jaw*
  • Breath Weapon: His "Shadow Shot" launches dark projectiles from his mouth.
  • Good Is Not Nice: Ribai may be a heroic figure who overthrows oppressive empires, but he still transforms into a brutal kaiju to do so.
  • Henshin Hero: The wastelander Ribai transforms into Ash Jaw at will with the help of a parasite attached to his back.
  • Jack of All Stats: Has relatively average stats across the board with slightly boosted Ferocity and Agility.
  • More Teeth than the Osmond Family: He has a lot of little teeth in his mouth, his gameplay bonus even subtracting one Ferocity cost from Teeth-based attacks.
  • Overly-Long Tongue: His SPN-2 Evolved form has an even longer tongue than normal, plus a number of smaller, tendril-like tongues besides.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Ash Jaw's eyes are a red colour.
  • Tail Slap: Tail strikes are among his secondary attacks.
  • Took a Level in Badass: One of the fifteen "Evolved" kaiju for the SPN-2 set.

    Bear Tank*

    Bogma*

    Brontopteryx
  • Blow You Away: Capable of projecting hurricane-level winds with his wings.
  • Eye Beams: Capable of shooting twin laser beams from his eyes.
  • Giant Flyer: Of the prehistoric pterosaur variety.
  • Hit-and-Run Tactics: Because he utilizes this, both players suffer a -1 attack penalty to Skilled attacks.
  • Human Popsicle: Kaiju Popsicle, rather. Hibernated during the ice age, finally thawing out in modern times.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Ferocity and Fortitude are average with above-average Power and fantastic Agility.
  • Nuclear Mutant: Created when a pterosaur was exposed to a radioactive meteorite. He also projects ambient radiation.
  • Shock and Awe: The artwork and elemental icons on the card suggest his Laser Eye Beams are electrical in nature.
  • Toothy Bird: Like some other pterosaurs, he has a beak-like mouth lined with teeth.

    Calypto
  • Jack of All Stats: Statistically, he's average with slight boosts to Ferocity and Fortitude.
  • Nuclear Mutant: He was an ordinary chameleon that ate a magical emerald immediately before being irradiated by an earthquake-loosed nuclear reactor.
  • Power Crystal: The magical emerald he swallowed, having mistook it for an insect.
  • Shock and Awe: Projected through the tongue.
  • Tail Slap: As one of his secondary attacks.
  • Tyop on the Cover: Subverted; while his weight of 2,000 tons seems extremely light, given that all other kaiju are over 30,000 tons, that is the correct weight. Word of God is that he's supposed to be mostly insubstantial, like an electric ghost.

    Chaos Dementor
  • Eldritch Abomination: An entity of entropy that built itself a body to toy with humanity.
  • Entropy and Chaos Magic: Serves as a physical embodiment of chaos, and especially entropy.
  • Combat Tentacles: Two as legs, three as arms, and three smaller ones above his neck.
  • Glass Cannon: Has good Ferocity and Agility, average Power, and low Fortitude.
  • Floating Limbs: His limbs, two body segments, and head lack physical connections.
  • Wrong Context Magic: Or rather, Wrong Context Gameplay. Instead of the usual attack system of "Quick, then Chain, then Fierce," Chaos Dementor causes them to resolve alphabetically; that is, "Chain, then Fierce, then Quick."

    Chernobird

  • Born-Again Immortality: As standard for a phoenix. Everytime she's killed, she's reborn at the site of the tragedy that made her.
  • Cool Mask: Her face is covered by a bone-like structure that looks like a gas mask.
  • Death Seeker: All she wants is to be finally put out of her misery. Unfortunately, as a phoenix, this is not that easy...
  • Glass Cannon: Focus a lot more on weapon attacks than physical ones, and is quite fragile, being generally smaller and lighter than her fellow kaiju.
  • The Phoenix: A mutant, deformed one, born from the high temperatures created by a disaster in a nuclear power plant.
  • Plaguemaster: Unintentionally. Her broken body is constantly emmiting radiation, decaying everything around her. This is reflected by her card's ability; the more damage her body takes, the weaker the other kaiju around her get.
  • The Power of the Sun: One of her abilities is using her power over nuclear fusion to create up to three "miniature suns".

