Blood Contractor
Nanatsusaya's spirit - following Alexiel.
- Identity Amnesia: As punishment for leaving Hell to free Alexiel from Eden, YHWH trapped Lucifer's soul in the sword, with no memory of his identity. Alexiel used her knowledge of his identity to blackmail him into letting her wield the sword without suffering any ill effects.
YHWH (God)
The Creator of the Universe, who vanished long ago.
- Abusive Parents: God is the parent of most angels. God manipulates and neglects all of His children, although only a few of the angels are aware of this. Rosiel is said to be God's favourite, but this position is only envied by those who don't know what He's really like. God's constant mental, physical and sexual abuse is the main cause of Rosiel's fragile mental state. God also secretly threatens Rosiel's life to blackmail Rosiel's twin sister, Alexiel, just to see how she would behave.
- Cool Chair: Part of the package if you're GOD. Specifically, God's humanoid avatar is seen seated on a fancy throne surrounded by veils.
- Deus est Machina: Though He has a humanoid avatar, YHWH is in fact an extradimensional Being, interfacing with the universe through a massive super computer.
- Grandpa God: Downplayed. He appears as a middle-aged bearded man on a throne, surrounded by silken veils. Completely averted later when it is revealed that this is just one avatar of negligible importance. His true form is a massive supercomputer.
- Greater-Scope Villain: The entire universe is God's experiment, which he deems a massive failure. To save everyone, God must be "killed".
- Have You Seen My God?: Has been missing for centuries. The official word is that He's gone to sleep, gathering His power for the Grand Cross, when Hell's power will be strongest. This is an outright lie by Sevothtarte's regime. God simply vanished and is presumed dead or at least never to return. Given His track record, it's safe to say that He just wanted to see what would happen to Heaven in His absence.
- Mad Scientist: Has done everything (up to and including creating and plotting the destruction of the universe) to test an equation He'd fashioned.
- Manipulative Bastard: In person or in flashbacks, He barely speaks a single sentence that's not intended to hurt someone.
- Parental Favoritism: He is said to favor Rosiel. This was part of His plan to to make sure that Alexiel and Rosiel would never unite against Him.
- Parental Neglect: He goes out of His way to neglect Alexiel, then disappears and leaves the angels entirely unsupervised.
The Holy Dragon Sisters
Jade, Amber and Agate are the three dragon goddesses sealed in Kurai's earrings.
- Blind Seer: The oldest sister, Jade.
- Blow You Away: Agate.
- Color-Coded Elements: Jade - blue/water, Amber - red/fire, Agate - green/wind.
- Making a Splash: Jade.
- Our Dragons Are Different: Three elemental dragons that can assume humanoid form.
- Playing with Fire: Amber.
Doll
Uriel's maid is a wind-up doll made out of plant fibers. Her body houses Kirie's soul.
- A Dog Named "Dog": After Setsuna has suggested giving her a proper name, Doll tells Uriel that she doesn't mind being called Doll, as it's what Uriel named her.
- Organic Technology: Her body appears robotic and has to be wound up with a large key, but Uriel made it out of plant fibers.
Nanatsusaya
A fallen angel whose spirit was forged into Nanatsusaya.
- Creepy Long Fingers: Her fingers elongate at will, to slice and impale. She is a sword, after all.
- Evil Counterpart: This sword is said to be a match for Michael's Holy Sword of Flame.
- Evil Weapon: Nanatsusaya was forged of the fifth element, the hardest substance in existence. A seven-bladed sword of Angel Crystal, with the soul of an evil fallen angel grafted into it. All who have tried to wield it have been driven insane by its evil. Nanatsusaya becomes a prison for Lucifer's soul. Only Alexiel has been able to master it after Lucifer gives the order that the sword's spirit is to always protect her.
- Healing Factor: Her body gets blasted full of bullet holes, but her flesh keeps steadily regenerating.
- Literal-Minded: Setsuna is afraid of her at first. When she reaches for him, he calls out for her to stop, and she does. She stands there being repeatedly shot by Setsuna's enemy, until Setsuna gives her another order.
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: In humanoid form she is first seen with two arms, then four, then finally six. Her arms mimic the six side blades of the seven-bladed sword.
- Multi-Armed Multitasking: Forming Setsuna's first impression of her, in her four-armed form, she is decapitating and dragging a corpse while opening doors to look for him.
- Public Domain Artifact: The inspiration for this sword is the Seven-Branched Sword, one of Japan's national treasures.
- Tragic Keepsake: She brings Setsuna a tiny shard of red stone; all she has left of the stone that held Lucifer prisoner in the sword that is her body after his death.
- Undying Loyalty: Her loyalty is to Lucifer. He tells her that her reason for existing is to protect Alexiel, therefore she goes to great lengths to return to Setsuna (as the incarnation of Alexiel's soul) and protect him.
