Given French Bread's history with Melty Blood and that it was co-developed by Arc System Works, it should come as no surprise that Under Night In-Birth has an absolutely kick-ass soundtrack, courtesy of Raito.

    Character Themes
  • Hyde's theme, "Scraper Sky High". The rocking guitars will be sure to get your blood pumping for a fight. The [UNI2 Mix] takes the rock-out factor to whole new levels, making the guitars heavier and replacing the electronic drums with real ones, as well as adding a whole new bridge section.
  • Linne's theme, "Night Walker", combines fast-paced beats with fast-moving piano keys to create an air of mystery fitting for this princess of the night. Chronicle mode gives her a slower emotional remix, simply named "LINNE", which plays during some of the most pivotal moments of the story. The [UNI2 Mix] puts more emphasis on the synths and drums, and also adds a whole new piano section that wouldn't sound out of place in a Bayonetta game.
  • Waldstein's theme, "Maximize Power!" What it lacks in speed it makes up for with guitars that simply scream power, fitting for our resident Mighty Glacier. The [UNI2 Mix] removes a lot of the elctronic percussion and adds more sinister-sounding orchestral elements, playing into the old man's apparent Face–Heel Turn.
  • Carmine's theme, "Bad Surface". The hectic beat combined with the screeching guitars fits perfectly with Carmine and his sadism. The [UNI2 Mix] is, surprisingly enough, a bit more subdued in the guitar front, playing into the heartbeat-esque rythm while still doing a great job of capturing Carmine's bloodthirsty nature.
  • Orie's theme, "Purity And Strictly", combines piano and strings to create an air of dignity and elegance fitting for our resident Lady of War. The [UNI2 Mix] adds more emphasis on the ouright gorgeous bass, as well as adding some backing acoustics that help compliment the strings, with the second loop bringing in more a heavier piano and electric guitar, reflecting Orie's growing independence.
  • Gordeau's theme, "Rushing Heart", sounds imposing at first but later delves into more heroic-sounding guitar chords, representing how Gordeau isn't as bad as he seems at first glance. The [UNI2 Mix] adds even heavier guitars as well as a rather snazzy electric organ that helps emphasize Gordeau's laid-back nature while also occasionally diving into some melancholic chords, reflecting his inner struggle.
  • Merkava's theme, "Unseen Entities". A dubstep piece with drum n' bass elements that sounds positively and fittingly alien. The [UNI2 Mix] brings in a wavy guitar and irregular drumbeats, further emphasizing Merkava's eldritch nature.
  • Vatista's theme, "Snow Sisters", sounds like something out of a Christmas soundtrack, combining chimes, piano, and a guitar to create something that's equal parts mysterious, innocent, and powerful. The [UNI2 Mix] puts emphasis on a much gentler-sounding piano, reflecting Vatista's childlike nature while also making the guitars heavier.
  • Seth's theme, "Monochrome Memory". Awesome even by this game's standards, the darker-sounding guitars in this song cement Seth's status as an Anti-Hero. The [UNI2 Mix] adds a subtle organ into the mix that creeps in and out of the backing instruments, befitting a shadow-lurking assassin such as himself, as well as adding a new guitar solo that also plays into his anti-hero status.
  • Yuzuriha's theme, "Moving Like A Blossoming Lily♪". A great way to set the tone for a Japanese-inspired Iaijutsu Practitioner who also happens to be a Genki Girl. The [UNI2 Mix] manages to sound even snazzier, as well as adding a funky sounding guitar that plays up Yuzu's more alluring elements. The second loop brings the guitar to the forefront, reflecting Yuzuriha's more serious side.
  • Hilda's theme, "Overwhelm Despair". Between the menacing guitars and the Ominous Latin Chanting going at it back and forth, this song is perfect for a Final Boss.
  • Eltnum's theme, "Blood Drain -Again-". A rocking remix of the main theme of Melty Blood: Actress Again, it's proof that though she's in a different game going under a different name, Sion's still raring and ready to go. Want to know something even better than that? Then how about the vocal version? The [UNI2 Mix] adds even more allusions to the original song, making it feel like a true celebration of Melty Blood as a whole.
  • Akatsuki's theme, "Open War -Again-". An updated remix of the intro theme of Akatsuki Blitzkampf to herald the return of the Invincible God of Thunder. The [UNI2 Mix] makes the guitars even more pronounced, as well as adding a new guitar solo.
  • Chaos' theme, "Erudite Eyes", is far more subdued compared to some of the other themes but no less fast-paced, representing how Chaos prefers to use his brain over his brawn. The [UNI2 Mix] adds more pronounced synths, while also playing up the darker section of the track before the song loops, reflecting Chaos' more sinister side.
  • Nanase's theme, "Gallant Girl ~Blowing Wind that Flows from the Sky~". A cheery, upbeat theme that won't sound out of place in a lighthearted anime. The [UNI2 Mix] drastically tones down the synth while adding more rock elements such as an electric guitar and real drums.
  • Byakuya's theme, Beat Eat Nest. Frantic drums, chaotic piano chords, and a rocking guitar to create something that's fitting for a character as broken as he is. The [UNI2 Mix] adds a higher emphasis on the guitar and piano, emphasizing Byakuya's ever-degrading sanity and tragic backstory more than ever before.
  • Phonon's theme, Sounds of Night Wind♪. A synth piece set to the backdrop of a classy piano. The [UNI2 Mix] puts heavier emphasis on the synths and drums, almost doing away with piano entirely, all without losing its allure and funkiness.
  • Mika's theme, "Forceful Step". Upbeat, cute, spunky, and heroic-sounding from beginning to end, and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The [UNI2 Mix] manages to make the song sound even catchier with a more pronounced beat, and a snazzy guitar backing up the synths.