    Cogugin

    Colonel Ausum*

    Cthura

    Destroyer X

    Digamma
  • Ascended Fanon: Digamma was originally from a fan fiction. Differences exist between it and his card depiction, as well as some All There in the Manual details.
  • Belly Mouth: Has a mouth on a tendril-like appendage sticking out from under his rib-cage. In the concept art this was dubbed the Boanoid.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Has bone-like scythes as part of his arms.
  • Breath Weapon: His is an acidic spray.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Digamma is not evil despite his undead appearance. However, he bases his logic on order and logic over morals.
  • Dem Bones: A skeletal monster whose joints are on ball points, allowing for maximum bodily rotation.
  • Extra Eyes: Digamma's skull-like head is depicted with four Glowing Eyes, each with a Sickly Green Glow although the creator intended them to be amber originally. It is hinted in the concept art and card text these are objects that grant him his resistance powers.
  • Fragile Speedster: Zigzagged; Digamma's creator wanted him to be a Durable Speedster, though his gameplay statistics give him low Fortitude to balance out his high Agility and medium Ferocity and Power. The card's text justifies this as vulnerabilities induced by Earth's atmosphere.
  • Giant Flyer: How he travels from one planet to another.
  • The Magnificent: Digamma goes by the epithet "Cosmic Ghost Fossil"; the card game changed this to "Spawn of the Bloodstone Star".
  • Nuclear Mutant: His creation in the card's story involves being the byproduct of a battle near a red dwarf star that absorbed extra EM radiation.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Digamma's astral skin, which is purple, was designed to withstand godly powers.
  • This Is a Drill: Digamma has a drill on his forehead; the original concept art had it on his nose.
  • The Undead: Despite resembling one and his epithet, he is really a mercury-based organism.

    Enenra*
  • Belly Mouth: Has one that splits his torso into two parts via Floating Limbs in his SPN-1 depiction. His SPN-2 Evolved form as three belly mouths on one big torso - the large one in the centre, plus two more on the sides.
  • Breath Weapon: Able to shoot one from any of his mouths.
  • Extra Eyes: Each extra mouth has an accompanying set of eyes.
  • Floating Limbs: With his SPN-1 depiction; in addition to his Raymanian head, his Too Many Mouths can divide into this, although the artwork shows them closed to form proper joints. His head is also Raymanian. His body is fused together in his SPN-2 Evolved version.
  • Glass Cannon: Ferocity is good and Power is great, but Agility and Fortitude are both poor.
  • Horned Humanoid: Has two ram-like horns on his primary head. The SPN-2 Evolved version adds a pair of devil-like horns in addition to those.
  • Meaningful Name: An "enenra" is a type of Japanese smoke demon.
  • More Teeth than the Osmond Family: Each of his mouth-joints involves a set of very sharp teeth.
  • Nuclear Mutant: After being defeated long ago, his scattered fragments were collected by a research team interested in their reaction to radiation, reviving him in the process. Not only that, but he's radioactive this time around, hence his epithet of "The Nuclear Demon."
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Each of Enenra's Extra Eyes (and basic eyes) is red.
  • Sickly Green Glow: The colour of his radioactive smoke.
  • Spikes of Villainy: Has a pair on each of his shoulders. The SPN-2 Evolved form ups it to three.
  • Super Smoke: Of the green, radioactive variety, pouring out from his torso and head regions.
  • Too Many Mouths: Has mouths in the place of shoulder, elbow, and knee joints, as well as his Belly Mouth. His SPN-2 Evolved form adds mouth hands and moves the shoulder mouths to the sides of the torso.
  • Took a Level in Badass: One of the fifteen "Evolved" kaiju for the SPN-2 set.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: The research team that gathered his various parts together for study, unwittingly reviving and irradiating him.

    Fierodon*
  • Fallen Hero: Bred by an alien civilization to guard them against their enemies. He wasn't successful.
  • Jack of All Stats: Has balanced stats with a minor deficit to Agility.
  • The Leader: Of his fellow guardians, the others being for electricity and earth.

