    AmpFibian

AmpFibian (UA-08)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/640px-AmpFibian_001_8979.png

Voiced by Yuri Lowenthal (in "Fused" and Omniverse), Dee Bradley Baker (Ultimate Alien)

The last of the Andromeda Five to be obtained. Ampfibian was sampled from Ra'ad, who belonged to the Amperi, a species of Electric Jellyfish-like creatures with powerful electrical powers.

Ben 23's version is named JellyFritz.

  • Back for the Finale: Ultimate Alien Ben brings Ampfibian with him for the final part of the reboot.
  • Electric Jellyfish: A jellyfish-like alien with powerful electrical abilities.
  • Electronic Telepathy: And a very powerful one, to the point where it can be used for Mind Reading and bodyjacking. Ben doesn't know how to do these, however.
  • Fragile Speedster: He is the only one amongst the Andromeda Five to lack any natural armor or exoskeleton, but he makes up for it by being far more mobile and possessing a large number of versatile powers.
  • Intangible Man: Both by phasing through matter and turning himself into electricity to travel through circuits. Somehow, he can't phase through forcefields, though.
  • Power Floats: He can fly, though not very fast.
  • Shock and Awe: He's another addition to Ben's growing collection of electric aliens.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Ampfibian is one of Ben's most powerful electric aliens, having no set threshold for how much electricity he can shell out at any given moment. It's an actual concern of Ben's as to whether or not Ampfibian is too powerful, given how one of his fears is accidentally killing Kevin (an energy-absorbing being) by shocking him too hard. And given that he actually managed to overload Phil, another energy-absorbing being, that fear seems to be justified.
  • Super Not-Drowning Skills: Has the ability to breathe underwater.
  • Superpower Lottery: He has the biggest one amongst the Andromeda Five; his electrokinesis has many forms, including Electronic Telepathy, intangibility, and straight-up Shock and Awe powers.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Sort of. Despite being a jellyfish-like alien, and being able to breathe underwater, his electrical powers make him vulnerable to water. He can use his electricity just fine if he's fully submerged, but if he's using electricity while entering the water, or is only partially submerged, he will electrocute himself. invoked

    Armodrillo

Armodrillo (UA-09)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Armodrillo_9398.png

Voiced by Dee Bradley Baker (Ultimate Alien), John DiMaggio (Omniverse)

The fourth of the Andromeda Five to be obtained. Armodrillo was sampled from Andreas, a Talpaedan from the planet Poiana Lüncas.

Ben 23's version is named Toolboxx.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: Sort of; he has the ability to dig and cause earthquakes rather than directly controlling earth.
  • Ground Wave: He can create powerful shock waves and fissures with his jackhammer arms.
  • Mighty Glacier: The tallest and strongest of the Andromeda Five when it comes to brute strength, but also rather slow. That is, as long as he is not digging.
  • Pile Bunker: His hands have the ability to move like a pile driver, with the intended effect of crushing rocks.
  • Super-Strength: He's the most physically strong and tough of the Andromeda aliens, able to battle against several of Ben's rogues gallery all at once.
  • This Is a Drill: He doesn't really have one in the original show, but Omniverse portrays him spinning his hands like drills.
  • Tunnel King: Described by Argit as able to move through earth as easily as we can swim through water.
  • Vibration Manipulation: Can generate enough vibrations to collapse buildings and cause earthquakes.
  • The Worf Effect: In previous appearances, Armodrillo's armor is shown to be a highly condensed metal that is a bare-minimum evolutionary standard for natural talents in digging. In other words, he's been presented as a heavyweight and nigh-unstoppable tank. When fighting Princess Looma, who is half his size, she takes him attempting to impale her with a drill in stride and knocks him over quite easily, claiming that his drill claw "tickles."

    Chamalien

Chamalien (UA-32)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chamalien.png

Chamalien was sampled from the alien only known as Prisoner 775 in Prisoner 775 is Missing (although at the end of the episode the Ultimatrix calls it a Marlinisapien). This alien is a chameleon-like alien with the ability to turn invisible.

