  • Space-Filling Empire: Afro-Eurasia is the sprawling Soviet Union enriched with the areas of the Middle East and almost all of Africa, minus the southern and northern parts of cities of Africa, which are controlled by the European Federative Union.
  • Vestigial Empire: Despite the propaganda name, Afro-Eurasia does not have control over Western and Central Europe or East-South Asia, including Mainland China.
  • The Gulag: Soviet communists use the Middle Eastern deserts and African jungles as places to build new labor camps.
  • Resurgent Empire: One of the main goals of Afro-Eurasia is the unification of all its lands and the assimilation of its inhabitants under the banner of world revolution.
  • Russia Called; They Want Alaska Back: Referring to Alaska's Russian heritage serves propaganda purposes to attack the United States of Americas also called New World.
  • State Sec: The KGB, which runs the Afro-Eurasian security forces thanks to the support of the Soviet government, has a very wide range of powers, which sometimes becomes the subject of jokes at secret meetings of Afro-Eurasian citizens.
  • The Federation: The Soviet state, called a Federation, is subordinated to larger regional administrative entities, which are subordinate to the government in the Kremlin.
  • Dirty Communists: Many elements of Stalinist ideology are still practiced today, regardless of the fact that some of its views are already outdated.
  • People's Republic of Tyranny: Afro-Eurasia does not allow the nations inhabiting it to independently choose power.
  • Our Founder: Afro-Eurasia began to expand under the rule of Joseph Stalin, who is still on the lips of many as a national hero.
  • Fat Bastard: Most people on the Soviet political scene are at least overweight.
  • Please Select New City Name: Cities in Russia are named after communist leaders, for example; Kaganovka (Tyumen), Khrushchevka (Chelyabinsk), Molotov (Perm), Gromyki (Gomel).
  • Foreign Ruling Class: In the beginning, most of the Afro-Eurasian administration comes from regions outside the Russian, Middle Eastern or African culture. After Stalin's death, it is easier for Jews, Ukrainians and Latvians to trust.
  • With Us or Against Us: Activists of the Communist International have no respect for parties whose ideology is separate from Marxism-Leninism and those that are not subordinated to the Kremlin.

  • Even Evil Has Standards: Kaganovich invests state money, among others, to support endangered species of gorillas in equatorial Africa.
  • Going Native: For propaganda purposes, Kaganovich speaks to the Soviet people using a strong Ukrainian accent.
  • Narcissist: The longer Kaganovich rules, the more he is convinced of his successes, mainly economic ones, and he puts himself next to Stalin and sees himself as his only possible successor.

  • An Arm and a Leg: Khrushchev had progressive problems with his leg, which is why he now walks mostly on crutches.
  • The Coup: If the results of Soviet production are not sufficient, Khrushchev, supported by the KGB and the presidium, replaces Kaganovich.
  • Internal Reformist: Khrushchev is less politically extreme and abolishes some forms of artistic censorship and prohibits some methods of punishing prisoners.
  • Welcome Back, Traitor: Khrushchev may be readmitted to the party after Molotov's coup and even become Minister of Agriculture.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: While he was finance minister during Stalin's rule, he proposed agricultural reforms to breed the varieties of corn that grew in Iowa throughout Afro-Eurasia. It became a joke told by Soviet citizens to cool down the atmosphere in the totalitarian state.

  • Meaningful Rename: Litvinov used to be called Meir Henoch Wallach before he decided to work for the Soviet politics.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: The Litvinov Doctrine focuses primarily on distracting the rest of the world from the crimes committed in Afro-Eurasia (collectivization, purges) by proclaiming disarmament and the fight against fascism, but few politicians fall for this.
  • Plot-Triggering Death: Litvinov's departure from politics due to his poor health becomes a pretext for the election of a new foreign minister when the main factions of the Communist Party put forward their candidate for this position.

