This is a list of the broadcasting team, coaches and managers currently in All Elite Wrestling.

    Broadcast Team

Jim Ross

The hall of fame voice of wrestling commentary.

Tony Schiavone

  • Papa Wolf: As revealed in an episode of the AEW podcast, despite the on-screen animosity between Adam Cole (bay bay) and Tony, in real life, Adam had asked Tony to look out for Britt and keep her out of trouble.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Initially with Dr. Britt Baker. Eventually became...
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Dr. Britt Baker.

Taz

  • Arch-Enemy: He despised Jon Moxley, Darby Allin, CM Punk and Dante Martin, taking great pleasure in his boys beating them down. This was dropped after he ended Team Taz, as afterwards his commentary no longer involved putting them down. There is the occasional mention of his former enmity with some of these men.
  • Bald of Evil: Not a hair on his head and he hates pretty much everybody except the members of Team Taz.
  • Berserk Button:
    • He hates anyone outside his crew wearing orange, claiming it to be a color with which only he can be associated.
    • He wants to be the one instigating feuds with other wrestlers. He was incensed at CM Punk calling out Team Taz even if it was with more respect than Taz would offer to any of his enemies.
  • Breakout Character: He was originally brought in for just a guest appearance on AEW Dark; the quality of his commentary work and his remarkable chemistry with Excalibur led him to a full time contract with the company and eventually becoming a staple member of the broadcast team for Dynamite and Pay-Per-Views.
  • Catchphrase: The slogan of Team Taz is "We build assassins".
  • Combat Commentator: Taz won't wrestle any more, but he'll still hurt you if you provoke him enough.
  • Hollywood Tone-Deaf: He really likes singing off key to Tarzan Boy, much to Excalibur's chagrin.
  • Moral Myopia: Would often call out wrestlers for pulling illegal moves... unless they're part of Team Taz; with them it's just strategic thinking. He does the same for fellow Heels, one such example being a Dark match between Orange Cassidy and Nick Comoroto where Taz becomes irritated at Kris Statlander for getting QT Marshall in trouble with the ref by throwing him her knee brace… After QT was already in the ring and with clear intent to harm Orange behind the ref’s back. Clearly, Taz hasn’t heard of turnabout’s fair play.
  • Retired Badass: Long since retired from the ring, Taz is still dangerous, as Cody found out when he made the mistake of taunting Taz about his son Hook training at the Nightmare Factory instead of with his father.
  • Running Gag: To this day, he wonders how Dante Martin breached his contract signing with Team Taz with no issue. Likely an unintended side-effect of Lio Rush being silently phased out of the company after issues with him occurred, leading to everyone unable to speak further of the topic, as they'd likely have to bring him up.
  • Villain Respect: While he hates just about nearly everyone, he nevertheless gives praises to some Faces, even those that have crossed paths with Team Taz.

Excalibur

  • Combat Commentator: Being a former wrestler himself, he often names and explains moves as they're unfolding. Dustin Rhodes actually said he was surprised with the sheer extent of his wrestling lexicon, since he's able to name effectively any move on the spot within seconds of seeing it.
  • Flat "What": While he doesn't vocally say it, he does mouth it when Taz announces the disbandment of Team Taz after Powerhouse Hobbs turns on Ricky Starks.
  • In-Series Nickname: William Regal doesn't bother calling him by his name, but as the "man with the mask".
  • Large-Ham Announcer: Particularly when screaming the name out of moves ("Topé Suicidaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!").
  • Masked Luchador: A proud member of the Mexican wrestling tradition. Despite being retired, he still wears his mask out of respect.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: "UN! BE! LIEVABLE!"
  • Retired Badass: A former Luchador now in the commentary booth. His knowledge of Lucha evidently comes in handy.
  • The Smart Guy: Excalibur's claim to fame is being a co-founder of and a major on-screen presence in Pro Wrestling Guerilla, a pillar of the 2000's indie wrestling scene which brought up and inspired many of today's stars. As a result, he is extremely savvy about the history of the wrestlers he calls for, and his role on commentary is often to fill in the knowledge gaps that his co-commentators may have about the state of present-day wrestling.
  • The Straight Man: Is arguably the most straight-faced voice on commentary, and is absolutely the sane counterpart to Taz on AEW programming.