  • Beware My Stinger Tail: It's unknown if it has any properties besides stabbing, but Prisoner 775 threatened Colonel Rozum's life with it.
  • Bizarre Sexual Dimorphism: While Chamalien is lizard-like, Subdora, a female Merlinisapien seen in "Fight At the Museum", is taller, more humanoid, and has differently-sized eyes/lenses (and an Italian accent, for some reason).
  • Cheshire Cat Grin: It smiles this way, and the similarity only gets stronger when it goes invisible.
  • Chromatic Arrangement: Wears a helmet with three different colored lenses; left (blue), right (red), and middle (green), which hide his three eyes.
  • Glamour Failure: When invisible, he still casts a shadow.
  • Hollywood Chameleons: A chameleon-like alien with its camouflage ability exaggerated.
  • Invisibility: His primary power, though it's not really invisibility so much as it is blending in with his surroundings like a chameleon.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: By the point Ben obtained him, he already had Ghostfreak, another alien who had invisibility, along with flight, intangibility, combat tentacles, and possession. As a result, he was by far one of Ben's least used aliens.
  • Put on a Bus: It was planned for him to appear in "Universe vs. Tennyson", used to spy on Chadzmuth. Script changes removed that plot point and he has no appearances in Omniverse. invoked
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Albedo as Chamalien has all of his eyes red, unlike Ben where only one is red.
  • Shout-Out: Chamalien could be called the shout out alien:
    • His design and powers are similar to Randall from Monsters, Inc.
    • His three eyes are based on the 50s film version of The War Of The Worlds.
    • His grin, powers, and colors could be a reference to the Cheshire Cat.
  • Slasher Smile: Taken straight from his DNA source.

    Clockwork

Clockwork (UA-47 note )

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/clockwork_ov.png

Clockwork was sampled from a Chronosapiens, a species of robot-like aliens with the ability to manipulate time.

Ben 23's version is named Windy-Hindey.

  • Clockwork Creature: As a Chronosapien, he looks like a walking wind-up toy.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: He actually got two before properly debuting. Similarly to Arctiguana and Buzzshock, he was first seen as one of Ben 10,000's aliens before being used by present Ben. He was also used by Gwen thanks to an Ultimatrix glitch in "Inspector #13" before finally being used by Ben in "Catch a Falling Star".
  • Fusion Dance: In "It's a Mad, Mad Ben World", he has Techno-Bubble (Ben 23's version of Upgrade) merge with him, enhancing his abilities. Unfortunately, Maltruant still defeats them.
  • Glass Cannon: His lasers can age you to dust in seconds, but one blast that other forms just shrug off is enough to knock him out and break his arm.
  • Informed Ability: According to Ben 10,000, Clockwork can travel through time, but he's never actually been shown doing this. Even when upgraded by Techno-Bubble, he was unable to exit the timeline he was currently in.
  • Light Is Good: Has a golden coloration, in contrast to Maltruant's Red and Black and Evil All Over.
  • Mechanical Life Form: Seriously, just look at the picture. It can even be merged with a Galvan Mechamorph (Upgrade).
  • More Dakka: Can shoot missiles when merged with Techno-Bubble.
  • Pensieve Flashback: Another ability of his is casting holograms of past events over the location where they happened, through whoever is around.
  • Power Up Let Down: When Clockwork merged with Techno-Bubble, despite his visible increase in power and stamina, his time ray was still unable to overpower Maltruant's. He was also unable to travel back to his timeline when they merged again in the next episode.
  • Shoulder Cannon: Has these when merged with Techno-Bubble.
  • Squishy Wizard: While his time powers are incredibly powerful, he's rather slow and physically clunky, with one shot from a laser blast being able to take him out.
  • Story-Breaker Power: Clockwork's time beams can age anything to dust in seconds, so any enemy Ben hits with them will be killed almost instantly. Hence why Clockwork is never used in combat, unless it's against enemies with similar time powers like Eon. Maltruant, a villainous Chronosapien, demonstrates the full extent of this, being able to freeze time on a whim to dodge attacks, duplicate himself through rapid time-shifting, locally control the flow of time for anyone, and see the future.
  • This Is a Drill: Gains the ability to shape his hands into drills when fused with Techno-Bubble.
  • Time Master: Clockwork's control over time is so powerful that he can casually destroy and restore every single timeline in the multiverse. When Vilgax used a Chronosapien time bomb attempting to do the former, No Watch Ben's Clockwork effortlessly reversed it on his first try.
  • Time Stands Still: As demonstrated in "Bengeance is Mine", he can slow down time while moving at normal speed, making him appear super-fast to observers. Ben didn't know he could do it at the time.
  • Took a Level in Badass: In Ultimate Alien, he was rarely useful in combat due to his slow speed and his lack of nonlethal options. Omniverse gives him a Time Stands Still ability and the ability to selectively control the flow of time for whatever he shoots, making him a viable choice.