Role: People's Commissar for Financenote  (Kaganovich cabinet), General Secretarynote  (Counter-coup)
Party: Kommunisticheskaya Partiya Sovetskikh Respubliknote

  • Harmless Villain: Molotov's position as Economy Minister serves to prevent him from being given too little or too much power.
  • Viewers Are Morons: Molotov is an ardent fan of opera performances of the works of Pushkin and Dostoyevsky, but he does not boast about it among politburo because he considers others too culturally primitive.
  • Evil Colonialist: Molotov is called an imperialist by some because of his proposals for laws on the Cyrillization of African and Middle Eastern languages.
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: Khrushchev decides only to dismiss Molotov from the party and send him as a representative to the Buryat administration, because it is important for him that people see that the new General Secretary Khrushchev is merciful and fair even towards the "perpetrators of terror".
  • Jerkass to One: Molotov often interferes with Kaganovich's ambitions, dismantling his plans and presenting real possibilities of the Soviet economy that could not cope with the fantasies of the general secretary.

  • Necessarily Evil: Shepilov believes that Soviet policy must be tough because, according to him, failure to put pressure on enemies will result in the weakening of Afro-Eurasia.
  • Realpolitik: Shepilov prefers to ally with Southeast Asians to be able to attack "fascist" Western Europe in case of provocation.

Role: Minister of Defence, General Secretarynote  (Konevist Coup)
Party: Kommunisticheskaya Partiya Sovetskikh Respubliknote
Ideology: Marxism-Leninismnote

  • State Sec: Depending on the General Secretary, either the Red Army or the KGB has greater influence on the political security of the Soviet state.
  • Enemy Mine: Konev's greater devotion to the Stalinist regime gave him the opportunity to quickly rise to the position of minister, unlike Zhukov, who was becoming more popular than Kaganovich.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Konev, who feels exploited in political games, ends his job as a minister and only works in the army for a while, before retiring.
  • Military Coup: If the situation is so bad, the Red Army will be able to stage a coup and appoint its own interim authorities.

Role: Head of Spetsnaz
Party: Kommunisticheskaya Partiya Sovetskikh Respubliknote

  • Patriotic Fervor: Dovchenko was born in Podlaskie Voivodeship, and his actions on the Soviet-Polish border are intended to destabilize Poland and enable the Soviets to capture culturally Belarusian Hajnaŭka.
  • Reassigned to Antarctica: Then, when liberal reforms in Afro-Eurasia go too far, Dovchenko will be removed from the position of head of Spetsnaz and sent as consul in São Paulo so that he will not have any influence on decisions in the Kremlin.

Party: Stalinovsko-Dinastichnaya Partiya Voyovnikov iz Vneshnego Miranote
Ideology: Monarcho-Stalinismnote

  • Defector from Decadence: Goro and other representatives of the Shokan family at some point cannot stand looking at the totalitarianism of the Soviets, so they create their interpretations of Stalinism.
  • Properly Paranoid: Goro, however, has his own apparatus for monitoring people, but it is less oppressive than, for example, Kaganovich.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Goro reverses some of the laws governing Afro-Eurasia, giving greater freedom in artistic fields and stopping the tendency to lock political opponents in psychiatric hospitals.
  • Repressive, but Efficient: The Darwinist tendencies of the new regime are expected to produce, within 18 years, a new generation of the best warriors who will win wars in the name of Goro.

  • Meaningful Rename: Goro, as part of de-Bolshevization, changes the names of Soviet cities named after Bolsheviks back to those before the change.
  • Nepotism: Goro promotes his Shokan relatives to new positions after Bolshevik officials.
  • New Meat: Young boys are encouraged to fight so that it is known from an early age who is strong and will endure enough to be promoted, and who will have to serve the stronger.
  • Never Learned to Read: As Goro comes from the outworld, he does not speak Russian well and sometimes has to rely on translators from his side or the Soviet side.
  • Baby Factory: A large part of Catholic mothers is to encourage Catholics to participate in the struggle to carry out the war for existence.