Mark Henry

  • Catchphrase: "Well, it looks like there's been enough talk. IT'S TIME FOR THE MAIN EVENT!!" The first part was eventually turned into a Borrowed Catchphrase by Orange Cassidy, which was immediately Lampshaded by Mark.

Justin Roberts

Alex Marvez

  • Demoted to Extra: He was AEW's "third wheel" on commentary in its early days before Tony Schiavone signed on, after which he moved to being AEW's backstage interviewer.
  • Intrepid Reporter: Has an uncanny ability to pop up out of nowhere to get that backstage scoop.
  • The Watson: As someone without much prior professional wrestling experience, he tends to act as the slightly ditzy reporter that receives exposition from whoever he is interviewing.

Veda Scott

Renee Paquette

Formerly known as "Renee Young", one of wrestling's premiere commentators and podcasters joined AEW in October 2022 during the promotion's Canadian debut and is the interviewer during backstage segments on Dynamite.

Nigel McGuinness

A former Ring of Honor World Champion and commentator, Nigel McGuinness appeared at Supercard of Honor 2023 as a guest before his formal signing into AEW. He joins Tony Schiavone as a commentator for AEW Collision.
  • Arch-Enemy: Nigel no longer wrestles, but his hatred for Bryan Danielson burns as hot as ever, with Nigel taking any opportunity he can to mock and besmirch Danielson.
  • Yes-Man: Is the Heel commentator on Collision, to the point where he stands and cheers for the Heels whenever they get the advantage in a match, and will try to paint any underhanded action they do as virtuous.

    Coaches and Managers

Tony Khan

The founder, president and chief executive officer of All Elite Wrestling.
  • Benevolent Boss: Very much a Real Life example, as AEW's Brodie Lee tribute show was hailed as the greatest such show in the history of the industry, with AEW and Tony Khan in particular being universally praised for their consideration and kindness towards Jon Huber's widow and children, most notably retiring the TNT Championship beltnote  to allow Brodie's son (who they actually signed to a legitimate AEW contract to support his family) to keep the belt his father held, despite all the difficulties AEW had gone through getting the belt crafted in the first place. He would later hire Jon's widow as well, naming her the company's community outreach officer.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Is a big one when it comes to his ads on Impact Wrestling.
  • Deal with the Devil: Struck a deal with MJF (who has repeatedly compared himself to the devil) to return to AEW at All Out 2022 in exchange for a large sum of money and a place in the Casino Ladder Match to stop his absence from hurting the company any longer. The promo MJF cut during the episode of Dynamite after All Out implied a second reason - to help AEW compete against the Triple H-led WWE.
  • Minor Major Character: Despite his importance to the company, Tony's appearances on television are typically limited to brief interactions with other wrestlers backstage (particularly if fights spill out into the gorilla position) and moments where he directly speaks to the cameras are exceedingly rare, such as his Ring of Honor acquisition and Forbidden Door pay-per-view announcement.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: He is a rather passive on-screen presence and often only shows up whenever a Heel needs to be shown mocking his authority in AEW. He also understands that unfettered Heels bring good ratings, and in the case of letting Kenny Omega running to Impact! with the AEW World Championship, openly states that he is fully willing to exploit letting Heels run amok for the company's benefit.
  • Promoted Fanboy: Tony Khan agreed to fund the foundation of AEW for one reason - he's a massive wrestling fan, having lurked out on message boards since the ECW days. This has actually worked out extremely well for AEW as his extensive knowledge of (and love for) wrestling and desire to give the fans what they want to see has made him a very successful booker.
  • Same Character, But Different: In AEW, Tony very rarely makes appearances (to avoid taking attention away from the product unlike some other people), but when he does, it's usually as a Reasonable Authority Figure. When he appeared on Impact, he was a massive douchebag who managed to be even more obnoxious than Kenny Omega.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Gave a massive sum of his own money to MJF in exchange for his return at All Out 2022. MJF would later use that money to acquire the services of Stokely and his clients, resulting in the creation of "The Firm" (whose ranks are comprised of disenfranchised wrestlers who Tony neglected) and giving MJF control of another group of hired goons following The Pinnacle's dissolution.