    • Fireballs: Forms and throws spheres of fire as his ranged attack.
    • Flaming Sword: Can generate and use an Immolation Sword.
  • Red Is Heroic: Has a dominantly red body with yellow-gold highlights.
  • Took a Level in Badass: One of the fifteen "Evolved" kaiju for the SPN-2 set.
  • Wreathed in Flames: His SPN-1 art shows his forearms having this effect, presumably a side effect of his hand-based fireballs. His SPN-2 Evolved art does this with his entire body, or at least his back, in a silhouette fashion.

    Giga Raptor*
  • Falling into the Cockpit: Raquelle was a scientist studying mountain fauna when a juvenile kaiju chased her to a hidden hanger, seemingly opening just for her, that contained Giga Raptor, which she used to defeat said kaiju. She has since become the mecha's full-time pilot against kaiju threats.
  • Humongous Mecha: Gundam-esque with a reptilian, quasi-draconian design.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Has high Agility while otherwise being a Jack of All Stats.
    • Awesome, but Impractical: Being built for evasive combat and optimized for fighting in a vacuum, it gains a +1 attack bonus to Quick attacks but -1 penalty to non-Quick ones.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: The SPN-2 Evolved version is upgraded to have four arms instead of two.
  • Mysterious Past: Who built Giga Raptor (and when), and what's its relation to Raquelle?
  • Razor Wings: Giga Raptor's wings consist of many long blades that are ideal for quick melee combat.
  • Red Is Heroic: With the SPN-2 Evolved depiction, Giga Raptor loses the predominately green paint job for a silver one with red highlights.
  • Tail Slap: One of Giga Raptor's melee capabilities.
  • Took a Level in Badass: One of the fifteen "Evolved" kaiju for the SPN-2 set.

    Grog
  • Hollywood Acid: His primary form of attack, capable of using it both in melee and as a high-pressure Breath Weapon.
  • Horn Attack/Use Your Head: Has a single forehead horn for melee combat. He even gets a bonus to Charge attacks, getting to use them for no cost.
  • Mighty Glacier: Has high Power, but low Agility and Ferocity.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: His red eyes stand out from his otherwise green body.
  • Tunnel King: Having the epithet "Displaced Subterranean Denizen," he's a burrowing kaiju drawn above ground by the fighting of surface-based kaiju.

    H-Bomb
  • A.I. Is a Crapshoot: After being activated, H-Bomb wouldn't shut off and left Solomon Cain's workshop of his own accord. He is unpredictable and his agendas are unknown.
  • Awesome by Analysis/Combat Pragmatist: Having a learning computer for a mind, his adaptive ability lets him gain the equivalent of a Powerup if he plays a Quick, Chain, and Fierce attack in a single attack round.
  • Cyborg: Having the epithet "Genetic Titan," H-Bomb is described as a combination of human genetic material, cyborg wiring, wild energy, and the power to change the world.
  • Eye Beams: His concussive "Phazom" beam emits from his eye slit.
  • Jack of All Stats: Medium stats around with a minor deficit in Power.
    • Lightning Bruiser: Under the effects of his special ability, granting +2 to all his stats for two rounds like a Powerup bonus.

    Ichran

    KRASER
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Has sharp blades lining the forearms.
  • Desperation Attack: His forehead-based Jewel Cannon is limited to this use, as it drains his power quickly.
  • Fun with Acronyms: Fully known as "Kaiju Repulse & Super Eradicating Robot."
  • Humongous Mecha: Originally designed as a PR stunt, his first fight against kaiju did not result in a big explosion (much to his creators' surprise) and now fights properly with three pilots - two military and one civilian.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Near-perfect Fortitude with otherwise medium stats, with a slight boost to Agility.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Primarily coloured purple with yellow highlights.
  • Rocket Punch: Very effective against airborne opponents, too.
    • Awesome, but Impractical: The rocket fists do not automatically return and must be manually retrieved. In gameplay terms, this results in a -2 penalty to Reckless attacks.
  • Super Prototype: While he has only one of his intended weapons at this time, he's still a major force to be reckoned with.