    Eatle

Eatle (UA-42)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eatleov_9557.png
Voiced by: Dee Bradley Baker (Ultimate Alien), Eric Bauza (Omniverse)

Eatle was sampled from an Oryctini from the planet Coleop Terra.

  • Adorable Abomination: Specifically, his design in Omniverse. He looks remarkably sweet for a humanoid beetle freak.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Looks like a giant rhinoceros beetle. He looks even more like one in Omniverse.
  • Extreme Omnivore: Much like Upchuck, he can eat everything, including metal and concrete.
  • Horn Attack: His horn can either shoot energy beams after eating something, or just be used as a standard melee attack.
  • Moveset Clone: His powers aren't really different from Upchuck's; they consist mostly of eating non-organic materials to produce energy attacks from it. The only reason he isn't a Suspiciously Similar Substitute is because Ben was still using Upchuck when he got him, plus he has a pretty formidable charging attack that Upchuck lacks.
  • Super-Strength: His physical strength is the main thing that distinguishes him from Upchuck. He's much more capable in a standard brawl, even holding his own against a Lucubra-fused Vilgax.
  • Tough Beetles: Can easily break tough materials to then eat them and send enemies flying by ramming at them, also has high durability that allows him to withstand huge amounts of damage.
  • The Worf Effect: He doesn't get a chance to do anything in his first appearance before getting clobbered by an Ascalon-powered Vilgax. He is the only alien ever used by Ben to get this treatment and the first alien whose power wasn't revealed in his first appearance (the only others so far being Joke Characters from Omniverse).

    Fasttrack

Fasttrack (UA-28)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fasttrack.png

Fasttrack was sampled from a Citrakayah from the planet Chalybeas.

  • Early-Bird Cameo: His debut is a voiceless appearance in "Basic Training." He speaks for the first time in "A Knight to Remember".
  • Lightning Bruiser: He's stronger than XLR8 physically, though not by much. He was, however, able to lift both Tack and Magister Hulka without losing any speed despite Hulka being quite a bit bigger than him.
  • Put on a Bus: He does not appear in Omniverse. Notable in that two of the four aliens not to appear, Jetray and Chamalien, have other members of their species appear (or at least a half-member of their species in Jetray's case), while like Spitter, Fasttrack's species does not appear at all.
    • For what it's worth, Fasttrack does get a little Easter egg in "Fastcat," who is apparently his Dimension 23 counterpart.
  • Mascot Racer: Was created as one for the video game Ben 10: Galactic Racing.
  • Shout-Out: Between his powers and design, he's basically The Flash, but blue.
  • Super-Speed: Much like XLR8, though he appears to not be as fast and has less control of his speed. Not only was he unable to catch up to Dr. Animo's missile in time, but he had difficulty stopping once he'd reached top speed.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Of XLR8, though XLR8 takes back dominion in Omniverse after Fasttrack is Put on a Bus.
  • Too Fast to Stop: He has a hard time stopping if he runs fast enough.

    Jury Rigg

Jury Rigg (UA-48)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/juryrigg_ov.png

Voiced by Dee Bradley Baker (Ultimate Alien), Bumper Robinson (Omniverse)

Juryrigg is the Omnitrix's DNA sample of a Planchaküle from the planet Aul-Turrhen.

