Twice is one of the relatively few K-pop girl groups to have a sizeable international fanbase. Though commonly associated with cutesy bubblegum pop, there is a lot more to them beneath the surface.

Title tracks:

  • "Fancy" won even previous non-fans for a good reason. The song's so fast-paced that it sends a rush of adrenaline to your bloodstream, yet the instrumentals are intricately fashioned and layered. TWICE's signature vocals are used to maximum effect here; overall, a single that really shows their maturing sound as artists, but retains that rollercoaster sugary kitsch that's part of their charm.
  • "Cry For Me" was acclaimed by fans and critics, despite only being meant to be a special performance song and not a real addition to their discography. It features swelling, orchestral instrumentation and some of the members' finest and most dramatic vocals to date. The lyrics are also a perfect blend of English and Korean.

B-sides:

  • "Love Foolish," which was co-written by Momo, is a seductive, delicious slice of dance-pop that marks the group's increasing maturity as artists.
  • "When We Were Kids" by Dahyun is an emotional and sweet Ode to Youth about looking back on one's childhood, and wishing to let their kid selves see how far they've come.

Japanese/English singles:

  • "Kura Kura" is a sleek and soaring pop track about falling in love that'll make anyone swoon.
  • "The Feels" is their official English debut. There was clearly a lot of work put into making a good first impression on new people with a fun disco song with a catchy bassline and catchier lyrics. It's Lighter and Softer than most of their 2020 releases, but without reverting to the bubblegum pop sound of their first three years.