  • Wagner's theme, "Flame and Destiny". A symphonic rock piece that gives off Castlevania vibes, with the strings representing Wagner's calm and ladylike appearance and the electric guitar representing her fiery personality. The [UNI2 Mix] adds even more orchestral elements with the addition of a real violin, a backing piano, and church bells.
  • Enkidu's theme, "Extreme Stream", combines powerful guitars with a calm Japanese flute to represent Enkidu's love of battle underneath his quiet exterior. The [UNI2 Mix] adds even more metal elements, as well as a completely new guitar solo.
  • Londrekia's theme, "Icefield White Knight", features a combination of a soft piano and a heavy guitar, with some Chopin in there for bonus awesome points. Perfect for someone so graceful yet powerful. It is regarded by many as the best character theme in the game. The [UNI2 Mix] ups the ante by putting higher emphasis on the kick drums and adding a downright beautiful piano solo.
  • Unlike the rest of returning cast, who all got remastered versions of their old themes, Hilda instead gets a completely new theme. "Relatively Despair" takes the recurring motifs of "Overwhelm Despair" and turns them completely on their head, going from a bombastic Final Boss theme to something much, much colder and sinister, reflecting Hilda's newfound desire for revenge.
  • Tsurugi's theme, "Keep on Shining!", is a blood-pumping rock track with powerful, uplifting riffs and synths.
  • Kaguya's theme, "Tearing Bullet", is a beautiful combination of elegance and power, combining a gentle piano and electronic beats with a shredding guitar, emphasizing Kaguya's grace just as much as her efficiency as a marksman.
  • Kuon's theme, "Rebirth, Immortal Advent", is a Dark Reprise of the unnamed song that was used in the initial reveal trailer for the first game in the series over more than a decade ago. A Call-Back that works shockingly well, serving as both a testament to Kuon's power with the combination of soft but menacing guitar riffs and the triumphant-sounding brass, while also acting as something of a musical Bookends for the series so far.
  • The absolutely awesome battle theme for Gordeau vs. Chaos matches, "Cross Thought". The heavy guitars from Gordeau's theme and the pianos from Chaos show their friendly yet competitive rivalry. The [UNI2 Mix] takes on a more tragic air as Gordeau's grief over the loss of Roger as well as the revelation of Chaos' affiliation with Kuon come to the forefront.
  • The theme for Hyde vs. Seth matches, "Mutual Situation", which uses elements of both "Scraper Sky High" and "Monochrome Memory" where two guitars compete against each other, reflecting the uncertain but conclusive rivalry shared between Hyde and Seth. The [UNI2 Mix] takes it even further with the additional of real drums.
  • The theme for Londrekia vs. Wagner matches, "Incompatible Relation", is a somber, militaristic piece with the heavier parts befitting a duel between Licht Kreis and Ritter Schild's finest, and the softer parts having a more tragic air to them, reflecting Wagner's inner turmoil and Londrekia's desire for peace between the two conflicting factions. The [UNI2 Mix] turns the orchestra up to eleven while still retaining the uncertainty of the song.

    Other
  • The character select theme of the first game, "Gathers Under Night". What sells this piece is the piano, forgoing a traditional electric guitar in favor of adding a layer of mystery fitting for a battle between our denizens of the night.
  • The versus theme, "Touch & Go", is just as epic for something about ten seconds long.
  • The opening theme of the original arcade version, "A Thousand Years of Red And Black". A fast paced ballad which truly feels like the start of something amazing.
  • The opening of Exe: Late, "Yaten no Ori - Recurrence Starry night", is a calming song at first but in the end, it transforms into a very strong and awesome song, a worthy opening of the series which is sadly only one and a half minutes.
  • The arcade opening of Exe: Late[st], "End of Dawn", which starts off with violin and drum goodness with some piano in there. On the other hand, the console version opening, "Unknown Actor" starts things off with a crisp piano and guitar before the vocals kick in, and things only get better from there.
  • The console opening of Exe: Late[cl-r], "False Infinite Parallel", a high-energy vocal and electric guitar track featuring a piano interlude with softer vocals toward the end before returning to its initial intensity.
  • The normal credits theme, "Heart Beat Breaker". A musical congratulatory message with rocking guitars that would be completely fitting as an anime end credits theme.
  • "As Seen Through An Orphan's Eyes", the arcade ending theme for Hilda, Merkava and Carmine. A dark, somber tune with a badass piano and almost robotic sounding vocals which definitely sounds like something bad is going to happen, and in the latter's case, the current plot is starting to take shape... and it isn't looking pretty.
  • Nanase's arcade ending theme, "Under The Distant Blue Sky". A spunky, bouncy and no doubt rock-out song which reflects Nanase's status as a tomboyish yet no doubt cheery and happy girl.
  • Then we have the polar opposite: "The Cradle of Demise", Byakuya's arcade ending theme. A slow, dark, ominous yet rather tragic sounding lullaby that perfectly describes the situations of both Byakuya and Strix.
  • "Fierce Dark Night", Enkidu's arcade ending theme. A tough sounding and badass techno-rock piece that you can't help but headbang to.
  • Wagner's arcade ending theme, "Requiem of The Crimson Sword". A somber yet somewhat uplifting piece with a beautiful sounding orchestra and an absolutely gorgeous sounding synthetic bass at the end which sounds like it came straight from a Sega Genesis game.
  • Londrekia's arcade ending, "Invitation to the Ending World", is an unexpectedly beautiful tune despite its somber title. Its vocals are something straight out of an Inuyasha ending from the early 2000's.