Arn Anderson

Former member of legendary stable The Four Horsemen and Arch-Enemy of Dusty Rhodes, Arn has put aside old grievances to become the coach of The Nightmare Family, accompanying Cody to ringside and giving him advice during his most important matches. After the faction disbanded, Arn was absent, but returned to become the manager for TNT Champion Wardlow in 2023.
  • Beleaguered Assistant: Has fallen into this a time or two when Cody deviates from the match plan Arn had set up to make an example of an opponent or accepts a stipulation that won't do wonders for Cody's long-term health and title reign, like the brutal street fight with Eddie Kingston.
    • Comes to a head at AEW Full Gear 2020 where Arn's vocally stressing to Cody to put Darby Allin away throughout most of the match since he has the clear edge in strength and experience, only for Cody to get cocky and ultimately lose the TNT Title when a series of reversed pinning attmepts leads to Darby getting a three count out of nowhere.
  • Old Master: Passing on his teachings to Cody and the other members of the Nightmare Family.

Jake Roberts

The legendary snake made a shocking return to wrestling in 2020 as the manager of Lance Archer, with both men coming to AEW with a bone to pick with Cody.
  • Evil Mentor: You don't get any more old-school evil with a capital "E" than The Snake.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: He's presented himself as an openly sexist, almost misogynistic, old pig since his debut, mocking Cody for Brandi apparently "wearing the pants" in their marriage, making a very creepy assault on her with the aid of his latest snake after getting Britt Baker to knock her out for him, and cutting an absurdly over-the-top sexist promo the next week. Since he's an old-school heel doing his best to generate the best heat he can, the understanding is there that you're supposed to disagree with and despise him for it.

Don Callis

The former Executive Vice President of Impact Wrestling, Don Callis is a long-term friend of Kenny Omega. After helping Omega get a dirty win for the AEW World Championship, he became his manager, embarking on a cross-promotional journey to help him and a newly-reformed Bullet Club acquire as many belts as they can.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: He made his debut at AEW Full Gear 2020 as a seemingly one-off guest commentator brought in to support Kenny Omega during his fight with Hangman Adam Page. The importance of the Callis-Omega connection wouldn't become fully apparent until AEW Winter Is Coming and Omega's Face–Heel Turn.
  • Drone of Dread: After betraying Kenny Omega, Don's entrance music uses this to a dark, unsettling effect.
  • Evil Mentor: It's hinted that his influence was a big part of Kenny's Heel turn, having groomed him into becoming the perfect wrestler from a young age. As part of his on-going narrative with Kenny in 2023, Don began enticing Konosuke Takeshita as a replacement for Kenny, which would be cemented after AEW Double or Nothing with Konosuke aligning himself with Callis.
  • Meaningful Name: Mixed with Punny Name, Callis is a homophone of the word "callous"; per Lack of Empathy, Don has little-to-no regard for anyone who isn't on his side.
  • Lack of Empathy: True to his name, Callis called out Will Ospreay for no longer wanting to use the "Tiger Driver 91" after the inaugural AEW Dynasty when he used it against Bryan Danielson, narrowly injuring the latter's neck. Don Callis couldn't care less who Ospreay uses the move on, whether its Danielson or even Kyle O'Reilly, who also had neck problems that sidelined him from AEW for over a year.
  • Never My Fault: He justifies his betrayal of Kenny Omega at AEW Double or Nothing 2023 because the latter chose to help his friends in The Elite with their running feud against the Blackpool Combat Club over being a belt collector like he was before.

Chavo Guerrero Jr.

  • Humiliation Conga: After helping his client Andrade el Idolo win against PAC on a episode of Rampage, Andrade attacked Chavo for his Unwanted Assistance, then the Lucha Bros. superkicked him, then PAC put him in the Brutalizer for two minutes. The poor guy couldn't catch a break.

Alex Abrahantes

  • Catchphrase: "Penta says..."
  • In the Hood: During Rey Fenix's absence and Penta el Cero Miedo turning into his Penta Obscura persona, Alex started wearing a robe with a hood, but Averted after Rey's return.
  • Translator Buddy: Is this to Penta.

