Awesome Music / Vs. Mouse

Go To

Yes, despite (or perhaps because of) the mod's infamy for the horrid music of its earlier versions, many a remaster has been created to give it a page-worth of bangers.

  • "Insanity Psychosis" is a bit of a hidden gem among the rest of the 2.0 version, starting with a disturbing circus tune before transitioning to a more dramatic harmonization between Boyfriend and Suicide Mouse. Going through the pipeline of remaking eventually turned it into this, which maintains the same kind of vibe with three times the impact.
  • "The End" manages to nail its dark, ominous feeling and contains one of the mod's better chromatics. The extended mix keeps the same intensity while adding a second phase that amps it up even further.
  • While "Misery" is generally viewed as the exact opposite of this, this remix composed by Olimac31 takes the original and turns it into a catchy-as-hell electro-swing tune, complete with an instrumental piano segment in the middle. Even Novatos Team themselves approved of it so much that Olimac was officially hired for the mod's 3.0 update (though it later ended up scrapped after Olimac left the team due to issues with its directing). The version of Misery in 2.6 (composed by SansPZSG), however, does a great job itself in the realm of electro-swing.
  • "Happy Ride" is a delightfully haunting track composed by Olimac31, which combines upbeat and unsettling and makes it work. Olimac31 gave the team permission to use the song in the 2.5 update, and in the 3.0 update alongside SansPZSG's version, which is also considered to be a good song.
  • The 3.0 remake of Suicide takes the little it has and transforms it into a frantic, insane track that switches tones several times and even uses Suicide Mouse's original, discordant screams and laughter to great effect.
  • The replacement for "Scrap", "Sky Fallen", is a completely different song with an exciting, climactic energy that tests the limits of Boyfriend's high-pitched vocals.
  • While it isn't in the mod itself, a remix of the infamous Welcome Old composed by Saster (one of the fandom's most highly-respected composers) was posted after much Memetic Mutation, and it's about as incredible as fans had dreamed, taking the well-known melodies and turning them into one hell of a swing tune.
  • A scrapped version of "Revenge" created by AttackPan gives the song an extra layer of drama that makes it feel almost like a farewell of sorts.
  • SansPZSG makes his first step outside of Disk-3 with this remake of "Crisis", a slower-paced earworm of a song with a backing track reminiscent of demented circus music that makes the titular character feel like a strange, unnerving invader.
