"And now it's time for Silly Songs With Larry: The part of the show where Larry comes out and sings... a Silly Song."

Silly Songs With Larry:

  • The Hairbrush Song. is awesome because of its genuine-looking silliness with how damn seriously it takes looking for a hairbrush mixed with the soaring, even powerful music. It won first place in the Ultimate Silly Song Countdown video, and is one of the first Silly Songs out there. Since the show has lasted for over two decades, it's really awesome that a song from the very beginning is still highly regarded.
  • Endangered Love. If you want a song that perfectly represents how people act when they are really invested in their fandoms, this song is for you!
  • Cebuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! It's just so catchy. And this song started the whole "End of Silliness" sub-plot that lasted for a few episodes. Keep in mind that only two or three episodes would premiere each year, so this song started a sub-plot that kept kids invested for a year! Not bad for a religious show with vegetables.
  • School House Polka. Not only is it an awesome tribute to School House Rock, but it's amazingly catchy and creative in its own right. Special mention to the accordion solo that briefly turns into perhaps what could best be described as a German metal/polka breakdown.
  • Larry's High Silk Hat from Sill-we mean, Classy Songs with Larry. Archibald and Larry dramatize the plight of young Larry and his titular hat to the tune of "Funiculi, Funicula", and it has never been more catchy.
  • Dance of the Cucumber is a catchy fun tune, with Larry singing in Spanish (for additional value) and Bob translating. The translation is hilarious as Bob is forced to repeat lyrics about how he is not able to dance as well as Larry. This all adds up to one of the best Silly Songs.

Songs From the Stories:

  • Rock on, LarryBoy! The fact that it was produced by Shux, who is a real beat maker and musician is pretty cool. And that he got "veggied" as a corn shuck for the episode.
  • All of LarryBoy's theme songs, including Newsboys playing League of Incredible Vegetables. What makes these songs awesome is that they are really bombastic and play the context of the episode completely straight. Most songs are silly, but they are aware it's a silly song. These guys play it completely serious, which makes the song more hilarious because of how into it the musicians are.
  • "Oh no! What we gonna do? The king likes Daniel more than me and you." The first villain song in Veggietales and they have overlapping lyrics with different tempos. It was really the first indication that Veggietales had clever writing for their songs. It's also impressive from a technical standpoint, having that loose, "Sing Sing Sing"-esque drum beat play out on a rinky-dink early 90s Casio. Also for including the immortal lyric "we'll use him as a footstool or a table to play Scrabble on then tie him up and beat him up and throw him out of Babylon."
  • The Stuff-Mart Suite and Rap. The former, besides being the origin of the "Allow us to introduce ourselves." meme, also has the Scallions expertly manipulate Madame Blueberry into wanting to buy from the Stuff-Mart. The latter is a minute long rapid fire of everything the mart has to offer, performed as a rap, and is hilarious.
  • The Battle Is Not Ours. One of the few serious songs in Veggietales, it's surprisingly powerful. Especially when the violins kick in.
  • Second Chances is amazing! Because ya see, GOD'S A GOD OF MERCY, GOD'S A GOD OF LOVE, RIGHT NOW HE'S GOIN' LEND A HELPING HAND FROM ABOVE! A full gospel choir just hits you with black gospel music. The song uplifts the main character at his lowest moment and the song fits the trope Gospel Choirs Are Just Better gloriously!
  • "In the Belly of a Whale" by the Newsboys from the credits of Jonah is incredibly catchy!
  • "Haman's Song" is one of the BEST villian songs in the show.
    Haman: Haha! Mordecai is busted!
  • The "Rumor Weed Song" comes in close second. Mainly because it's sung by the first non-veggie... thing in the show. And it's so catchy.
A tiny little story is all I need.
You better watch out for the Rumor Weed!
  • The Thankfulness Song. Another one of the rare serious songs in Veggie Tales, this classic is a sweet prayer and reminder of what Veggie Tales is really about. The first few notes of the tune even play at the beginning of most episodes, with the "Why we do what we do" screen. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who has been raised on Veggie Tales who doesn't get sentimental when this song is played, no matter how long it's been since they've watched the show.
  • Hope's Song. It's a triumphant song about just why the Easter story is important. It's not about the bunnies, candy or eggs; it's about a man who was the Prince of absolutely everything but gave all that up because he couldn't stand the idea of living forever without the humans he loved. They even address the people who point that the story of Good Friday isn't good; to quote Hope herself, "If that [Jesus' Crucifixion] was the end of the story, there wouldn't be any hope. But it isn't..." And Mood Whiplash at its finest after the song where Hope forces Mister Nezzer's character to live his decision to see the church destroyed, saying "Of course we all have to live with our decisions..."
"God has made a way, for all who mourn and grieve. Death can never be the end if you just believe. There is nothing left to fear, nothing heaven knows. He died for us to give us life and to give us hope, he rose..."
  • Show You Love from "Beauty and the Beet" starts us off with a rollicking song about how sometimes people can be very unlovable and others may try to talk us out of loving them but frequently knowing one person loves them unconditionally can lead to Character Development. It also calls out people who take one look at someone and call them a lost cause without even a thought of trying to find out just why someone is "rough around the edges".
  • "I Can Be Your Friend" at the conclusion of the equally awesome episode "The Gourds Must Be Crazy" teaches us a lesson about befriending others, even if they are completely different to us. It comes with a happy, upbeat melody, meaningful lyrics and even points out that it's the inside that matters most. The song has become so famous, there's actually a Boyz in the Sink version, which even has a real song structure, making this song just as awesome as the original!

Exclusive Albums:

  • One of the songs that managed to get a Veggie cover on their country album? Achy Breaky Heart. Better? The voice actors were brave enough to sing it near-completely unchanged! Awesome, right?