  • Boring, but Practical: While taking apart and building things doesn't seem that great on the surface, it actually allows him to do some pretty neat things such as build a motorcycle, take apart robot minions in seconds, and build contraptions that can help solve the situation at hand.
  • Evil Counterpart: Well, not evil, but he is a much more mischievous version of Grey Matter.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: When fixing things rather than breaking them. A good example was in Gone Fishing, where he defeats a whole army of robot pirates of his own... by breaking several of them and using the pieces to build a new, more powerful version to fight the remaining ones. He also built Ben's motorcycle, the Tenn-Speed. And reprogrammed the Forever Knights' Highbreed Pulse Generator to permanently mutate Will Harangue into an alien.
  • Griping About Gremlins: Basically an alien version of a Gremlin. Omniverse accentuates this by giving him an aviator suit.
  • Heroic Comedic Sociopath: When in this form, Ben feels a natural compulsion to destroy any non-damaged machine or device that is around him (the first time he used it, he ended up wrecking Kevin's car again). When used right, however, he can actually prove useful by repairing or modifying the machines.
  • The Imp: He's less than a foot tall, and was more of a nuisance than an assistance in his first couple of appearances.
  • Moveset Clone: A downplayed one of Grey Matter; both are small Gadgeteer Geniuses that can build complex machines out of scraps, but Grey Matter is slower and more tactical while Juryrigg is faster and more unpredictable. Juryrigg's personality is also much wilder.
  • Mr. Fixit: While initially only able to take machinery apart, he figured out how to fix things by the end of his first appearance.
  • Super-Intelligence: Not the extent of Grey Matter or Brainstorm, but Jury Rigg is still one of Ben's most intelligent forms.
  • Super-Strength/Super-Speed: Specifically when it comes to breaking and fixing machinery. If they're part of a machine, not even Appoplexian-proof metal bars are safe from him.
  • The Mind Is a Plaything of the Body: Jury Rigg is one of Ben's more uncontrollable aliens, and he often succumbs to his species' raw instinct of dismantling things For the Lulz.
  • Verbal Tic: He has a habit of repeating the last word he says multiple times to emphasize his excitable nature. If he doesn't have anything else to say he'll just belt out "Fix, fix, fix!" He also has a habit of cackling.
  • Walking Techbane/Walking Techfix: Yes, both. If Ben isn't controlling Juryrigg's instincts, he'll destroy every machine in sight. If he is, he can fix them just as easily.

    NRG

NRG (UA-16)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nrg_ov.png
Click here to see his true form

The third of the Andromeda Five to be acquired by Ben. NRG was sampled from alien criminal P'andor, a Prypiatosian-B, who was actually a radioactive Energy Being trapped inside a Powered Armor to prevent his radiation from killing those around him. While in the armor, NRG can produce intense heat and shoot energy beams from his visor, but, if the armor is opened, he can unleash his real powers, which include radiation, flight, heat beams, and the ability to feed on radioactive sources.

  • Atomic Superpower: NRG is a being of living radioactive energy. He wears a lead containment suit and can fire blasts of energy at will. NRG is also very hot himself, and not a form Ben can use for very long without exposing his friends to dangerous levels of radiation.
  • Containment Clothing: His suit is artificially created by the Omnitrix to protect others from his radiation. In Omniverse, the outfit he wears in his true form also does this for a short period of time.
  • Enclosed Extraterrestrials: He is only seen within the suit for the entire duration of Ultimate Alien, and it isn't until Omniverse that his true form comes out, though we always knew what he looked like under there because of P'andor.
  • Energy Beings: What he really is inside of his suit. And a radioactive one, to boot, which is why he only sparingly exits it.
  • Eye Beams: Since his three eye slits are the only openings in his suit, his energy blasts usually manifest this way.
  • Fantastic Light Source: His true form, being an Energy Being, can cast a glow powerful enough to badly injure Zs'Skayr.
  • Flying Firepower: When you get him out of the armor, he can use his status an an Energy Being to defy gravity.
  • Godzilla Threshold: Due to the radiation he gives off, Ben doesn't come out of the suit and unleash NRG's full-power unleash he has no other choice.
  • Husky Russkie: He expresses himself in a Russian-like accent and appears rather bulky thanks to his suit. However, he's rather lean underneath (unless he eats a lot of radiation).
  • Magma Man: He can generate huge lava eruptions by channeling his energy into the ground.
  • Made of Indestructium: NRG's armor, just like P'andor, is basically indestructible. Unlike P'andor, however, the helmet on NRG's armor has a handle instead of being sealed shut, making it easy for Ben to open the suit at will.
  • Mighty Glacier: He's this while inside of his suit. His armor is very strong and extremely tough, but also heavy and slow.
  • Powered Armor: Doubles as Containment Clothing, that contains NRG and keeps his radiation from harming others.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: Because of the dangerous radiation he emits, his powerful true form is sealed inside of his suit. He can easily open it in Omniverse thanks to the handle on the top, though he doesn't do this unless he has to.
  • Shed Armor, Gain Speed: When in the containment suit, NRG is slow but has enhanced strength and endurance. It also protects him from enemies like the Lucabra's mind control. Out of the suit NRG is able to fly, is much more nimble, and generates light that makes him well suited to fight enemies like Ghostfreak. His different forms are each well suited for various types of enemies.
  • Super-Strength: Courtesy of the armor. He was strong enough to easily throw a Vaxasaurian aside, albeit a rather wimpy one.
  • Unusual Eyebrows: Omniverse redesigns his true form to have lightning-shaped eyebrows when previously, P'andor was seen to have no eyebrows at all.

