  • Up: Old man trying to cope with his wife's death kills his childhood hero and steals his pets and vehicle. He leaves his house in Venezuela.
  • Up in the Air: Man embarks on an epic quest...to get a bunch of frequent flyer miles. Somehow, it's not boring.
    • Alternatively, man who isolates himself from everyone in his life and doesn't really care about anyone is forced to mentor a young woman. Both of them make money off of firing people with little remorse about it, and their actions indirectly lead to someone getting killed. It's a comedy, and we're supposed to sympathize with both of these people.
    • Or, a fully-grown adult man learns that caring about people is a Good Thing™.
  • Us: Mutes dress like Michael Jackson, test some scissors, and eventually hold hands.
  • The Usual Suspects: Inconsistent testimonies of a crime leave the police as confused as the audience.