    Kyotita*

    Megido
  • All-Powerful Bystander: The Yamato have sworn to stay out of humanity's way, even though Megido is trying to force them To Be Lawful or Good.
  • Fallen Hero: Megido was one of the Yamato that tended to pre-humanity Earth until being corrupted by a dark crystal.
  • Giant Flyer: Has black and grey bat-like wings that let him hover just out of his opponent's reach.
  • Horned Humanoid: This mostly humanoid kaiju has three black horns.
  • Jack of All Stats: His stats are balanced with a slight bonus to Agility.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: The Yamato banished Megido deep below the earth after he was corrupted. Still hasn't made him any less dangerous, though.
  • To Be Lawful or Good: Megido causes suffering in humans to lure the Yamato out, though they've held strong to their oath of not interfering with humans.
  • Troll: Megido likes to hover just out of his opponent's reach, as it's "like nourishing tears to his twisted mind."

    Megoki
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Her tail has a large spiked end that she's not opposed to using in combat.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: She has the physicality to match her title of "Queen of Cockroaches."
  • Big Eater: She's primarily interested in eating and sends out her minions to bring back things to consume.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: She is Queen of Cockroaches, summoning cockroaches to her and, through some unclear influence, causes them to become as large as cars. She's not directly aggressive to humanity, but she's no friend either.
  • Lightning Bruiser: In addition to average Agility and Power, she has above-average Ferocity and very good Fortitude.
  • The Swarm: Turns cockroaches into the car-sized equivalent of this.

    Mogilos
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Has a spade-like tail that's good for both bludgeoning and stabbing.
  • Fragile Speedster: Has above-average Agility and Power, average Ferocity, and below-average Fortitude.
  • Giant Flyer: His primary combat tactics are flying through the air and either tackling opponents or strafing with his Breath Weapon. He gets a +1 attack bonus to all non-Fierce attacks that are Airborne.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: The design is akin to a horned lizard with a flying squirrel's glider flaps.
  • Physical God: Worshipped as such by the ancient Kodai people before their destruction.
  • The Power of the Sun: He absorbs sunlight through his scales, allowing him to regain power quickly.
  • Shock and Awe: Shoots lightning from his mouth as a Breath Weapon.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: The Kodai saw the future, learning of their eventual end and of Mogilos' rage over the matter. They lured him to sleep to prevent this calamity... but when he eventually woke up after the Kodai disappeared, all it did was leave him both enraged and confused.

    Morpheus

    Nexuloc

  • Last Stand: The king of Kaziga choice to fight the invaders while the rest of his people fled. He managed to take down over one hundred attackers before finally being defeated.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: Nexuloc is the ghost of a vengeful king who made a Last Stand against the invaders of his city. In modern times, he formed a new body of the city's ruins to fight off the nearby mining operations that, from his perspective, were yet another invasion.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: The king of Kaziga was enough of a badass to bring down over a hundred invaders in a one-person Last Stand.

  • Combat Pragmatist: Despite his hunting combat style being rather primitive and ill-suited to prey that fight back, he gains a +1 attack bonus to both Skilled and Reckless attacks.
  • Egomaniac Hunter: In addition to wearing animal pelts for warmth, he viewed them as trophies. His greed for new trophies lead to him becoming a Dino Popsicle.
  • Fur and Loathing: Portrayed as wearing the pelt of a giant ape. The problem is less that he used pelts for warmth and more that he viewed them as trophies to be deliberately sought.
  • Glass Cannon: Good Ferocity and average Agility with poor Fortitude and abysmal Power.
  • Human Popsicle: Dino Popsicle, in his case. Fell through thin ice while crossing the frozen Pacific, and finally thawed out in modern times. Also, this somehow resulted in a Kill It with Ice Breath Weapon.
  • Living Dinosaurs: He's a gigantic, ancient Iguanadon that survived until and through the Ice Age by killing mammals and wearing their pelts for warmth.

    Zoiaksaulo
  • Breath Weapon: His Diyu beam both kills and energizes his opponents; those not outright killed turn on their allies, making it very effective against large armies.
  • Evil Sorceror: Zoiak, an evil wizard from China circa 3000 BCE. After being sealed in Diyu, he summoned Zoiaksaulo and imbued it with the power of Diyu, allowing it to rampage through Ancient China for about a decade before it was also sealed away.
  • Eyeless Face/Eyes Do Not Belong There: The eyes are based on the palms instead of the face.
  • A Head at Each End/Too Many Mouths: Has a regular, if Eyeless Face on one end, and the back is dominated by a gigantic mouth.

  • Tail Slap: Has a large tail underneath his rear mouth that is stated to be his secondary weapon.