Dan Lambert

The legendary founder of American Top Team MMA stable has decided to grace AEW with his presence, bringing some of his students along for the ride.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Vanished without explanation after Scorpio Sky lost the TNT Championship; Lambert later explained in interviews that he felt the character had ran its course and decided to quietly exit himself from television.
  • Expy: His character was a thinly-veiled caricature of vocal AEW critic Jim Cornette.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While Lambert doesn't exactly inspire many positive feelings about himself, he's able to poke holes in the logic of his opponents easily, first dismantling Cody and Brandi Rhodes and then wrecking Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo.
  • Large Ham: In order to gain heat from the audience, Dan's promos are always unabashedly loud and self-serving.
  • Straw Critic: He's often spouting conservative-leaning rhetoric as part of his Heel routine and belittles Tony Khan and the promotion's wrestlers.

"Smart" Mark Sterling

The man who serves as legal counsel to a wide array of clients, he is primarily the attorney for Jade Cargill, but has also worked with MJF, Tony Nese, Josh Woods and Ari Daivari.
  • Amoral Attorney: Most of his clients are Heels and he'll use every legal loophole to allow them to get away with anything.

Stokely Hathaway

Appearing suddenly at AEW Double or Nothing 2022, the man once known as "Malcolm Bivens" became the new manager/publicist to Jade Cargill and The Baddies. Simultaneously, Stokely frequent offers his services to other wrestlers such as Leila Grey, Lee Moriarty, Ethan Page, The Gunns and W. Morrissey/Big Bill. Following the collapse of "The Firm" faction, Stokely became part of the board of directors for Ring of Honor beginning in June 2023.
  • Butt-Monkey: Regularly gets beaten up by others, including Matt Hardy's son Maxel, who was only 7 years old during "The Firm Deletion" match in May 2023.
  • Dirty Coward: Will take any opportunity he can to attack an enemy when they're vulnerable, and flee when they're not.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: Stokely's goals in AEW were unknown; the fact that he was slowly giving Heels his business card implied he was building his own faction in the promotion secretly, but to what end was anybody's guess. At AEW All Out 2022, he, Moriarty, Page, The Gunns and Morrissey helped the "Joker" participant for the Casino Ladder Match win. By mid-September, Stokely and his clients formed a new Power Stable called "The Firm".
  • Token Evil Teammate: To Kris Statlander and Willow Nightingale, after becoming their manager in January 2024. Stokely remains as conniving as ever, and is perfectly williing to cheat in Kris and Willow's favor, even when they make it clear they don't condone that.
  • Villainous Friendship: Formerly with MJF, who proclaimed Stokely as his "best friend" as a Continuity Nod to their days working together in the independent scene, until Max no longer needed Stokely's help when he was in the running for the AEW World Championship.

Sonjay Dutt

During Supercard of Honor XV, Sonjay Dutt appeared to stop Jay Lethal from attacking Matt Sydal, but sided with Jay after the latter turned Heel at the same event. From then on, Dutt began serving as Jay's manager in AEW, while recruiting Satnam Singh into their group.

Madison Rayne

A veteran in the women's wrestling business and a household name in the TNA/Impact Knockouts Division, she joined AEW in August 2022 as one of the coaches.

Jeff Jarrett

Former co-founder of Impact Wrestling, Jeff Jarrett became All Elite in November 2022 as AEW's new director of business development and quickly aligned himself with Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Singh.
  • Evil Wears Black: His outfit is completely dark.
  • Finishing Move: "The Stroke" (forward Russian leg sweep)
  • Iconic Item: Jeff continues to head to the ring with his signature guitar, which he uses to bash wrestlers and guest appearances in the head.

C.J. Perry

The Real Life wife of Miro, C.J. Perry appeared at AEW All Out 2023 to assist her husband after a post-match beatdown by Powerhouse Hobbs. On the September 23rd episode of Collision, C.J. stated her intentions on becoming a manager again, with her first client being Andrade el Idolo.
  • Call-Back: C.J.'s entrance video uses the words "Hot & Flexible"; in Miro's promos, he often described his wife using those words.
  • Woman Scorned: Implied in her post-debut promo; C.J. claims she will become the cold, calculating manager again to show Miro that she's not playing around due to her husband "forsaking" her.