    Shocksquatch

Shocksquatch (Heroes United)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shocksquatch_omniverse_official.png

Voiced by David Kaye

Shocksquatch was sampled from a Gimlinopithecus from the planet Pattersonea, and was accidentally unlocked by Ben in Ben 10/Generator Rex: Heroes United; Shocksquatch is a Yeti-like alien with electrical powers.

Ben 23's version is named Electricyeti.

    Terraspin

Terraspin (UA-12)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/640px-Terraspin_001_6482.png

Voiced by Dee Bradley Baker (Ultimate Alien), Bumper Robinson (Omniverse)

The second of the Andromeda Five obtained by Ben. Terraspin was obtained from Galapagus, a Geochelone Aerio from Aldabra. Geochelone Aerio are peaceful, innocent turtle-like creatures who live in harmony with nature. They possess the ability to project powerful wind through their shell, allowing them to fly.

  • Anti-Magic: The whole species is immune to mana, though Ben never takes advantage of this when facing mana-wielding enemies, not even when traveling through a realm made of mana and fighting enemies whose only weapon is mana due to Ben never realizing this.
  • Blow You Away: While he doesn't truly control the air, all of his powers are wind-based. He can fly, shoot wind blasts, generate tornadoes, and create a powerful vacuum force.
  • Flight: He can fly like a helicopter.
  • Flying Firepower: Sort of a literal example, if you consider the fact he can use the same power for both flying and offense.
  • Forgot About His Powers: Ben never uses Terraspin's immunity to mana because he doesn't know about that part.
  • Punny Name: His name is a pun on terrapin, a term used to describe several species of brackish or freshwater turtles.
  • Spectacular Spinning: How he generates his wind attacks and how he flies. He can also use this ability to dismantle robots by holding them down and spinning.
  • Sturdy and Steady Turtles: Subverted. Terraspin's large turtle body may make him look slow, but his Spectacular Spinning and flight powers actually make him fairly quick.
  • Super-Strength: Strong enough to pick up and throw cars.
  • Tornado Move: His typical attack is to generate powerful tornadoes.

    Water Hazard

Water Hazard (UA-06)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pose_of_water_hazard.png

The first of the Andromeda Five obtained by Ben; Water Hazard was sampled from Bivalvan, an Orishan. Orishans have tough exoskeletons that make them nearly invulnerable and have the ability to control water.

Ben 23's version is named Hose Hands.

  • Cool Helmet: His Omniverse design gives him a retractable visor similar to XLR8.
  • Jack of All Stats: Amongst the Andromeda Five; he is resilient, but not as much as NRG's armor, fast but can't fly like Terraspin or AmpFibian, strong but weaker than Armodrillo, and possesses long-range attack but not as powerful as NRG's or as versatile as AmpFibian.
  • Making a Splash: Can shoot water, absorb it, and such.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: Not Ben's most resilient alien, but his exoskeleton still offers him quite an impressive durability.
  • Super Not-Drowning Skills: Bivalvan was once seen going underwater without drowning. Water Hazard never was used the same way, but it's assumed he can as well.
  • Vocal Evolution: In his debut appearance, Water Hazard sounded exactly like Bivalvan, his genetic source. In later episodes, his voice takes on a deeper tone to set him apart.
