Splatterhouse is not only well known for being an awesome gore fest, but also for its cool music, whether creepy, upbeat, or BLOOD PUMPING, ADRENALINE FUELLING HEAVY METAL, the ghoulishly sick Splatterhouse has equally sick tunes.

NOTE: Most of these titles were made up by the fans responsible for ripping the tracks (the "Captain Mozzarella" bit is a dead giveaway, as the boss' canonical name is Hell Chaos). It's not currently known what titles, if any, they were given by the original composers.

Splatterhouse (1989)

  • I Will Find You, the first stage theme, sets the tone for the rest of the levels to come.
  • Can o' Worms, the first boss theme, is frantic and fast.
  • They're Here is a spooky, entropic boss theme for the Poltergeist boss, which slowly gets more chaotic as the boss goes on.
  • Out There fits with the spooky forest full of zombies, plus a remix of the theme is used as a interlude in the Turbographix version.
  • Adrenaline, despite being a loop, lives up to its name.
  • The Halls sounds like something straight out of an '80s horror flick. Pure dread and suspense.
  • Hall of Mirrors has a creepy melody implying something is waiting in the shadows, ready to pounce.
  • Personal Reflection, the accompanying song to the one above, confirms your suspicions with a intense tune combines with a hint of confusion.
  • The Saint Comes Marching In (not to be confused with the religious song of the same name) is a upbeat, church-themed boss theme perfect for an inverted cross. Ironically, the Turbographix version is much more somber and fitting of a church, despite not actually having one.
  • They Want to Eat Me sounds strange, like even the game is confused about the Boreworms (the boss of level 1) coming back.
  • Sleeping Beauty has a wide array of emotions, from relief, to confusion, to outright terror and even some regret. It's an especially tragic boss theme for Mutated Jennifer.
  • Apparently people claim the Necromancer is saying "I'm a groove'n'", and who can blame him when the song that plays when he's around is Voodoo doodoo.
  • I can Feel It in My Veins is a rightfully spooky track, and despite being played in one of the hardest stages in the franchise, it really feels like you're in a place you shouldn't be in.
  • Herzelied is creepy and chaotic, especially since it plays when you fight the Heart inside the house's Womb.
  • The Requiem of Captain Mozzarella might be a silly nickname (and theme) for a Final Boss, but it's a very somber track that accompanies you facing Hell Chaos.
  • The ever popular "This Story is Happy End?". Despite its hilariously bad grammar, it's a somber, bittersweet tune detailing how despite Rick getting revenge on West, Jennifer still died, and by his own hands.

Splatterhouse 2

  • Decrepit Uncertainty is a spooky, nervous tune fitting for a haunted house (burned or not).
  • Fleshy Insanity is a perfect boss theme for the game, so much so it's used for the first and last bosses.
  • Bloody Puppets is a creepy, very Halloween-esque boss theme fitting for the unsettling boss it accompanies.
  • A Chaotic Summoning is the (boss) theme for level 6, and is rightfully hectic.
  • Crystal Prison is a surprisingly calm, somber, and beautiful song for a game where you brutally mutilate demonic abominations.
  • The Evil One's Escape, despite the title, is slow and menacing. Especially for a Big Bad-to-be.

Splatterhouse 3

Splatterhouse (2010)

  • Morbid Dismemberment by Brooklyn death metal band Mutant Supremacy, which has a title that fits the game by itself, is a wonderfully vicious track that suits the game's gore-soaked fighting well.
  • Dead Shall Rise by Terrorizer. An old-school grindcore number with some of the most intense drumming out of any of the songs in the soundtrack; perfect for ripping zombies and mutant butchers apart.
  • Walk with Me in Hell by Lamb of God. Written by the band's guitarist Mark Morton, it is (surprisingly) a love song for Morton's wife about being with someone through thick and thin, and as such, is an immensely fitting track for Rick's journey as he battles forces of evil to save Jennifer.
  • Dying Breed by Five Finger Death Punch. The opening track to the band's second album War is the Answer, it's a fast-paced track that'll get you pumped up and excited to kick some monster ass as you descend.
  • Apocalyptic Havoc by Goatwhore plays in the final stage as Rick fends off the hordes of monsters attacking Jennifer. A fitting track, considering that the return of the Corrupted is sure to bring on The End of the World as We Know It.
